gingersnap words of wisdom

This month Gingersnap Creations is Sponsored by Rogue Redhead Designs. I am fortunate to be on the Design Team of both of these.

This first card was made for the Words of wsidom Challenge at Gingersnap Creations. I didn't use any rogue redhead stamps for this,

but I also made a bookmark using the relish reading plate from Rogue redhead.

I covered the bookmark with laminating film, but realised too late that I had cut it a little short!!

to make a feature of this I roughed up the edge with a blade and inked it... a happy accident??

Stampotique Challenge: make a bookmark

The new Stampotique Designers' challenge is to make a bookmark.

I chose to make mine a corner book mark. To make the basic bookmark I cut the corner off an envelope.
I decorated this with Stamps From Jo Capper-Sandon's range at Stampotique.

I added the ribbon so that it's easy to see the book mark when your book is closed.

GC90 Charms : a book charm

The theme at gingersnap this week is charms. I decided I wanted to make a charm rather than use a charm. at first I was going to make a mobile phone charm, but then I decided to make a book charm. After all I always have a book with me, so why shouldn't that get a charm. of course it's just a book mark really, but a fancy one!

I used shrink plastic cut with a spellbinder die, stamped a rogue redhead stamp, and coloured with colour soft pencils before shrinking. The beads were from an old necklace and the embroidery threads were from when I used to do cross stitch. They were just plaited. really easy!
