My Time to Craft! #463 Sketchy Time!

Image
Hello, my lovelies! We have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft!  which is this fab sketch: I have made yet another Christmas card, because I found some darling metal glittered snowflakes in my stash and thought they'd suit the sketch very well. I used some gorgeous Tonic Speciality paper which I can't find on their website, so it may be unavailable. The striped paper is from my stash.  I layered everything with silver mirri cards for some festive bling. The glittered blue and white bakers' twine is from my stash.  This sketch is so versatile, and my teamies have pulled out all the stops to showcase it! Go over to the blog and take a look!  I hope you're all keeping well and looking forward to a great weekend!  Thanks for looking and take care!  love Mags B

My Time to Craft #383 Sketchy Time!

Good morning, my lovelies! It's been a busy day so far, with a hospital appointment for my latest post-cancer checkup, and the good news is I'm still in remission! Now I can shake off the worry that always lingers before any hospital appointment and tell you all about the new challenge at My Time to Craft which is this fabulous sketch: While sorting my craft hovel yet again I came across some pre-coloured images from Lili of the Valley - sadly these don't seem to be available, but do check out their newer images, they are lovely! The papers are digis from Pink Petticoat - now back in business as The Lovely Studio. For the vertical lines I used ribbon from my stash, and I cut out the image and mat with dotted rectangle dies. The glittery snowflake was in my Christmas file, I often make several die-cuts at a time, file them carefully, then forget to use them!! Anyway, do go and see my teamies' inspiration on the blog, and give the sketch a go! Thanks for ...

CRAFT Challenge #331 Sketch

We had good news yesterday: my daughter has been over from Ireland to have her regular blood tests to check that she's still in remission from the cancer she had in 2013. Not only is she still clear, she now only needs to be checked every 6 months instead of every 4 months! Yay!!! Now it's Thursday again, and October! I swear there are fewer hours in the day than when I were a kiddiewink, it's the only explanation for why time seems to evaporate! But Thursdays are good, because Thursday means another fab Challenge at C.R.A.F.T Challenge and this time we have a terrific sketch designed for you by Jo . (Check out her blog for a recipe for Dutch Apple Pie! Yum!) Our fab sponsors: Great Impressions and for the Top Three: Sunsational Stamps And now my card - another Christmas card! (I'm so impressed with myself for getting on with them!) I used Willow With Christmas Candle from the sadly-missed Whiff of Joy. I used a Spellbinders die to cut the blue m...

My Time to Craft DT Challenge #287 Getting Sketchy

Image
Good morning from a grey, wet S-E Hertfordshire! We had 3 glorious sunny days, then the weekend comes along and..... rain! So it's a good time to stay indoors and craft - in fact you could say it's My Time to Craft! (Oh dear, that was such a laboured joke!) This week we have a first-rate sketch, designed by Jo Isn't it a corker?! I apologise for the wonky picture! The image is an older stamp by Elisabeth Bell which seems to be out of print - though there are plenty of equally sweet digis on her site! I used Copics: I'm still learning the colours, which is why the pink is a wee bit bright. There is glitter on one flower in her hat and Glossy Accents on her watering can. The sun is from Hello Sunshine by Lawn Fawn I stamped in Ranger Dye Inks first with yellow then I inked just the edges with orange, and used Clear Wink of Stella to give some glitter. The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley and is embossed with Wow! Gold Pearl Embossing Powder . The gems a...
