GC#124 Black and Grey

This week, the new challenge at Gingersnap creations is Black and Grey. I used this fabulously spooky image from Crafty Individuals, which was just perfect for the theme.

I stamped the image in grey and then again in black. from the black one I just cut out the bed. One the grey one I created a mask for the moon and building and then made the whole background more moody with black and grey distress inks. I mounted the bird on 3D foam.

I finished with an immovable knot.

LIM ribbon

The theme at Less is More is ribbons and buttons. I made this little scrapling using an octopode stamp I've been meaning to play with for ages along with some Stamp Camp words.

The ribbon is tied with an immovable knot, but I think is too thick for the flower, but it's kind of quirky!

frantic stamper card

On the frantic stamper blog today, I have this card featured, using one of the frantic stampers own stamps. I love the way the girl 's hair blends into the sky and sea. I have coloured it with pencils.
The ribbons are attached using the immovable knot techniqe.

GC88- color challenge : coffee and cream

The theme this week at gingersnap is Coffee and cream. I decided to use this cute cupcake stamp that came free with the Docrafts magazine. I then coloured it with various brown pencils and some gold liquid pearls.

frantic stamper: shopper card

On the Frantic Stamper blog today I have this card. The french newspaper background and shopping post are from The Frantic Stamper's own range of stamps. The swirl is a prima stamp. The paper is 7 gypsies. Everything, including the ribbon is available from the frantic stamper.
The ribbon is attached using the immovable knot technique again.

a little play with some christmas goodies

I got a few crafting goodies for Christmas, including some stamps from Jo Capper-Sandon's range of stamps from Stampotique (available from Happy Daze), and some spellbinders dies.

I used the largest of a set of rectangle nestabilities to make this card, folding the resultant die cut in half. Then I used two of the stamps from Jo's heart cube, plus "mwah" and the kiss stamp that comes with it. I attached the ribbon using the immovable knot technique. perfect for this card as I can make sure it stays in place at the top of the hanging heart.

I have taken some extra pictures of this technique so you can really see how it works.

I am entering this for the stampotique die cuts challenge, which I am hoping is still open. (the challenge is actually a diecut and a punch - I used a die cut for the card, and a hole punch to make the hole for the immovable knot)
