Syberia - "Drawing A Future"

I'll let you draw your own comparisons about "Drawing A Future" from instrumental post rock/metal outfit Syberia. It's quality musicianship and absolutely worth checking out if you're into progressive rock/metal and post rock/metal.

The Eye Unclouded - "Tongues Like Mazes"

Is it black metal? I suppose so. It's definitely "progressive metal", or whatever the kids are calling it, too. There's a good amount of that ambient/drone metal flavor, to be certain. There's no vocals, but really you don't need or even want any on this one. Progressive ambient post instrumental black technical metal? Ubetcha.

Kymeris - "x"

Find me more than a few bits of instrumental black metal that are enjoyable to listen to. You can't, because there's not a lot of instrumental black metal that you can make it through and actually confess to enjoying. Kymeris is a mysterious black metal project that's based in Poland. It's instrumental, it's black metal, and it's downright enjoyable. I actually wish the tracks were longer and there were more of them; they end too abruptly, besides just not being long enough to begin with - almost like they are clips as opposed to full songs. Unfortunate logo and cover art, too. But, this is a solid listen.

Hard Bass Dealers Podcast 048 Liveset by NIVEAU ZERO

Photobucket

Heres a dope new podcast from Hard Bass Dealers and Niveau Zero, a recent addition to the roster of the most awesome Ad Noiseam record label. Downtempo breaks and thumpin' bass (in various forms) are expertly offered in a one hour and a half live set/podcast packaging. Also features an interview (in French) with Niveau Zero, backed by some choice metal and a lil Chris Clark. Some might know Niveau from his recent remix of Bong-ra. Don't miss out!

Odessa - S/T

Raw recordings of really incredible sort of progressive black metal right here, folks. It almost sounds like you're right there in the dusty, spider web infested, only candlelit basement while they are playing. Except not quite as loud.. Unless you turn your home system up real loud after you download this. Which you should. One of the cooler and more original logos in black metal lately, as well.

The Fierce and The Dead - If It Carries On Like This We Are Moving To Morecambe

Hard to describe... Weird ambient kind of proggy instrumental guitar music. Okay, I guess it wasn't that hard to describe.

“The Landsquid has evolved from a dormant, ocean-dwelling beast to a terrestrial dance-machine.” – the kraken

Really awesome genre defying epic instrumental stuff.

Giant Claw - Erasers Fantasy

Really really really good instrumental neo-classical prog fantasy. Soundtrack to a imaginary cartoon land.

Incredible album, I highly recommend it.
