Valentines Love xxx

Happy Valentines to you all!

This is the card I gave to
my Hubby !

It seems just about everyone wants
love or hearts on their cards this week.
so this fits challenges over at

Crafty Pad,
One Stop Challenge,
Totally Gorjuss,
Papertake weekly,
A spoonful of sugar
Creative Card Crew.

I have double checked and
I think none of the above
have a max entrys for one card.

Now........

my beloved Hubby made
these yummy shortbread
hearts for me!

The house smelled fantastic when I
came home from work!

a few pics
of the other girlies in my
hubby's life!

Poppy Dog....
who likes to snuggle
with her Dad!

Mind you.........
so does Bella Boo!

Who loves her Dad
soooooooooooooooooooooo much!

But she is really too big
to try and snuggle on the sofa
likes she wants to.

Saturday stuff

Was out having a wee galavant today.
Took myself to lunch,
and after I convinved myself
in this day and age
it was no big deal to go and
eat all by myself,
I was asked twice was I eating
all by myself,
and the waitress then shouted out
"Table for one only...."
to which her boss asked her to clarify...
"Just one? She is eating by herself...?"

So yeah....anyway.....

Had lunch then went to Debbi's
Promarker class at Simply Create.
It was really lovely to meet Debbi & Anne
face to face in real life!

And lovely to see a few face's I have come to know
from going through to Alford.

I have still to finish my two cards off,
so just a wee sneaky peek at something.

I did part with two jars of my
home made beet root chutney.
And have been asked for the recipe.....
If I tell you,
do you promise not to tell anyone???

I will tell you however....
there were two miss doggies
who were not best pleased
at having to spending a wee while
at home, by them selves!

oh and Bella Boo was a wee star at doggy class
on Wednesday!
I was so proud of her......
It's not that she can't do what I ask her to there....
she just chooses not most of the time!

Hope you are well.
Much love

Sweet!

I have two cards from Tuesday's card
class to show you this evening.
The third one is for someone
who reads my blog and I don't
want them to see the pic before they
get their cards.

I love acetate cards!
Blue and white is such a lovely
colour combo.
The white stayzone ink
doesn't show up so well.

The stamp was such a beautiful script.

Creative Card Crew want colours of your country,
well blue & white are colours of the Scottish flag.
My Time to Craft want some embossing.

~~~~~T~~~~~
Next is a twisted easel card.
I am going to turn it into a birthday card.
I quite liked this fold,
but it was a real faff to try to
get a good clear picture of it.
~~~~~T~~~~~

Next using a sugar nellie
cotton rabbits stamp to make
a wee pen holder using a recyled syrup tin.

Allsorts want us to recycle something.
Well this was a syrup tin once upon a time,
Totally Gorjuss want us to do something
as you like it.
This had my fave Sugar Nellie stamps,
gingham ribbon, home made
flowers that I love to make & involves recycling
and pink and purple are a fave colour combo of mine...
so that is just how I like it.

Talking of sweet.....

hope you are grand

pretty cute!

I am having serious laptop problems.
This machine is on it's way out
and until my new one arrives....
is driving me insane!!!

Anyway......

A few makes from this week.
A new stamp....SWALK I think.
Not sure if it is too girlie
but I kind of like it.

Allsorts want cards linked to song titles.
Well this one could be Raindrops keep falling on my head.

~~~~~T~~~~~
These next three are from a card class
over at the House of Sugar
with the lovely Kate.
I have since added some red glitter dots
and a Christmas stamp at the bottom.
But am unable to download photos
due to this naughty laptop!
~~~~~T~~~~~

I love this next card.
A glitter shaker card with
an embossed image on
lovely shimmery purple card.

A spoonful of sugar want sparkle and shine.

~~~~~T~~~~~
I love this card as well.
The backing paper is
not something I would usually use
but I really liked it.
The white card is embossed
and then burnished with chalk inks.
~~~~~T~~~~~

Now this card was a bit of a play for me.
And I am not 100% sure about it.
The poppy was stamped onto
Stampin Up card stock and
then fine embossed.

It is my challenge card for
Creative Card crew as they want Blooms.

Now............
over to some cuteness.
Blondie (AKA Bella) and her best mate
Poppy spend all their time together.
They are both at dog class together
this week too. Poppy has been taking time
off while Bella catches up.
It is too much to work them both
but Hubby is free on Wednesday
evening so his is going to
work Bella all this month.
Bella works ok for me until
she sees Hubby then just stops.
She just sits and cries until
she can get to him!

Hope you are all well.

in a box

If I have scheduled this properly
then you should be seeing
my MIL's 70th Birthday card
and we should be enjoying her
Surprise Birthday Party!

First of all the box it comes in....
as you know my in-laws call my MIL~ MOP

The happy birthday strips are paper
from my the local craft shop
that I do my card classes in.

The flower is stamped leaves put through
a crinkle machine thingy...
( what do you call it? )

Inside it is a folded card,
with another leaf flower.

I will be making these again.

I do like this card, but it is a bit floppy!

Since it is a special Birthday I have put a poem
on the inside of the box.

Here is the whole set.

I am entering it in the creative card crew's
challenge for a shaped card.
much love

oooh la la!

lace, glitter and double sided sticky sheet!

Thats what was used at card class to
make this beautiful glitter lace effect
on both cards, with a bodice template.

I didn't get this one finished....
too much laughing!
I still have the greeting that says
something French to be layered
and stuck on.
And I have two wee gems to add
to my suspender belts!!!
*blush*

Can I also had you have to be careful
where you apply the lace to so you don't
end up with big flowers over the bust area
or it looks a bit too rude!

Second card is a bit more classy!

Same lace as a template but on cream card
and made into a ball gown with gold & white
glitter to make the lacy panel.

Narrow cream ribbon for a sash or belt on the dress.

Now trying the living room window sill
for taking my photos as the summer sun
was pouring through there.
Not great but will do the job.

Talking about cheeky......

I know I haven't got that bit weeded.
or tied back the daffodil leaves
but.......Had to show you this!

*sigh*

Am on late shift today so best get myself
organised and ready for work!

one stamp two very different cards

I love card class.
Its a fab way to learn new techniques.
Try out new styles and new mediums.

I love this stamp the June took in,
it is beautiful!

And after several hours online searching

I FOUND IT!!!

We used the same stamp in two
very different ways.

Firstly we stamped it then watercoloured it,
then once it was dry we cut into sections.
Some did four pieces I did three.
Layered with with black card.
Then used low tack tap on the back
to hold in place uses twine to tie
together, applied double sided tape
on the back then removed low tack tape.
It looks really squint on this picture,
but looks ok in real life.
it is on green pearl card.
I have a sentiment to put down the
side but I want to add a name to it.

The next one is done using heat embossing.
The mount board heart is first covered with
versamark then silver embossing powder
and then using the heat gun it is melted.
you do this about three or four times,
then after inking up the stamp with
the versamark again & keeping it ready
we applied a coat of thick clear embossing
powder and stamped while hot.

The lines were embossed using the score board
thin strip of black card edged with silver pen
and a thin red ribbon was applied.

The black backing card had been stamped using
versamark so it had a watermark effect.

Two wee gems on the corners
add a touch of bling.

I am entering it for ABC this week
who want something metallic for M
I will use both these techniques again.
I forgot how much I like the
heat embossed stamping.

two makes for tuesday

I love card class, time to craft with others
trying out new techniques.

these two we made this week
are two of my fave !

Excuse the blue kirby grip ....
It is just to hold it together while I took the picture.

These great wee sea gulls we used
were die cuts June took in for us.
Living near the sea I don't like seagulls much,
they steal food including once from our BBQ
dive bomb locals including children
and small animals ! !
But these are cracking !!

The image is stamped in versa mark
then coloured using chalks.
I have not worked with chalks before but am hooked!

The black card circle & image is cut out using
nesties and edged using a gold marker pen.

The white thread is ment to be in a reef knot.
But I pulled it a wee bit hard and you don't see the knot so well.

I carried on the black card with gold edging
inside on the smaller fold of this gate fold card.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My second card is a template card.
We used grey metalic card & mirror card for
the spout & the top bitty.
We used a green ink pad to age the pot.
which is curled a wee bit to make it more 3-D
The leaves are placed behind & over the pot.
I love the wee plant pot and leaves.
We used ink pad to age the pot.
The seed packet and spilling seeds as just dinky.
It has actual seeds glued onto the card.
I enjoyed both these cards.
Missing in action.....
Sorry I haven't been around,
am ok, thank you for all the emails asking if I was alright.
You are all wee honey pies!
And thank you for my pressies and cards that arrived in the post this week.
I promise I will post on here pictures of the beautiful cards you have all made!
{{{{{{{{{{HUGS }}}}}}}}}}
I do not know where the week has gone......
Tuesday card class was fab again, will add on photo's later on.
Wednesday had reflexology and then dog class in the evening......
I put Poppy in the car and after starting it discovered the headlight had blown.
It is so dark here now in the evenings
and it is a country road with no head lights most of the way.
I am ashamed to admit I am a real girl when it comes to car maintenance....
I had no idea how to change the bulb!
Andrew had just left for a night shift, neighbour's hubby was out and next door
didn't know how to do it either....but they was so kind and lent me their car to take
Poppy to her dog class.....the only thing was my car is a heavy diesel scenic
and their lovely wee car was a light petrol one....
so I was trying so hard not to over rev it!
I do not enjoy driving any one else's car.....but we got there. They saved the day!
Thursday....what did I do?
oh weekly blood test......and spent the rest of the day pottering around.
Friday took friend to hospital for a biopsy and it is at least 2 hours drive there and then back.
We did pop into paper mill shop while she was having test and lump removed.
And did a bit of Christmas shopping.
Was shattered today, managed to get a few things done.
But done very little crafting since Tuesday evening class.
I went round to Emma's and made a couple of beaded bits....
not showing here as they are pressies and wee noses might see!!!
My parents are coming tomorrow to take us out for lunch
so not sure I will get anything done then either....have a few bits to do still for Xmas.
hope you are all ok.
much love xxxx
two baubles and a dove
Another good card class again tonight.
One card as always is a bit more work and one is a simple
But although I like both I think the peace stamp & dove card is my fave.
I still have to glue down the bauble inside but I wanted to add some more to the cream insert with the text on it when I got home.
Added to my ever extending list of things to do.
I love the baubles on this card they are circle that have gone through the cuttle bug embossing folder.
The have colour added by using sukra glue on the embossed edges which you leave to dry and then rub with green foils, a bit of wire work for them and they are done.
This is such a beautiful stamp we versa marked and heat embossed.
so pretty and the gold ribbon is just beautiful on it.
I am entering it on This Thursday its all about Challenge.
I really enjoy the classes at Sally's shop.
We always have a right giggle and some of the girls are in their third year of classes so must be good!
It is easy going and I have enjoyed getting to know the girls there.
Friday again.
Can't believe it's the end of the week again!
Got loads done, but nothing that I aimed to do....so mixed week really!
Andrew starts nights shifts again for the first time in 3 years tomorrow after a re-jig at the office.
Not keen on being in alone, but I am sure Poppy will be on guard duty!
Never took pictures of card I made at class on Tuesday, two very different styles as usual.
This was the simple second card we made, we tend to a simple one if first one is a time consumer...
I like this, it is blue pearl card with white core so when you nail filed it it looks so pretty.
I still have to stick some more wee gems on it. Will add to list of things to do.
The ribbon was stamped too and that's something I will do again.
This one took a while to do but is cute!
Its a snow shaker & we used sugar inside!!!
Not a good picture, the acetate don't photograph well!
Still need to put a greeting on this one.
I often don't add greetings till I decided who I am giving them to.
So I tried this at home, using tiny little stars and am pleased with outcome.
Also this week as you may know Sammi has started a new challenge blog and asked myself and three others to be on the DT....yes I will keep reminding you of this fact! LOL
Sammi has a free image to download, you can use this wee fairy lass or any other image you want on the nbew blog so go have a lookie!
I have been playing with images of Angelique and trying to get to grips with new pro-markers.
Has anyone used a blender pen with them? I bought one but haven't tried it out yet.
Thanks Emma for info you emailed me on promarkers.
This is what I have done so far!
And i know it's November and Summer was over before we noticed it was here.....
but I was fed up doing Christmas cards!
Am entering this one on the ABC Challenge, this week being P for pink.
Am off to physio...have not done my arm exercises three times a day like I am ment to...
first week I have been naughty! You know they will know don't you!!!!
And then off to get my hair cut and coloured....
Haven't had highlights put in for a long while,....couldn't be bothered...
not sure what colours I will get this time....
have a great Friday and a lovely weekend
