Image
Hi, guys! Happy Thursday! I hope you're all looking forward to a good weekend! In the meantime, have a look at our great new Challenge at CRAFT Challenge! It's a nice and easy one - Mothers' Day or Female. (I never know whhere to put the apostrophe on 'Mothers' Day!) This pretty image is Happy Flowers from Sweet'n'Sassy. I used a Spellbinders Decorative Labels 4 die for the mat. The papers are from stash and the silver ribbon was an RAK from my daughter. The silver-embossed sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Celebration Scripty Sayings stamp set. Our sponsors this week: Sweet'n'Sassy and Crafty Ribbons. Get out your prettiest ribbons, dies, stamps and papers and make something for the ladies in your life! Thanks for looking! love Mags B x

CRAFT Challenge #401 - Inspiration Picture.

Good morning! I hope you're all looking forward to a great weekend! While you're waiting, have a look at our new Challenge at CRAFT Challenge which is this lovely picture for you to take inspiration from: This goldfinch sitting on a thistle is so pretty! From the picture I took the colours red, yellow and brown; the thistle; and that a flock of goldfinches is called a 'charm'! The elegant image is Marseilles Chapeau by Rick St Dennis MFA - sadly she is out of print, but he has other similar, gorgeous images! I coloured her with Promarkers. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and have been glittered. The kraft die-cuts are made with a Memory Box Chloe Stem. The ribbon and the bird charm are also from stash. The sentiment is from Altenew's Label Love. We have two fab sponsors this week: Crafty Ribbons Ri...

Be warned, there are several pictures to follow! I needed to make a box to send a card to a friend that used a Tickled Pink stamp, Lil Victorian Steampunk Lolita Evie. In keeping with the Victorian idea, on the lid of the box I was going to do just the image, frame and ribbon to look like a picture on the wall of a Victorian room, but I got a bit carried away with the ornamentation! The fantastic papers are a download from Bearly Mine Designs 'Vintage' set. Here's the box at an angle so you can see the ribbon tie at the front. And here's the inside. I added a piece of raffia ribbon to the front, and die-cut a Marianne butterfly. The flowers are from stash, and they're sitting on a Magnolia Doohickey flower die, and the swirl is also Magnolia. The pearls in the top corners are from Wild Or...
