She was a dreamer ► Viva Las VegaStamps

Hi folks!

 

I've created an Art Journal Spread "She was a dreamer" using some gorgeous VLVS! rubber stamps. 

 1.    I stamped the Whimsical Lettered Man twice, once on my spread and once on a piece of scrap paper to mask my image.

2.    I stamped all other elements in different colours over the image

3.    The main image was coloured with Pitt Artist pens

4.    To create some kind of a frame I added the stitches

5.    I stamped the sentiment several times without reinking my stamp

6.    I distressed the edges with some ink

7.    At last I added some inked water splashes

I have used the following stamps:

19679 - Whimsical Lettered Man 2

19565 - Measuring Tape Section

20172 - Row of Scribble Circles/Eyes

20170 - Rows of Numbers

19643 - Sawtooth Stitching lines

19635 - She was a dreamer

Other supplies:

Florence Watercolour Paper

Ranger Distress Inks

Encouraging Art Journal Page ► Viva Las VegaStamps Blog

Hi guys, I'm on the blog today over at VLVS!

Today I share my last post for 2018 at Viva Las VegaStamps and I am sharing a couple of lovely stamps!               

I created yet another Art Journal page with Distress Oxides and the wonderful encouraging sentiment.

I used the same technique I had introduced on one of my recent posts, i.e. here!

I stamped the rose bush with the colours (Broken China and Worn Lipstick) I used on the background, just to give it a more interesting look.

After adding the "frame" with the stitching line from Plate 1459 I stamped the sentiment and added more prints of the rose bush with black Archival ink.

I used the following stamps:

20146 - Rose bush

19642 - Stitching line

20224 - Sentiment

I used Scribble Sticks and water on the background of my journal page along with stencils and some stamps for more texture. The image is one of the new ones designed by Dina Wakley, the sentiment is from Dyan Reaverly.

For my Art Journal page I used Distress Oxides on the background along with some water drops and the sea weed stamps. All images are from Ranger, designed by Dina Wakley, the sentiment was thought up in the old brain 😇

Art Journaling with Viva Las VegaStamps!

Good morning, my friends!

I'd like to show you another Art Journal page which I created for Viva Las VegaStamps.

I used Distress Oxides in three different colours on my watercolour paper and applied some texture with a stencil. For a bit more interest, I did some stamping with the scribble circle and the crossmarks background stamp.

I stamped the scribble heart overlapping, the second time without re-inking. 

I had to stamp the sentiment twice, since I changed the words just a bit (Excuse me, Mr. Warhol!)

The exclamation mark is from this sentiment: 9184!

I distressed the edges, et voilà, ready is my journal page.

I used some Miracle Tape to glue my page into my journal!

Art Journaling for Our Mixed Media Moods

For the current challenge at Our Mixed Media Moods I created this page.

I just knew I would get stuck on Pink. I should've left it there and start all over with other colors, but I kept going on and on, until I was so frustrated that I almost dumped it in the trash. But then I thought I might as well face my bad moods and failures and show it after all. .......
