Farm Quest Challenge Blog #5 Leafy foliage or herbs and a clay pot or vase.

Image
Hiya! My friend   Becca Sadler  from My Time to Craft and My Time to Craft Christmas has started a new challenge blog called  Farm Quest Challenge Blog  aka FQCB.  She asked me to make something for her Challenge starting on June 6th.  It has to include foliage or herbs and a clay pot. I made an ATC: Recently I followed the Spring Card Camp lessons at  Online Card Classes  and there was a technique for stencilling over a clear heat-embossed background.  Rather than stencilling I used stamps and dye inks over an old Rose Trellis background by Simon Says Stamp.  The sentiment and white ribbon are from my stash and I used Nuvo Drops in the top right corner. Do take a look at the Challenge Blog and see if you'd like to have a go! It doesn't have to be a card!! Thanks for looking and Take Care! love Mags B x

My Time to Craft #376 Artist Trading Card (ATC)

Hiya! I hope everyone's having an enjoyable weekend! Today there's a new challenge at My Time to Craft and this fortnight we'd like to see Artist Trading Cards, or ATCs. These are little cards, 2 and a half inches by 3 and a half inches, which you decorate. Yes, like Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh trading cards, but prettier! I was inspired by a 6 x 6 pad of papers called The Peony Avenue by Studio 5 I cut 2 papers to size and sliced across them at an angle and reassembled them. I gold embossed the edges using Versamark and embossing powder. I fussy cut flowers and leaves from one of the papers. Then I went over the flowers with a sparkle pen. I also decorated the back It was very interesting working on such a small scale, and now I want to make a co-ordinating card to see if it will work when expanded! Do go and see my teamies' fab ATCs, they are so varied and original! Thanks for looking! love Mags B x

My Time to Craft Challenge #270 Christmas ATC

Morning, all! I hope you're all keeping well. I am at the stage of Christmas preparation where I'm like a swan - you know, all calm gliding across the surface of the water, but underneath paddling away like mad!! Or is it just me that feels like that at this time of the year????? We have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft and I gotta confess, it's a new one for me. Our theme is to make a Christmas ATC ATC stands for Artists' Trading Card. If you or your kids have ever traded Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon cards, you'll have an inkling of what this is about. An ATC is a small work of art (2.5 x 3.5 inches) that is made to be exchanged with other artists. I've had a look at several videos on Youtube, and many of the ATC creations are just amazing! It's like the crafting equivalent of miniature paintings on ivory! Techniques seem to be important in ATCs, so for my background I blended shades of Distress Inks (Chipped Sapphire and Broken China) and then splattered ...
