My Time to Craft Christmas #11 Santa

Image
Hello, my dearios! Well, it's flaming June and here in S-E Herts we have had grey skies and drizzle all day.  At least it's not cold!  I can't think of a witty segue from that, so I'll just say: we have a new Challenge at  My Time to Craft Christmas ! Our theme this time is Santa. I have been a wee bit obsessed with Bridge cards recently! I've been following this video from Sasha Reade, I find it easier to follow than Splitcoast Stampers' tutorial.  I used Christmas paper from my stash and MFT's cute 'Jingle All the Way' stamp set. Sadly, it's no longer available on their website. The dancing Santa and the Christmas tree came from the set, I coloured them and fussy-cut, then added a silver star gem to the tree.  The sentiment is also from the stamp set. (I wanted to use 'Rockin' around the Christmas Tree' but the sentiment I have didn't fit!) Rock on over to the Challenge Blog and see what my lovely teamies have made, and jo...

My Time to Craft DT Challenge #262 Santa

Good morning! I hope you all have a happy weekend planned with lots of relaxing crafty time! Once I have tidied my Craft Hovel (yet again!) and changed all the bedsheets I am hoping to do some colouring, because.... I have my very first Copics!!! They are Copic Ciaos, and I am hoping to ask for more for Christmas! :D My card today, however, was coloured using Spectrum Noirs. (I'm going to have to do a lot more colouring now, otherwise my Promarkers and Speccies will feel neglected lol!) At My Time to Craft our theme this week is Santa I went for an old-fashioned look. I must apologise for the picture quality, it was quite a gloomy day when I snapped it. The image is one of my favourite Santas: Antique Santa by Penny Black. He is one of their Slapstick Cling stamps. I added gold stickles to the stars on his coat and the one on his staff, and Diamond stickles to his fur trim. The papers are Papermania At Christmas Time by docrafts, sadly it seems to be unavailable now. ...

PBSC and Sweet Sketch Wednesday

This week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge is 'Monochromatic Christmas. Isn't this Traditional Santa gorgeous?! It was love at first sight when I saw him on The Glitter Pot website. I thought I'd give him a vintage look for his first outing, and I'm really chuffed that he came out so well! IRL the browns are a bit darker, he's not really this faded! And the stickles dotted on his coat and on the star on his walking stick aren't showing too well! I also stickled the snowflake. I used a nice, straightforward sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday which gives the image the main emphasis. Ok, time to see to tea. I can recommend Salmon smeared with pest and baked in foil, it really is yummy! Stay warm this evening!
