It's been a while......

As you can imagine, it has been difficult

adjusting to loosing my Mum.

It is true that you don't know

what you have till it's gone.

I haven't done much crafting lately,

have gone to a few craft days,

including two amazing GJWHF days.

But today, I want to share with you

a memory box I made for my Mum.

If you are on my Facebook

you will have seen this already.

There are a fair few photo's.

The lid.

The papers are layered on white card

stock that I inked using distressing inks.

I stamped the image too far up

so you don't see it very well once

the lid is on.

The lid, my favourite bit.

I was really struggling with this new blogger,

Thank goodness Pam told me how to

change it back to the old layout.

Anyway..... enough of my rambles,

Sorry I haven't been around very much.
My Mum was poorly,
and I have been spending a lot of time
with her and just not been in the mood
to do much crafting.
Sadly she died on Friday.

I just wanted to say thank you
for the beautiful cards I have received.

Happy Birthday Mum

My mum is 70 today,
so wanted to make a special boxed card.

The pink roses are made using punched
out 6 petal flowers cut and rolled up.

The same flowers are used on the card
with petals punched from basic gray.
The leaves are punched from vellum.

Behind it, but not easy to see is flower vellum
that I have embossed and held down with brads.

I love the 3D dimensions of this card.
