Bizarre, but enjoyable hybrid film that throws in a little bit of everything: sci-fi, action, adventure, horror, fantasy, stolen ideas from Indiana Jones and even the goddamned Terminator! A fun 90 minutes. 3/5

Really, really dumb Eurociné cheapie that I believe was started by Franco and finished by pornographer Alain Payet. Pretty funny little film. 2/5

One of the best covers on this blog - and the film is not bad either. Fun stone age nonsense with bearlike Eastman in one of his best roles as the villanous Vood (sporting one of the best fur hats in history). Sam Pasco as the hero Ela on the other hand... Yeeesh, I don't think I have ever seen a worse bodybuilder-come-actor before (he makes Kirk Morris look like Marlon Brando) - it's been a long journey but you finally did it, Sammy boy! 3/5

This low budget Jules Vernes-adaption is almost universally loathed, even amongst Jess Franco fans, but I like it: a nice, relaxing adventure film with a fun cast. I think same whale harpooning footage is also used in another loathed spanish adaption of the same Jules Verne story, that I also happen to like: Juan Piquer Simón's Sea Devils. 3/5
