Dream Valley Challenge #124 Valentine's Day

Image
Hi, guys! It's Dream Valley Challenges time! This fortnight our theme is Valentine's Day - I can't get my head round the fact that it's already February and Valentine's Day is only 2 weeks away! We have 2 lovely sponsors: Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps Angie's Cards and Digis I used the cute Little Lila holding flowers by Angie's Cards and Digis. The papers are from an anciet paper pad (copyright 2012) by Raspberry Road called 'Love Lives Here' which was a magazine freebie. The baker's twine, sunflower charm, flower and button are all from stash. The sentiment is stamped in Mama Elephant Apple pigment ink and the stamp is from the Label Love set by Altenew. My Dream Valley teamies, as usual, have made some fabulous examples to inspire you, do go and see! Thanks for looking! love Mags B x

Dream ValleyDT Challenge 62 Summer Days

Image
Good afternoon, my lovelies! (Please scroll down for my DT post for The Squirrel and the Fox ) It's Dream Valley Challenges time again! Our new Challenge is Summer Days - now, how many of you are humming the song from 'Grease'? Our sponsor is the wonderful and witty Bugaboo Stamps - I love Bugaboo! I have had Sunbonnet Sue Strawberry Basket and Sunbonnet Sue Strawberry Jam in my files for a while now, and this challenge was ideal to print them out! In fact, there's a whole section on the Bugaboo site devoted to 'Sunbonnets' and they aren't all cute little girls! I used a Spellbinders Wonky Rectangle die to cut out the image, and drew around the edge of the die on my green card and cut it out to make the narrow mat. The papers are by Raspberry Road and came free with a magazine. (Honestly, I have so many of these freebie pads, I really must get a mo...

Icing the Cake

I coloured her with Promarkers and stickled the flower in her chef's hat. I used a Nestie that was only just big enough, so I cut round the dog's tail so that I could ease the die underneath while I cut it out. (Does that make sense?) The sketch is from last week's Sketch Saturday, but I couldn't upload it in time. :( The papers are by Raspberry Road, they came free with a magazine - they are gorgeous! The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used a Woodware punch for the leaves. The flourish is a Magnolia die, with Hobbycraft pearls on the ends. The gingham ribbon also came from Hobbycraft. The sentiment is also LotV - since there wasn't really enough room to mat it, I went round the edge with a Burgundy Promarker. I love that you can do th...
