Phrase Play #6

Hi there! Welcome to day two of the July Papertrey Ink countdown.  I'm here today to share a few samples using one of this months new dies and its coordinating stamp set... Phrase Play #6This new stamp set and die has tons and tons of different ways you can mix and match the pieces. The individual letters in the die will pop out, allowing you to create many different color combos. The frame can be kept in place and backed for a shaker box, or just used in a different color.  Too many options to list.  As you can tell below I had a bunch of fun exploring and pairing these pieces together in unique ways.

Keep in mind that these items will be available for purchase beginning July 15th at Papertrey Ink.  Plus, more info and a detail look at these items can be found on Nichole Heady blog today.

So, let me get right to today's projects...
First up, a sunny little number.  A cheery greeting from the sentiment to the backdrop.
The "you" panel was stamped with a sunrise image from the On The Farm stamp set.  Then finished off with a few harvest gold buttons.
"Sending You Birthday Wishes" is perfectly paired with a few balloons from the Birthday Style stamp set.
Here's a fun color combo of sweet blush (in the pattern paper), harvest gold, summer sunrise and orange zest.  For a fun layered look two of the balloons were placed behind the Phrase Play #6 die cut.  The "you" has been moved from its original formation, as is the "birthday wishes", giving this card a better visual flow. Sort of like it's floating away with the balloons.
Here I've shone a little love for this Phrase Play die by leaving it as is.
I've emphasized the die with a couple angled pattern paper panels behind it that peek on through the detailed cutouts.  Then finished the card off with an enamel heart and dots.  Simple yet pretty.

Well, that concludes today's look at Phrase Play #6. Just remember... this set will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning July 15th

Now, be sure to visit Nichole Heady for the details on today, day 2 of the countdown.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Let me share...
This pattern paper is soooooo cool!
I had fun playing with the direction of its pattern and used it to draw all of the attention to the sentiment stamped on the card.  All supplies used are from the Cuppa Card Kit.
Used this beautiful sentiment to create a sweet baby girl card.
The falling star pattern paper was a perfect fit for the theme and the gold bow made the ideal embellishment.  All supplies from the Cuppa Card Kit.
Hand stamped arrows draw attention to this heartfelt message.
This cool card features a trendy color combo and chevron washi tape. I just love this narrow tape! A wooden button tied with gray embroidery floss makes the perfect finishing touch.  All supplies are from the Cuppa Card Kit.
This simple holiday card design is perfect for whipping up a set of Christmas cards in a jiffy.

The pattern paper edge was softened a bit by stamping the small flower stem image repeatedly along the seam.
The stem and sentiment are from the Athens add on stamp set.  Athens Add On
A few leftover scrap pieces was all I needed to start this card.
A few nice touches like stamped flowers, a veneer star and a glittery badge was all I needed to finish it off.  AthensVienna and Dublin add-ons
A few haphazardly placed pattern paper edges give this cards corner a super fun look.

Studio Calico August Kit Release

Hi there! This months Studio Calico kits are great! And so... I've got a lot to share with you. Today I bring you my cards from the Marks & Co kit release.  I've put to use the Marks & Co card kit and the Fitzgerald add on

So let me get started...
I wanted the focus of this card to be the banner.
I used a few shades of aqua markers to color in the different phrases and then added a few pops of yellow around the banner.
A few paint splatters here and there make for a fun card!
I finished the card off with a pattern paper strip and sentiment strips attached at an angle.
This sweet little card is made even sweeter with an adorable stack of ice cream scoops.
As well as some pretty pattern paper and enamel dots to top everything off.
To add a more realistic look to this jar I stamped it onto vellum cardstock.
Layered a few pretty stamped butterflies inside as well as a wood veneer one too. Finished the card with a whimsically place sentiment.

There you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Studio Calico July Kit Release

Hi there! This months Studio Calico kits are great! And so... I've got a lot to share with you. Today I bring you my cards from the July Valley High kit release.  I've put to use the Valley High card kit, Corey add on and the the Winona add on

So let me get started...
Here's a fun one layer card created using the talking bubble image from the Valley High card kit stamp set.
.
Then a few pink buttons finish the card off perfectly.  Supplies from the card kit only.
This one began with a simple sheet of pattern paper which I covered with hand stamped blooms.  This allowed me to create a unique pattern paper of my own design.
I then finished the card off with a fun embellished sentiment strip. All supplies from the Valley High card kit.
I'm quite happy with the way this little bird turned out and all I did was stamp him onto pattern paper and cut him out.  Easy peasy!
A little sprinkling of sequins finished the card off perfectly.
Here's a fun and unique way to put those many labels to use.  Just piece them together like a puzzle and attach.
For this project I used a dimensional adhesive to assemble together.

There you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
