Good morning! It's Dream Valley Challenges time again and our theme this fortnight is Ribbon, Lace and Pearls Our terrific sponsors are: Dies to Die For who have a spiffing new design for their website! and Crafty Ribbons who as always have the most gorgeous ribbons and lace for sale! I have used a sweet image by Julia Spiri for my card, this is Victorian Hat and she is adorable! I layered several papers using a Go Create Frilly Die. The butterflies are cut with a Spellbinders die. The ribbon, lace and pearls are from stash. I am scheduling this post, and I hope I get it right, as on Monday I have a 'line' attached to my chest, which is to feed in the chemotherapy for my bowel cancer. The actual treatment starts on Wednesday, and I'm so glad that the wait is over! I want to get on with it, since the sooner it starts, the sooner it'll finish! Hi, guys! Our Challenge this week is to make a card for a lady - either for Mother's Day or for any other female! Our sponsors are Little Miss Muffet Stamps I made an easel card, using lots of pink! The adorable image is Kiki Bloom . I cut my bases using a large Go Kreate Frilly Frames #2. I used Worn Lipstick Distress ink to colour it, then used an Interference Red perfect Pearls Mist to give it some shine. The papers are from the Bonnets and Bowties paper pad by LOTV, and the sentiment is also by LOTV. The white swirls and the dragonfly are cut with Magnolia Doohickey dies. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. For the base I used the same papers and also a piece of ribbon and some lace from stash. Good morning! The new challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox and the theme is to use 'something spooled.' That can be lace ribbon, twine, string - anything that comes of a spool. Our sponsor is the fab Robyn's Fetish and a lucky winner will be able to choose 5 digis from the shop! The DT could also use some images, I chose English tea cup isn't it pretty? I used a Go Kreate large Frilly Die to make the shaped card blank. The background paper is by Bearly Mine, I love the roses! I used a Spellbinders Stately Circles die for the mat. The image is coloured with Speccies, and the roses have been Glossy Accented. The flowers are by wild Orchid Crafts, and the fern is made with a Memory Box die (it was a pain to cut, even in Excalibur, my gorgeous Grand Calibur!) I used two spooled items - a length of lace, and some organza ribbon. Do go and see what my teamies have made, they will inspire you to dig out your spools and have a go! Huge apologies for being so late with my post, it's been another manic day but the sitting room is clean and almost all the presents are wrapped! I'll have to makes swome more tags, though, 27 wasn't enough because everyone else wanted to use them, too!! Here's my card, made with a Bugaboo image of the gorgeous DeDe: I'm sorry about the naff photo! I made the easel card base with a Go Kreate Frilly die, and the star die is by X-cut. The snowflakes are cut with Spellbinders Create-a -Flake 4 dies. The papers are from a freebie pack from a magazine. I Glossy Accented the baubles that DeDe is holding and stickled the red tinsel hanging round her neck. I cut her out and added her with foam pads. Unfortunately I chucked out the list of Promarkers I used :( ...
