C O N S O L I D A T E D - U N I T Y O F O P P R E S S I O N

Here's an ep from Consolidated who were a very political early 90's hip hop crew from America.... They came and did a concert in my home town Rotterdam, must've been around '92 or'93 or so, I had to work in the cafe so I couldn't make it but after the concert a lot of folks came to the cafe, seems this band liked to preach a lot on stage, so much so that people got sick of it and started to shout and protest and tell them to just get on with it and play and stop the preaching, a friend, Wouter, shouted "Er Moet Meer Geneukt Worden!!!" (There should be more fucking!!!) and fights broke out.... Too bad I had to work, I would've loved to see them live and their overall message is as relevant as ever if not even more so these days.... GET IT HERE Enjoy!

AREA 51 PRESENTS THE CALI CHRONICLES

So yeah, a new year, just hoping that 2021 won't be as bat shit crazy as 2020 was and I'm not just talking about the lock-downs and all that. We lost both my parents in law 3 months ago, my daughter got married and a week later her new father in law just dropped dead from a heart attack at age 51, some friends and family members, both in Holland and here in Indonesia passed away (and nobody from covid-19) so yeah, quiet a crazy year.... Last year I managed to get to 2258 posts, doubt if I will ever break that record, I have some projects coming up this year that will hopefully take off, kinda thinking about posting a bit less then usuall so I can focus more on some other stuff, but not stopping, oooh no sir, not stopping :) I do, of course, wish all you visitors a great and happy new year, Dolmance, Timmy, Jon Towel, Lucky, Edwin Edwar, Rev.b, Monkey D Sound, Icastico and anybody else I might forget... Anyway, starting things off this year with this mix tape from a crew called Area 51 from Los Angeles, saw them perform in Rotterdam in the early 2000's.... GET IT HERE Enjoy!

MADROTTER FT. WRATH THE POETIC PROFIT & RUFUS NUSTO

So, some 14, 15 years ago I made a whole lot of songs for two rappers from Spokane, Washington State, Wrath the Poetic Profit and Rufus Nusto, had a lot of fun working with these guys, heard loads of crazy stories about life in Spokane and I still think that some of the stuff we did together came out great.... I specially like our science fiction track "Jailtime in Orbit", the "Mob Lifestyles" track which is about the life of Frank Nitti, Al Capone's right hand man and the "Movin' Out" track where we made fun of the Will Smith types in hip hop.... GET OUR SONGS HERE And here's a video from them (not my production :) ) Enjoy!
