Dream Valley Challenge #172 3 Patterned Papers

Image
Good morning, my lovelies! I hope you all had a great weekend - we were visited by the grandchildren (and their parents!) which was lovely. The house seems very quiet now! We have an interesting new Challenge at Dream Valley - Use Three Patterned Papers. A good way to use up those snippets we all save! I apologise for the wonky photo! I used A girl can't have too many... rubber stamp by All Dressed Up for Little Darlings Rubber Stamps. She is so chic, with her elegant shoes and hat! I think of her as une Parisienne, so I used papers from the Paris Girl collection by Echo Park/Carta Bella. The Eiffel Tower chipboard was a magazine freebie a looooong time ago. The ribbon is from stash. I used a Penny Black Heart String die to cut the hearts swag from the same paper I used at the bottom of the card. The sentiment is from and old stamp set by Lili of the Valley. Our sponsor this fortnight is the fabulous All Dressed Up Stamps. Go and see my teamies' great c...

The Squirrel and the Fox #41 Inspired by a Song or Movie

Image
Good morning! I hope you're all having a relaxing weekend! It's time for another Challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox and our theme is Inspired by a Song or a Movie Neat challenge, isn't it?! Our sponsor is The Paper Shelter and the DT were generously given images to play with. I fell for this cutie immediately! There was only one song (and movie!) that sprang to mind - '9 to 5'! I love that film! The girlie's hair made me think at once of Dolly Parton! In fact, she also reminds me of my Vicar's wife, who is also Church Administrator, so I also know who will be the recipient of this card! Well, it's nice to send someone a random card to make them smile! The gorgeous papers are 'Paris Girl' by Carta Bella, isn't that pink fabulous?! I cut the circular mat with a Spellbinders Picot Circle die. I coloured her with Promarkers and Glossy Accented the lid of her laptop and also her cute specs. I used Kraft card from a Papermania pa...

Dream Valley 43: Anything Goes!

Image
Good morning, all! It's a grey, overcast day in South-East Hertfordshire, but to brighten things up we have a new challenge at Dream Valley and it's the perennial favourite Anything Goes! (I'm a bit early today and I'll add the sponsors once I get back from Church!) The sponsors are Digital Delights by Louby Lou with a $5 voucher, and Washi Tapes who are offering £30 worth of tape for one lucky winner! PLUS there's a 10% discount code for everyone until 1st March! Just enter the code DVC1. My card is for a neighbour who hasn't been well recently: It's another faded picture, I'm afraid, the colours irl are brighter and pinker! I used Carta Bella 'Making Memories' papers and also the flower sticker, which I added to card and cut out, then raised on foam pads. The sparkly ribbon is by Papermania. I used an EKSuccess punch for the scalloped border, and the sentiment is by Whiff of Joy. The only other embellishment was to go round t...
