It's in my new bag

Hi everyone,

Lately I've been super busy and I hardly can make time to be creative. But this weekend I had plenty of time and I immediately took on a major project, making a bag! I've already told you that a very good friend of mine gave me a brand new iPad (!!!) the other day and now I need to take it with me every where I go. But my current bag is completely  worn, so time to make a new one . Terry gave me the idea of making a bag for Grungy Monday. It put me under considerable pressure because I wanted to make it on time, and fortunately I just made it! I have made this bag from scratch and it took forever!! Most of my bags have removable flaps and straps and so does this bag. Unfortunately I had no time left for making a new flap and strap and therefore I have altered an existing one. I'm planning to make a nice brooch of the tattered flower so I can pin it on my bag.

With this bag I'm entering Grungy Monday, despite it isn't very grungy, and I'm entering Simon Says Stamp and Show again.

12 tags of 2012 - February

Hi everyone,

Earlier this week, Tim came with a brand new idea for the 12 tags. His new idea is to make a tag each month of the year instead of all 12 tags in december. I think it's a great idea, because I found it very stressful last time, although I'm glad I joined in the fun! The 12 tags of christmas was really a happening and really something to look forward to, but now we can enjoy it throughout the year! And this time the theme is Valentine!

Tim's tag

I do not have many of the supplies Tim used, so I give it a go with what I have. But I'm trying to make them as close as I can to the original. That's my method of getting the hang of the techniques.
And with this tag I'm joing in the fun of Grungy Monday, which challenge was to make a Tim Valentine themed creation. And this challenge is sponsered by Simon Says Stamp! And also with the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, which theme is Tag it.

My tag

The cupid I have found on the Internet and I cut it out with the eCraft The little fellow is very similar to that of Tim! Unfortunately I have no honeycomb paper. And I did a different technique with aluminum foil and alcohol ink, in this case a copic marker, from the last 12 tags.

The materials used:
  • Cupid
  • Ribbon
  • Beads
  • Brads

Kings and Queens

Hi everyone,

It's February already! Time flies! Today I'm joining in with no less than four challenges today! Grungy Monday, Simon Says Stamp and Show, ColorQ and Use it Tuesday.
This week the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge is the show Kings and Queens. This card was also a good one for last weeks challenge. Kings and Queens from 30 seconds to Mars, I think that's a great song!
For ColorQ I used the following color. I don't have kraft paper, so I tried to make it with distress ink, but it isn't quite it...
The challenge for Grungy Monday is to use the crackle resist technique from Tim Holtz. I only have Rock Candy, so I had to make that work. Unfortunately, the resist is not completely the way I would have liked.
This time for Use it Tuesday I used a stamp that I've never used before, the frame stamp.

The materials:
  • Stamp: Prima Marketing
  • Foam is 1 mm thick
  • Ribbon / lace
  • Font: District
  • Water Brush

Thank you so much for stopping by!!
