CRAFT Challenge DT #367 Inspired by a Film

Image
Good morning! I hope you are all having a good week! It's time for another CRAFT Challenge and this time we'd like you to be Inspired by a Film We have two excellent sponsors: Doctor Digi's House of Stamps and Bugaboo Stamps I used The Chosen One from Bugaboo's Har Repotter collection - I love these images! So useful, too, since most of my kids' friends are fans! The striped paper comes from an old Christmas collection by Papermania, it echoes the stripes on The Chosen One's tie. The yellow and white ribbon actually has a chevron pattern, so I put two lengths together to give a 'lightning strike' effect. The stars are cut with dies by Simon Says Stamp and W Plus 9, using patterned holographic card for added bling, and the sentiment is by Lawn Fawn. I added Glossy Accents to his specs and gold and red stickles to the magic sparkles coming from the wand. The film that inspired this card is, of course, Harry Potter and the Philosoph...

Good morning, all! It's time for another Challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox and this fortnight's theme is Celebrate the Occasion Our lovely sponsor this time is the wonderful Bugaboo and one lucky winner will be able to choose 7 digis from their store. I love Bugaboo! This image is from their Har Repotter set and is of The Wise One. He has changed his usual dark robes for a cricket umpire's white coat and a robe in the colours of the Marylebone Cricket Club, which runs Lord's Cricket Ground, 'The Home of Cricket.' Obsessed? Moi? The bp is a snippet from the green Papermania Capsule Collection. The red card is also Papermania and is pearlised. I used Tim Holtz grungeboard letters coloured with Speccies and the sentiments are computer-generated. The cricket ball and his glasses are Glossy Accented. Do run over and see my teamies' great creations! Then make a card for a celebration and join in! There is also a DT C...

When he finally returned from his hols I had to sign in again, which is always embarrassing because I can never remember my password! Oops! My daughter asked me to make a card for a friend who is a Raving Harry Potter maniac. Yes, she dressed up in a costume (this is called 'cosplay' I'm told) and queued for hours to get the last book at midnight on the day it was published. She adores Draco, so when I found a set of images at Bugaboo that resemble some of the characters I had to use one! Thanks to Blogger being on Spring Break, I couldn't find a new sketch so I adapted an old Sketch Saturday sketch. Papers are: Funky Hand (striped) K and Co (middle) and Bo Bunny 'Blast Off!' for the triangles. The sentiment is Lili of the Valley stamped in silver Versacolor, and the stars are holographic card, and I used a Woodware punch. All the papers have been distressed in Bundled Sage and then stickled. ...
