Not really an adventure film per se but a sleazy Eurociné composite that spices up some forgotten 1960s adventure films with sleaze and nudity. A bunch of gals are kidnapped and are shipped off (rape, whipping, bouncing french buttocks, probably a little inserted footage from some old pirate film) to America to become army prostitutes (rape, whipping, bouncing buttocks... sigh... lots of footage of cowboys and indians, storming of forts etc. from the 1960s Eurociné western-adventure The Last of the Mohicans). Typically bland direction, stiff acting and sub par camera work... and as often when watching routine Eurociné sleaze your mind immediately numbs and starts playing "find the stock footage" in self-defense. OK film, I had hoped for more pirate stuff but it played more like a dirty western. The most enjoyable thing for me was seeing that creepy, bald Eurociné regular who always plays rapist as an Indian in warpaint! 2/5

Gianna Maria Canale is great as the masked female pirate in this fun, colorful pirate swashbuckler. Another Costa winner. I don't know if it's healthy for an adult male to be so exited over this type of pulp adventure film for kids, but I don't care! 4/5

Quite nice little action-adventure film about a bunch of survivors of a plance crash in the brazilian jungle who encounters natives, gangsters, wild animals and of course their own greed. The greek VHS print is slightly letterboxed and has the english dub, whereas the Image DVD is fullscreen and in german with english subtitles. 3/5

Another strange genre mixture, here the pirate and the women-in-prison genre finally unite in unholy matrimony! Quite a nice little picture with Angelique star Michèle Mercier as the innocently jailed women in peril and future Franco stalwart Paul Muller as the evil warden. Plus lots of filthy pirates! 3/5

Fun swashbuckler that must have felt old-fashioned even on it's 1961 release. Pretty violent for this kind of film though. Easily confused with another early sicties italian adventure film called Rampage of Evil (Il Capitano di Ferro) starring gothic horror queen Barbara Steele (let me know if you have that one!). 3/5
