Dream Valley DT #148 All About Love

Image
Hello! It's Dream Valley time again! Our Challenge this fortnight is All About Love so let's see lots of gorgeous, romantic Love creations - and remember, it doesn't have to be a card! We have a terrific sponsor: Pink Gem Designs I used an older image, this is Little Gem with Rose. She was the owner's dog - I hope it's ok to use the image, which is no longer available, but there are lots of equally adorable dog stamps on the website. I coloured her with Promarkers (Cool Greys for her fur and Forest Green, Green, Fuchsia, Pink Carnation and Blossom for the grass and the rose). I used a Spellbinders Hearts Circle die to make the mat. I used a new dies from Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions: Heart of Hearts and backed it with purple cardstock. The rosebuds are also new, they are by Apple Blossom and came free with Die-Cutting Essentials Magazine no 19 . I sponged Distress Ink over the rosebuds while they were still in the die. Dream Valley Challenge 25

Just a very quick post, my Internet access is very spotty at the moment! We have a new challenge at Dream Valley which is 'Valentines.' The sponsor this fortnight is the wonderful Joanna Sheen and the lucky winner will have £10.00 to spend on her online shop! My card is made with a sweet Whimsy Stamps Valentine girl, which I was lucky enough to win on one of their blog hops! The papers are Nitwits, they're nice and bright! I used Speccies (which Joanna Sheen has in the online shop!) but forgot to make a note of which ones - sorry! Flowers are from Wild Orchid except the rosebuds, which are from One Stop Card Crafts. The heart pin is so old I can't remember where I bought it! Ribbon is from stash, threaded through card cut with a Nesties tag die. Have a look at the wonderful work of my talented teamies, and don't forget, it doesn't have to be a card for any DV challenge - craft however your mojo inspires you! Thanks for looking and stay warm! love Mags B x

Valentine cards!

This is the Valentine card I've made for my hubby. He does not do cute. Not at all. He also doesn't do flower embellishments, I learned on Sunday. Grrr! Actually, he doesn't really do Valentine's Day, but I'm not going to let that stop me from making him one! I had no idea what to do, and then I saw that Crafts and Me Challenge want RED this week, and Crafty Cardmakers want Hearts. I put the two together and came up with this very red card! The stamp is ages old, and came free with a mag. The flowery image is the actual stamp, the solid image is the back, which is made of foam. I inked with embossing ink and embossed with glitter red powder. The red borders of the squares are holographic red card. Neither the glitter nor the shine of the holographic paper has come out in the photo, but irl it is sparkly! The heart gem was a RAK from my daughter, and the lovely heart paper is a download from Pink Petticoat I love those cute little hearts! Now, this next card is on...
