Wildflowers card

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Wild and Wonderful".

I really enjoy making nature themed cards. Often they are a bit the same with a blue sky and a green part for the greenery. But that makes it a classic ;). This time I didn't use the Wildflowers dies, but the Wildflowers stamp set.

For the background I started with sky, with Distress Spray Stain Salvage Patina and Speckled Egg, but also with Metallique Paint Stormy Ocean. That gives it a fun metallic effect.
For the greenery, I've used Distress Oxide Spray Crushed Olive, Distress Spray Stain Peeled Paint, Infusions Emerald Isle, and Nuvo Shimmer Powder Green Parade.

Spring Flowers card

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Easter/Spring".

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Paper Artsy. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
Infusions is one of my favorite background making products. I have used it this time in different ways. First I started with the background and used Infusions Lemoncello along with Nuvo Shimmer Powder Solar Flare with lots of water to blend all the colors well together. For the bottom I used Infsions Slime and Nuvo Shimmer Powder Fallen Leaves and Green Parade with again a lot of water.

Stamped randomly with Faded Type stamp set and Infusions Olive Tree, Nuvo Shimmer Powder Fallen Leaves and Green Parade as ink. Stamping the first few times gives a very watercolory effect. But the less there is on the stamp, the sharper it gets.
Finally, I colored Texture Paste with Infusions Green Man and Olive Tree, with a little Nuvo Shimmer Powder Green Parade and used the Digits stencil.
