 Good morning! We are having a Design Team call at  Dream Valley ! If you're interested, check out the blog post.  We welcome crafters at all levels of experience - this was my very first DT, 12 years ago, when I was a very new crafter, and I learned so much from my lovely teamies over the years. Now for our new challenge - Add Some Bling.   Our sponsor is the wonderful  All Dressed Up Stamps  and Wendy kindly gave us two of her fabulous images to use.  I went with  Dreaming of Summer  - so pretty! I used papers from an elderly First Edition pad, and some pearlised purple cardstock from my stash.  I added two shiny  Lilac Mirror  peel-offs by Love from Lizi.  I covered the butterflies on the image with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen (which doesn't really show in the photo unless you squint!) and finally some purple gems from my stash.  The die-cut hello is an old die from  Clearly Besotted.  Hi there! It's time for a new Challenge at  Dream Valley  and the theme is Summer Colours.   It's astonishing to realise that next Wednesday is June 1st - where did May go??? And of course next weekend we have the celebrations of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and an extra Bank Holiday.  I'm involved in a Fun Day at my Church, we are all hoping and praying for fine weather. But you want to know more about the Challenge! Our gorgeous sponsor is  All Dressed Up Stamps  and Wendy has sent the DT two of her adorable digis to use.  Seriously, check out her shop, her images are fabulous! I used  Little Flower Girl  she is so cute! I used a gorgeous paper from an old paper pad by My Mind's Eye called 'Howdy Doody.'  Such bright colours! I layered the image on yellow and orange cardstock and matted the paper onto orange: we have marigolds in the garden which are bright orange and look fantastic! Good afternoon, my lovelies! It's time for another Challenge at Dream Valley and we'd like you to use either dies or punches or both on your creation!  Our sponsor is All Dressed Up Stamps, and Wendy kindly sent the Design Team a couple of images to use: I went with Country Girl who is so cute! I used a lot of Spellbinders dies on my circle card! The colourful background paper came from a pad from Love from Lizi called 'Kaleidoscope.' So summery! I used the same colours for the image. The green trim is from my stash, and the 'hello' die is a very old one from Simon Says Stamp.   I have been trying out different sizes, shapes and folds for my cardbases recently, I find that it sparks new ideas! Hi there! We have a new Challenge for you at Dream Valley which is Embossing. This could be either using an embossing folder, or heat-embossing - or both!  Our gorgeous sponsor is All Dressed Up Stamps . I used one of my favourite images, but I'm sad to say she is no longer available. But do check out Wendy's images, they are lovely! I did some Faux Letterpress by swiping an Wilted Violet Distress Ink across the flat side of my embossing folder. I added my card (the same size as the folder) and taped the edges of the folder to stop it shifting, then ran it through my die-cutting machine. Then I carefully swiped Spun Sugar lightly across the raised pattern several times until the colour was as I liked it.  I added a strip of pale blue ribbon under the image and heat-embossed the sentiment in gold, then fastened it to the ribbon with foam tape. To keep the ribbon in place I also added some glue dots under where the sentiment is. (Does that make sense?)  Finally I glue...

Good morning! Happy Bank Holiday Monday for those enjoying the break! Our new Challenge at Dream Valley which is to Use a stamped or digi image. Nice and easy - but it must be an image! I have used one of the fabulous images from Wendy Burns at All Dressed Up Stamps. In fact, this beauty is a rubber stamp from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps, this is Looking Gorgeous. She is so glamorous that I pulled out the flowers and lace! Both are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I built a flower arch for the ballerina to dance under, and added little leaves from a Spellbinders' Foliage die. I also used a Spellbinders Labels 22 die to cut out the image. The paper is from an old paper pad by Tilda called 'Summer Blues.' The ribbon is from stash. Our sponsor is All Dressed Up. Do go and have a look at Wendy's lovely images! Good morning! We have a great new Challenge at CRAFT Challenge! It's a Colour Combo: Gorgeous, or what? I used Love to Dance by our fab sponsor All Dressed Up Stamps. I love Wendy's beautiful, charming images! The papers were created by our Boss, Jo . I used a Spellbinders Labels 20 die to cut the mat. I also used a Spellibinders Foliage Two set for the white die-cut flourishes. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the lace is from stash. Happy Monday! At Dream Valley this fortnight we have a theme of Pretty in Pink so go to town with all your pink supplies! Our sponsor is the awesome All Dressed Up and a lucky winner will be able to choose 2 of Wendy's lovely images. I used the sweet Flyaway Butterfly I went a bit overboard with the pink! I'm not sure what the papers are, they came with a kit from Studio Calico. The butterflies are from Joycrafts and the gems, ribbon and bobble trim are from stash.
