Dream Valley DT #134 Summer Colours

Image
Hi, guys, Happy Solstice! At Dream Valley this fortnight we would like to see Summer Colours. Our sponsor is Di's Digi Downloads I used some very bright papers from an old paper pad, 'Paisley Road' by Prima, the bright orange, pink and turquoise remind me of the colours that were fashionable in the 1970s! The lovely image is The Butterfly Hat by Julia Spiri. I used Promarkers to colour her. The mat is cut using Spellbinders Floral Oval die. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Say It In Style and I matted it onto a scrap of striped paper. The butterfly and the gem swirl are from stash. Go and be inspired by my teamies' gorgeous work! Thanks for looking! love Mags B x

Dream Valley DT Challenge #131 Ribbon, Lace and Pearls.

Good morning! It's Dream Valley Challenges time again and our theme this fortnight is Ribbon, Lace and Pearls Our terrific sponsors are: Dies to Die For who have a spiffing new design for their website! and Crafty Ribbons who as always have the most gorgeous ribbons and lace for sale! I have used a sweet image by Julia Spiri for my card, this is Victorian Hat and she is adorable! I layered several papers using a Go Create Frilly Die. The butterflies are cut with a Spellbinders die. The ribbon, lace and pearls are from stash. I am scheduling this post, and I hope I get it right, as on Monday I have a 'line' attached to my chest, which is to feed in the chemotherapy for my bowel cancer. The actual treatment starts on Wednesday, and I'm so glad that the wait is over! I want to get on with it, since the sooner it starts, the sooner it'll finish! Thank you all for your kind thoughts both here and on Facebook, they are really appreciated! I hope you ...

Hi, guys! Happy Saturday! And if you have to work today, I hope everything goes really well for you! We have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft! and it's a really good one: Check It Out! In other words, use checked, gingham or plaid paper on your creation. I used a gorgeous image from Julia Spiri who is a new designer to me, I came across her via recommendations on Facebook and I love her sweet images! This is 'Little May'. I love her long eyelashes! The papers were all from an old booklet, free with a magazine. Just like last year, my New Year's Resolution is to use up old papers before I buy any new ones! Last year I managed 2 months of my stash diet - I wonder how well I'll do this year?! Anyway, back to the card. There are two checked papers: the yellow one is a Prince of Wales check, and the green strip is a plaid. I used Memory Box dies Chloe Stem and Chandra Stem and some Prima flowers with central brads on one side of the image, and a b...
