Tim Holtz Tag....

....well sort of!
This isn't actually anything like any of Tim's 12 days of christmas tags, but I was inspired by Tim's tags to go make something along similar lines. Most of the stamps and collage image are by Inka, but as an homage to Tim I have used the grunge alphabet in the background. This is an absolutely gorgeous stamp that I recently received as part of my prize for winning the craft stamper ATC competition (the prize was provided by The Fruit Pixie).

To make the flower I used Inka's mirrored poinsettia stamps, this meant that they did not line up when I place one on top of the other giving a more realistic effect.
since step outside the box saturday has the theme to do a "Tim Tag" this is my entry.
I just realised this fits with Saturday's workout theme as well

how colourful can you be?

that's the challenge at step outside your box saturday
I made this tag for a summer sun themed art raffle, and I've lost track of the number of colours in it! I started with a laura ashley paper that has loads of colours already and then it just sort of grew from there!!
The collage image is from Inka, as is the ringer stamp and the words that I've used to make the sun

getting in a mess!

The theme at step outside your box saturday is "Take Chances, Make Mistakes and Get Messy!!!!" and the theme at 4x4 friday is orange and yellow.

so I decided to mess about with orange and yellow acrylic paints. I then decided to have a go at an acrylic paint image transfer. I am always put off doing this as if (or in my case when) it goes wrong, it's a waste of a perfectly good image. but I decided to take the chance and make mistakes if necessary and I made this. The image is by Inka, the transfer didn't go that well (I just don't have the patience to let it dry!!) but I decided to go with it anyway, highlighting the main image with the ringer stamp, and acrylic paint. I also used a swish stamp and some collage words from Inka.
