EEK! I'm so sorry I'm late with my post, I had my Church's Baby Club this morning, then the weekly shop, then an electrician came to mend a couple of lights, and then I was packing my rucksack for the Anti-Brexit March tomorrow! (Which is going to be HUGE and I'm also meeting a cardmaking Facebook friend In Real Life for the first time, and I'm so excited!) Sorry, I normally keep my political views on Facebook, but I am so looking forward to tomorrow! *Breathe* I'm calmer now, and I can tell you about the new Challenge at My Time to Craft which is Mother's Day or for a Female. I lost my Mum 13 years ago, so I'm grateful for the alternative to Mother's Day. In fact, I made a card for a friend's birthday last week. It's a nice and easy one - Mothers' Day or Female. (I never know whhere to put the apostrophe on 'Mothers' Day!) This pretty image is Happy Flowers from Sweet'n'Sassy. I used a Spellbinders Decorative Labels 4 die for the mat. The papers are from stash and the silver ribbon was an RAK from my daughter. I used Alyssa Relaxing - isn't that the perfect image for Mother's Day? Champers and bubble bath! I apologise for the wonky photo! I used Cotton Candy Stickles on the bubbles and Glossy Accents on the bottle and glass. The papers, ribbon and gems are from stash. The sentiment heart is a Paper Smooches Sweet Hearts stamp, I used Apple Mama Elephant Pigment Ink, then covered it with Clear Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents. This time of year can be so tough for those of us who have lost their Mums, so this week at CRAFT Challenge our theme is Mother's Day OR Female Our lovely sponsors: Lacy Sunshine Crafty Ribbons My card uses the adorable Lil Fidget by Lacy Sunshine, I saw the image last year and had to buy it at once! Soooo cute!! I coloured her in Copics and added purple stickles to the flowers in her hair and Wink of Stella Clear over her wings. The papers are First Edition's Floral Pavilion , the square piece is actually canvas and has a wonderful texture. The flourish is made with Cheery Lynn's Mini Fanciful Flourish die . The flowers are by Prima, and the heart brads are from stash. The chipboard sentiment heart was a magazine freebie a long time ago! Good morning! I hope you're all enjoying your weekend! It's The Squirrel and the Fox Challenge time once again! Our theme this time is Mother's Day Our sponsor is Doodle Pantry do have a look at their lovely digis! There are even some freebies so you can 'try before you buy'! On my card I used Rose Bloom . I used Spectrum Noir pens to colour two of the images, and cut out the flower from one and decoupaged it on top of the other, using foam pads. Then the whole image was added to a mat of white card and green card die-cut with a Spellbinders Stately Circles die, and also added with foam pads. The background paper is from the 'Floral Pavilion' stack by First Edition, the dots and roses are all glossy - very pretty! The ribbon is from stash. The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley. The current issue of 'Cardmaking and Papercraft' Magazine has some lovely Faye Whitaker chipboards as the free offer. I rustled up this card using Nitwits papers (Toy store Too). The flowers are made with a Woodware daisy punch, stickled, and with a blob of liquid pearls in the middle. MS supplied the doily lace punch, and Hobbycraft supplied the ribbon.
