The Squirrel and the Fox #31 Anything Goes

Image
Hello, my lovelies! It's time for another Challenge from The Squirrel and the Fox and this time our theme is 'Anything Goes'!  Our wonderful regular sponsor is the fabulous Bugaboo Stamps .  If you haven't yet come across them, do go over and browse their website, their images are great and the sentiments are often very funny indeed! See what I mean? This is Ruby don't you love her hair? I coloured her in Promarkers (list below). Ruby lurves chocolate! So does the friend I made the card for! My friend and I were at a very, very long meeting last Monday night and I wanted to cheer her up. Obviously I had to go with purple for Cadbury's Dairy Milk (is it me, or has Cadbury's chocolate changed in flavour since Kraft took over? It seems rather greasy to me!) I added some silver mirri card as an extra mat for the background paper. The paper is Funky Hand Rainbow Polka Dots in lilac. I used a corner rounder punch on the image and sentiment. Rainbow Wedding.

Hi, guys! Happy Jubilee holiday to those who have celebrated! I was asked to make a card for a lady whose bridesmaids are going to be wearing the colours of the rainbow! That's one colour each, by the way, not all seven at once! This is a big card (8" x 8") because the LotV die-cut is large. I used a Martha Stewart punch around the die-cut to give the lacy border. The ribbon is recycled one of my colleagues at the Toddler Club was going to chuck it because it's not very long - so I snapped it up instead! It makes me feel so virtuous when I recycle! The sentiment is also LotV, the butterflies and flowers coloured with Sakura Stardust pens, and matted onto a piece cut with a Spellbinders Floral Doily die. All the paper lace has been distressed with Spun Sugar DI. The pink roses and hearts on the image ...

Dream Valley Challenge 11 Summer

Image
Summer time, and the livin' is easy... I'm sorry I'm a bit late with my Dream Valley Challenges DT card. I was whisked away to the North Norfolk coast for a birdwatching weekend my my old man. It was wonderful!!! Back to business: we had loads of fabulous entries for our 'ribbon' challenge last time! You are all very imaginative and talented!! Now we have a Summer theme for the next fortnight, so we want to see bright colours, summer or holiday images, fun on the beach, swimsuits and flip-flops, or even all of the above - whatever 'summer' is for you. For me it's ICE CREAM - somehow, ice cream is never as good as when it's eaten on a beach on a hot, sunny day! Our lovely sponsors are One Stop Card Crafts - they are also on Facebook under that name. My ice cream card started with the Penny Black image - this was one of the first stamps I bought, and I love her, isn't she cool? Love that smiley face - and the ice cream cone!! Papers are Funky Ha...
