Dream Valley DT Challenge #58 Sports - and a DT Call!

Image
Hi, again! If you're looking for my DT card for The Squirrel and the Fox please scroll down to the post below. Ta. I'm a bit late today, it's been a busy Sunday again, but I'm here at last with a card for Dream Valley . Our theme is Sports - nice and easy, and perhaps a chance to get your Father's Day cards sorted! Our fab Sponsor is Di's Digi Stamps which used to be called 'Di's Digi Downloads' and one lucky winner will receive a $10 voucher to spend in the store! Go over there and have a look, there are some adorable, cute images there! I admit I didn't use a Sponsor image this time. I had this dynamic Karate Kick Girl from Redonkadoodles - formerly known as Redonkulous. I coloured her with Promarkers: I, like so many, am indebted to Kimberly Brown who posts wonderful videos on Youtube, and I used her recommended colour combo for the hair, I really like it! Isn't she fab? I used a Spellbinders Wonky Rectangle to cut her out. ...

A Christmas card!

Image
Evening, all! It's freezing tonight, proper brass monkey weather! Brrrrr! With snow on the ground I decided to make a Christmas card! One of the card magazines had a free gift last year of two 'Holly Hobbie' stamps - I used to love Holly Hobbie when I were a lass!  I coloured her with Speccies (I'm sorry, I forgot to make a list *slapped wrist!*) and Glossy Accented her boots, and used a Spellbinders Labels 4 to cut her out. I distressed with Broken China while she was still in the die. The mat is made by drawing round the outside of the die and cutting out. The sentiment is from the same Holly Hobbie set. The poinsettia is from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves cut with a Marianne die (I don't know which set it's from, sorry!) The ribbon is from stash. The paper is 'Rum'n'Raisin' by PaperArtsy which I have had for over 2 years! It's so pretty! I added Platinum stickles to the brown flourish. I used a matching paper withou...

Anyone for Anya meets Sketch'n'Stash

Image
A card at last! On Sunday I surveyed my calender with glee because of all the lovely blanks spaces that meant I could craft! Of course it didn't end up like that, though there were nice reasons (friends coming round for supper) as well as irritating ones (ye olde manne not telling me he had no more clean shirts until he was wearing the last one - the rest were all heaped on the floor because he forgot to bring them downstairs. Bless.) When I finally settled down yesterday in my craft hovel (it badly needs a tidy. Again) it was such a satisfying feeling! Anyone for Anya? challenge is asking for a thanksgiving or thank you card or a December calendar page. I owe a dear friend a thank you card, so it was a very timely reminder! The image is one of The Greeting Farm's Hope and Grace stamps, I've had this set for quite a while now but I think she came from Quixotic Paperie . I coloured her with Promarkers. The sketch was lovely to work with - it's the current Sketch and Sta...

Rosie Posy in the Pink!

Image
Bracy yourselves, chaps, this is very pink! I have been experimenting with my new Spectrum Noir pens. It's rather peculiar, after using Promarkers for so long, to be learning once again which colours go together. The colours are more vivid than Promarkers, and the tops on the ends are identical, so I keep pulling off the wrong one and getting the chisel nib instead of the fine nib. I've been playing with colour, which is always an education. Anyway, to the card! The image is of course LotV Rosie Posy, which I haven't inked up in months! I used a Nestie Labels die, then drew round the outside on pink card and cut out to make the narrow border. Papers are Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose. I used my NEW Magnolia Doohickey Tilda Lace Die - I've wanted it for ages and finally indulged! The flowers are the Retro punch, the leaves are a Woodware one which I got last year - it's meant to be a spray of blossom, I think, but it's useful for leaves when you ha...
