MUS MULYADI & THE EXOTIC - SEDETIK DI-BELAI KASEH

Here's an ep from The Exotic and this is a Singapore pressing that came out in 1969.... The members were: JERRY SOUISAY - Lead Guitar ARKAN - Rhythm Guitar MUS MULYADI - Bass Guitar (and vocals) JEFRI ZAENAL - Drums Now, there's quiet a story behind this ep and this band, (translated with google translate which was quiet bad, I tried to make it more readable) : At the invitation of his (Mus Mulyadi's) friend Jerry Souisa as group leader, invited two Arista Birawa members, namely Mus Mulyadi and Jeffry Zaenal and a colleague named Arkan to do a show in Singapore. Although at first he (Mus Mulyadi) was hesitant to leave his band (Arista Birawa), which already had some succes in Surabaya. Moreover, at that time his father had recently passed away. But finally, together with three of his colleagues, he left Surabaya and tried to try his luck to Singapore in 1967. Using a wooden ship for 2 weeks until it landed in Tanjung Pinang. Then they played a celebration show without being paid by a Chinese merchant tycoon as a fee to take them to Singapore. In Singapore they stayed with a Javanese family. During their 2 years there they never got a show offer. They were homeless, starved, and stranded without food, work, and money. With determination and patience they finally began to get a chance to change their fate. After being unemployed, Mus learned to compose a song and came up with the songs "A second of love", "Meet and be happy", "Kr. Far in the Eyes", until he collected 10 songs. They formed a band called The Exotic with personnel Jerry Souisa on lead guitar, Arkan on Rhythm guitar, Jeffry Zaenal (Abidin) on drums and Mus Mulyadi on bass as well as vocalist. He then offered his works to Life Record in Jurong in 1969. They immediately made 2 Pop and Keroncong albums in the form of vinyl / plate which is usually called (EP7 (Extended Play). In the album cover Mulyadi began to use the name Mus Mulyadi as a name. In addition, Mus said he took from a fragment of his mother's name. In Singapore, Mus managed to get 2,800 Singapore Dollars for two LPs (LPs). After pocketing the money, Mus Mulyadi and three of his colleagues returned to Indonesia.... Quiet a story!!! Now, this is a re-post, I posted this ep back in 2012 and when I had posted it I got a reaction in the comment section that I would like to share here: "Thank you for this posting this album. My name is Jazzy Pangemanan Souisay, the oldest son of late Jerry Souisay. I feel so happy to finally able to find my late father's name on the internet. Jerry passed away in Jakarta in year 1997. Hopefully, some friends who still live and have memory of him would like to share with me. Thank you... Best regards, Jazz Pangemanan Souisay (Jazz Pasay)" GET IT HERE Enjoy!
