z999 - Distorted By Design

The cover art for z999's "Distorted By Design", when considered, is a very straight forward message as to what you can expect to find inside. Classical music taken to broken and distorted places. The intro itself lets you know whats up immediately. Distorted, clipped rhythmics laced with pretty strings. Of the four songs provided in "Distorted By Design", there is rarely a moment where you do not hear stirring strings or complacent piano. As far as the breaks, to some the most important part of Breakcore music, they contain superb edits and thoughtful arrangement. The final song, "Monkeyballs", makes me wonder if this is what it would sound like if Ove-naxx did classicore. A fine release. The only problem i find is that it is too short. I want more!

Very Honored to be included on this release. Talent from around the world compiled by Paradeigma, owner of Cuntroll Records and a breakcore maestro himself. Every Cuntroll compilation I have listened to and been a part has always contained top notch break music. Cuntrollogy does not dissapoint. My personal favorite so far is Sonic Deadhorse's (Taiwan) "5 Step to Exhaust Myself". Its like breakcore mixed with shredding almost Shoegaze guitars, organic bass and drums. Reverb and delay laden guitars over glitched melodic sound design. Sonic Deadhorse is followed by a Gypsycore number from I8bit jammed full of metal riffs, double kicks, amen licks, and accordion shtick. Awesome.

Clonepa - ANTISATELLITE EP

Classic strings, organ bling, and whales singing. Thats what you get on this final day of 2012. Pure "classicore", neo-classical breakcore, or just damn fine music. Fine blending of digital textures and "organic" instrumentalism. Throw in a dash of amens going crazy at 200+ bpm. WSicko - Midnight Notes

Beautifully constructed Classicore by WSicko. The first track starts everything off with a slightly melancholic piano piece, quickly supported by strings and melting hi hats. The pieces contained within morph between neo classical flourishes and well crafted breakcore. The sounds and samples all blend together quite nicely. The end result is 5 tracks that fit in on the dance floor just as well as they do in a bedroom.
