S and T

I am so behind on my alphabet ATCs. so I thought I would do S and T tonight. it may not immediatly be obvious but I have used the same leaf background for both of these. The Skipping one is actually very sparkly as all of the stamping is embossed with crystal embossing powder. The trees on the second one are embossed in copper.

talking of trees the Tree Inchies swap is due to finish tomorrw. I think I have all the ones in that I am expecting to get. but don't forget that the inchie swap with the them "circles" have only just started and you have a whole month. just let me know if you fancy joining in.

as promised.... Q and R

Q is for Queen (obvious I know, but there isn't a hugw choice with Q) and R is for Rainbow, or more specifically "somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly, if birds fly over the rainbow, why, oh why, can't I?" but that's a bit of a long title to write on the back of the ATC.

The queen stamp is from Paperartsy (as is the border on the queen ATC) and the background is done with alcohol inks. I felt it was a regal colour.
The rainbow is done with distress inks. Yay! I have enough distress inks to do a whole rainbow. I probably have enough to do a brown rainbow too. I love the different shades of brown you can get in the distress ink range.

O and P

O is for owl, and P is for party hats

I recently got this owl stamp from paper artsy and was deternined to use it. I like it but quite a difficult one to use. the owls face would be perfect for an inchie though.

I added paper artsy party hats to these oxford impressions men as they looked like they need a good cheering up.
I'm running a bit late with the alphabet swap, so Q and R will follow shorttly.

well after considering many, many themes for this atc, I finally decided on "indecent exposure"

my original plan was to print off a beautiful vintage nude photo, but I couldn't get near the computer. The kids have set up a rota system for themselves during the school holidays, and I have to ask to get on the computer. so I decided to go with stamps, and out came the old trusted paper artsy nudes.



ah well the kids are back at school on monday!!

H is for Horsie

my next ATC for the alphabet swap organised by karen brown. It took me ages to find that saddle charm. you'd think it would be a doddle to find anything in my super tidy craft room. oh sorry I forgot you've seen it now!! lol

J is for

yes I know I haven't done H or I yet, but I just got these new stamps from paperartsy and I was playing with grid stamping. which I was inspired to do after reading Is's book

so J for japan just sort of happened!

G is for.......

well I thought and thought about this one. I was going to do glamour, right from the start, then I decided I liked G is for girl and I was going to use a pretty vintage picture of a little girl, then I thought I'd done that with the tag book and wanted something "different" so in the bath I was mulling over the girl theme when I started humming "just a girl" by no doubt (humming because I can't sing) which gave me the title, so then I wanted to show what just a girl could do. originally I thought of the women working in the factories during the war, then this idea came to me.

our world can be changed by "just a girl"

E and F

gosh, it's a while since I posted. I have been creating, but you know when you just think your stuff isn't good enough to show the world, well I've been a bit like that.

These aren't any better, but I thought since I'd started with the alphabet, i'd better keep it going.

so we have E for elegance, and F for friends.
