My Time to Craft Christmas! #45 Kraft/Brown and White for Christmas.

Image
Hi there! Happy Friday! Check out our new Challenge at  My Time to Kraft Khristmas  where the theme is to use Kraft/Brown and White.  I love this combo! My first card is stencilled onto Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. I used Altenew's  Fancy Star Builder Mask and Simple Coloring Stencil  and white pigment ink for the first layer, then added sparkling clear embossing powder over the second layer.  White pigment ink stays wet for a long time, so it's easy to emboss with it. The sentiment is from an old Paper Smooches sentiment stamp set.  I added stich-lines with a white gel pen for the 'rays' and some clear sparkle Nuvo Drops. My second card has a stamped background: I used the  Deck the Halls Turnabout Stamp  by Concord & 9th and added the sparkle embossing powder to the final layer.  The  Label Die  is by Creative Craft Products and the sentiment is a very old one by Lil' Inkers. Check out all the lovely variations on...

My Time to Kraft Khristmas #14 Have a Krafty Christmas.

Evening, all! We have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft Christmas and you have probably realised, from the atrocious puns in my heading, that we'd like to see kraft on your kreation!  I absolutely love white heat embossing on kraft cardstock, so that's what I did. I used a lovely stamp by Penny Black of snow-covered trees. Unfortunately I put the stamp away in a safe place and now can't find it. Sigh. I need to tidy again, don't I?  After embossing the image I added splatter in white watercolour and perfect pearls.  Go and see what my teamies have done with kraft kard and be inspired!  Thanks for looking and stay safe.  love Mags 'I'm not giving up my mask!' Hi, guys! Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement on my news that I'm still clear of cancer! I really appreciate it. XXX Now we have a new Challenge for you at My Time to Craft which is to use kraft on your creation. I love the look of white embossing on kraft, and dug out my coloured pencils, too. The image is from the Simon Says Stamp set Mandy's Flowers as is the white-embossed sentiment. I added a few Nuvo Drops as embellishments. My teamies have been very creative as usual, do check them out for some inspiration! Thanks for looking! love Mags B x

Dream Valley Challenges #198 Let's Get Krafty!

Good morning, all! We have a new Challenge for you at Dream Valley - Let's Get Krafty! I do like a good (bad!) pun! Our sponsor is the fabulous Polkadoodles . I have used the sweet Winnie with Balloon she is just so cute! I made a circle card, just for a change! The background isfrom My Mind's Eye kraft Funday collection (out of print now) and I used a Spellbinders' Grand Circles die to cut it out. The scalloped mat is cut with another Spellbinders die from Neenah Desert Storm cardstock, and I inked the edges withVintage Photo Distress Ink. Winnie's balloon is covered with Glossy Accents, and I added some sequins from stash. I made sure that the card would fit into a large square envelope BEFORE die-cutting: the last time I made a circle card it was too big to fit any of my ready-made envelopes!! My teamies have produced some gorgeous work, go and see, then join in! Thanks for looking, and have a good week! love Mags B x

My Time to Craft #353 Krafty

Hi, guys! Our new challenge at My Time to Craft is Krafty - use kreft on your creation. I love the look of white embossing on kraft, though alcohol markers don't mix well at all with embossed lines, so I dug out my Prismacolor pencils. This is Hero Art's Tall Flowers stamp, sadly unavailable. The die-cut banner and stamp are Streamers by Paper Smooches. I rounded the corners with a corner chomper. Have a look at the inspiration from my teamies, they are gorgeous! I hope your weekend is going well. Thanks for looking! love Mags B x

Dream Valley DT Challenge #104 Let's Get Krafty!

Hi, guys! I hope you all had a good weekend! Our new Challenge at Dream Valley is Let's Get Krafty - we would like to see you use kraft card or paper on your creation. Our sponsor this fortnight is Imagine That and I used the darling Ladybug Friends to make a get well card. I used Kraft to mat my image and papers. The papers come from a freebie pack - I keep trying to use freebie papers since I have so many, but I've scarcely made a dent in my collection!!! I used a Spellbinders Lacey Square die for the image mat, and a Martha Stewart punch to edge the horizontal paper - then covered most of it up with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and leaves cut with a Spellbinders foliage die. The sentiment came with the image. Do buzz across to see my teamies' fab creations and then join in! Remember, though, that now we ask for no more than 9 extra Challenges besides ours!! Thanks for looking, and have a good week! love Mags B x

Good morning! sorry about the awful pun in this post's title, I just couldn't resist! Because our new Challenge at My Time to Craft is to Get Krafty! . That is, to use kraft paper or card on your creation. I used Neenah Desert Storm cardstock for my cardbas, which is cut to the American A2 size: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. The papers are by First Edition from the New Bloom pad. I covered the join with ribbon from stash. The strip of purple card at the bottom has been punched with the E K Success Postage Edge Stamp. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments clear stamp set, I vandyked one end and mounted it on foam pads. The three flowers are from a Citronella pack by K & Co which I have had for ages! Finally I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper, stuck down the topper, and drew two lines in the top left corner. Yes, this is another card inspired by Kristina Werner go and see the various ways that my teamies have used kraft! of course, 'kraf...

My Time To Craft DT #254 use Kraft.

Good morning! I hope you're all having a relaxing Saturday with a minimum of housework and a maximum of crafty time! There's a new Challenge at My Time To Kraft which is Use Craft . (Did you see what I did there?!) As long as we can see Kraft on your artwork, it's all good. Colour on it, emboss it, mat and layer it - however your fancy takes you! Now, I have to apologise for this dull picture, irl the colours are much prettier! I made my card base from Neenah Desert Storm Kraft card, and it's cut to the American A2 size (4.25" x 5.50") and i rounded the bottom corners with the faithful Corner Chomper by We R Memory Keepers. I stamped the background with Versamark, using a background stamp by Hero Arts/Basic Grey called Circles and Diamonds . I went over the circles with a teal gel pen from Sakura. It's shinier than shown on the photo! The chipboard butterfly is from Maya Road, I've had it for ages! I covered it with paper from the Basic Grey ...

My Time To Craft GDT

Good morning! It's the weekend, huzza! I hope you're all having a bit of crafty 'me-time'. It's time for another challenge at My Time To Craft and this week the theme is 'Kraft.' Use it for matting, embellies, your image - anything! I had never coloured on Kraft before and I was a bit anxious how my inks would look on the darker background, but 'Nothing ventured, nothing gained' and with the help of This video by Kimberly Brown I had a go. The Kraft is from a Papermania stack, it has a very pretty mottled appearance and a distressed grid pattern in white. The image is by Francoise Read for Woodware and is from the 'Flower Doodles' clear stamp set, I stamped in Versamark and embossed with opaque white powder and coloured with Spectrum Noirs. The sentiment is LotV, matted onto the Kraft and glittered round the edges. The corner flourish is a Memory Box die that I got at Ally Pally and I glittered it, too. Papers are 'Bonnets a...
