My Time to Craft #377 More Than One Fold

Image
Good morning, my lovelies! I hope you're all keeping well. We have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft which is to use More than one fold. I made a Diamond Top Card - the link is to Christina Griffith's very useful website. The papers are from stash. I masked and gold-embossed the flowers and leaves, and used Zig Real Brush markers to colour them, then used a Spellbinders Lacy Square die to cut them out. The gold-embossed sentiment is from an old Hero Arts stamp set. The diamond top fold is a bit tricky at first, but I practised on printer paper until I got it right! Go and see my teamies'lovely creations, and welcome the 4 new members of the DT! Thanks for looking and have a great weekend! love Mags B x

Dream Valley Challenge 21 Sparkle!

Image
Afternoon, all! I hope you're all doing well. It's time for another Dream Valley Challenge and this time the theme is SPARKLE! . So get out the glitter, the glamour dust, tinsel and gems - and remember, it doesn't have to be a card! The prize this time is two Lili of the Valley stamps: Well, I'm in full Christmas flow, so I made a Diamond fold Christmas card following the tutorial on Split Coast Stampers . I used a 12 inch by 4 inch strip: if you use A4 paper you have to adjust the two side flaps, making them 1mm narrower than the centre - it sounds complicated, but it's really quite simple. The folds look like this when you're done: I like that the base card makes the borders so you don't have to mat the papers on coloured card! So what else did I use? The papers are Papermania 'Noel' collection, which are glittered and shiny! The cute Santa, which I cut out and popped onto foam pads, is a Whiff of Joy stamp, coloured in Promarkers. I slathered G...

Anyone for Anya Diamond fold card

Image
The challenge at Anyone for Anya? is 'Don't be square' so I made a Diamond fold card. There's a tutorial on YouTube here The image is Amelia and for once I picked the papers BEFORE colouring her! She's off to Devon, where my sister has a summer job working at Lee Abbey . The Diamond fold is easy - though it needs careful measuring, especially as A4 card is 298cm long, which makes dividing by thirds a little tricky. However, I still know how to do Long Division after hem-hem years since maths classes - and the joy of cards is that mistakes can be covered by pretty paper! Thanks for looking! Recipe: Amelia from 'Happy Day' by The Greeting Farm stamped in Stazon on watercolour paper Coloured with Distress Inks: Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Tea Dye, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade Orange Stickles on every star! Papers are the gorgeous MME 'Bloom and Grow' Flowers are handmade and the yellow ones are by Kaisercraft. The s...
