12 Days of Creepmas Day 10 With LOC, Smeared Ink and Delicious Darkness

Welcome to the 12 Days of Creepmas! This is a blog hop run by the girls at Smeared Ink and you will find the Blog Roll on my side bar for the duration of the hop. If you have just arrived at me and want to see what it's all about visit Terra (the hostess) at More Smeared Ink and follow the rules to be in with a chance to win! If you are hopping, you should have arrived here from Black Dragon  and Teresa is your next stop!

We have a bumper challenge for you starting today at Left Of Center! To give the girls some time off, we are running this one over two full weeks starting now and we have two sponsors for you!
First up we are paying homage to Delicious Doodles who will be closing their shop doors for the last time on December 31st and we wish Teri all the very best for the future. I have used the Evil Snowman image to create my card. The dp is very old Craftwork Cards, the corner is a memory box die and I've used a sentiment from Create with TLC to finish.
I will enter this card in the Final Hurrah Challenge at Delicious Darkness.

Our next sponsor is Smeared Ink... and purely by coincidence - some of the fabulously dark themed images from Delicious Doodles and Delicious Darkness will continue to be available on Smeared Ink! So we are celebrating that too!
I have created two cards - variations on a theme - which use the Smeared Ink image 'Watchful Eye'. I have coloured with Promarkers and black pencil. The DP on both cards is from Teresa Collins and I've used another sentiment from Create with TLC. The cards are finished with come candi.
I will enter my Watchful Eye cards in the Challenge #1 at Smudgy Antics.

Thanks for looking and I hope you'll have a fabulous Christmas and join in our challenge!

12 Days of Creepmas Day 3 with Delicious Doodles

Welcome to Day 3 of the 12 Days of Creepmas!

My card today is a creepy Christmas card... which looks pretty normal with the Teresa Collins festive paper and Craftwork Cards poinsettia and sentiment. Then you notice that the digi stamp I've used actually has a skull nestled in the holly! This is an image from Delicious Doodles which I've coloured with Promarkers. The card has some red and gold candi to finish.

I will enter this in the following challenges -
Delicious Doodles - Non-Traditional Christmas
Deliciously Dark Challenge - Anything Goes

Take A Step in the Dark!

It's Wednesday, it's September, it's nearly Halloween!!! It's time for another challenge at A Step in the Dark. This fortnight, our sponsor is Delicious Doodles - or Delicious Darkness if you prefer! I have used the 'Angel of Death' image to create a 'Chunky Page'. This is a 4x4 inch work of creativity - I punch to top left corner and have them on a binder ring like a little book.

I have used Promarkers to colour parts of the image and Glossy Accents on the black eye. The image is mounted on purple and black pearlescent papers. The web dye is Cheery Lyn and the gravestones are from Tim Holtz on the edge die. I've finished by edging the whole thing with Black Stickles.

Under the Sea with PunkyouGirl

Good morning! Another post from me today, we have a new challenge at PunkyouGirl for September and the theme is Under the Sea. Our fabulous sponsor for this is Delicious Doodles and we'd love to see what you can create, dark themed remember!
I have used the Scottish Selkie image from Delicious Doodles, coloured with promarkers and mounted on black. The DP is from Graphic 45 An Eerie Tale paper pad, as is the 'magical' motif down the left of the card. The dies are cut using my fabby new Cameo and I've finished with some purple self adhesive pearls and black lace.
I will enter this in the first Deliciously Dark Challenge from Delicious Doodles - Anything Goes.

Water Everywhere at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges

It's been a while since I posted on a Saturday! Hiya folks! But this will be a regular thing! Some of you might be aware that I recently joined the 'Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges' Design Team and today is my first post! We are on Challenge #14 - Water Water Everywhere and I really hope you will join us!

This fortnight our sponsors are -

I have used the Steampunk Mermaid image from Delicious Doodles and coloured her with Promarkers. I coloured a 6x6 white card using Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Broken China Distress inks to match the image colours. I edged both the card and image using Black Soot. The sentiment stamps are Paper Smooches stamped in Black Archival Ink. The bubbly background card has been in my stash for approximately 12 years - this is guess based on the fact that my son just turned 13!!! I've finished with some black card Candi from Craftwork Cards.

Fairy Challenge at Left of Center and news!!!

We have some fabulous news for you all over at the Left of Center Challenge Blog! As of the new challenge starting today - we are going weekly!!! Yes, that's right, there will be a brand new challenge every Friday starting from today. This means you only have 7 days to get your 'Fairies' creation ready for today's challenge.

We are sponsored by Delicious Doodles and I have used the 'Steampunk Fairy' image for my card today. I have coloured her with pencils rather than my usual Promarkers just for a change. She is mounted on a Spellbinders Floral Oval with some platinum gilding wax around the embossed edges.
I have used papers from the Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells paper pads and lots of black pearlescent paper for layering. The card is finished with some black lace and card candi.

I will enter this in the current challenge at Delicious Doodles - Anything Goes with a DD image!

666 The Number of the Beast!

My hubby is a huge Iron Maiden fan and when I saw the name of the latest challenge at Haunted Design House I knew I had to play along. But it went further down my 'to do' list as the week went on and with only a few hours to spare, here's my card for the challenge!
I have used the Beastly Paper Pack from Delicious Doodles and the Rick St Dennis image 'Amulet'. The main image is coloured using Promarkers with extra detailed added using my WH Smith blendable pencils. The image is fussy cut and mounted on black pearlescent paper. The sentiments are printed from Word and inked with Fired Brick and Black Soot.

I printed out the rams head background paper and sections from the two other papers in the pack. On the background I used my Promarkers and blew on the thick end of the pen to create a splattered effect in various colours. I've done the same on the 666 spirals. The rams head in the corner, sentiments and '666'paper behind the main sentiment have been tinted/edged with Fired Brick and Black Soot DI too. I've added some black web ribbon to finish.

The more I look at the card photo here - I wish I'd cut down the '666' sentiment a bit smaller but I didn't want to lose the font! And it's too dark here now to take another photo!

I will enter this in the following challenges:
Haunted Design House - 666 The Number of the Beasts
613 Avenue Create - #78 Anything Goes
Ditzie Digi Designs - Anything Goes
Lacy Sunshine - #36 Anything Goes
The Corrosive Challenge - #202 Colour me Happy (I love my Promarkers!!)

Skully Tag!!

Ok, so another quick post from me today, it's Thursday and there's only a few hours left to join in the Delicious Doodles challenge for this week - 'On the Dark Side' and I have had this tag sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks now... It was supposed to have been posted already for a tag swap... it will be in the mail first thing in the morning! Ooops!

So I have used a Kraft Tag from Craftwork Cards, embossed it with a skull and bones folder and tinted it with Fired Brick and Black Soot Distress Inks. The 'Pile o Bones' image is from Delicious Doodles and I haven't added anything to it, just stuck it down and cut it to fit. The other image is a Zombie Pirate also from Delicious Doodles and I have highlighted his bandana and necktie with red Promakers. He's been mounted onto black pearlescent paper and attached with 3d foam to make him pop.... well, as much as a dead zombie pirate can pop! The tag is finished with red and black organza ribbons and black sticky pearls.
I will enter this tag in the following challenges:
Delicious Doodles - On the Dark Side
Haunted Design House - Ripped to Ribbons
Crafty Catz - Embossing

Things With Wings at PunkyouGirl

We have a fabulous challenge going on at PunkyouGirl this month! 'Things With Wings' is the theme and Delicious Doodles/Delicious Darkness are the sponsors!

I have used Teri's amazing 'Ivy Fairy' image, there's fabulous detail and shading on here so I didn't add too much colour. I've added Ice Greys to the wings, lilac and lavendar to her hair, blush and some darker tones for the skin and some fabulous greens for the foliage - all in Promarkers. I've distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool and added Black Soot DI around the edges. The layered papers are from the most recent Do Crafts Gorjuss release - both the 8x8 papers and A4 die cut pack. The flourishes are Cheery Lynn and I've finished with tiny gems.
I am entering this card in the following challenges -
Delicious Doodles - #88 A Bit Moody
Craftitude - #65 That's Die-licious (Use a Die - Cheery Lyn Fanciful Flourish)
Crafts 4 Eternity - To Die For
QKR Stampede - #88 Punch or Die
Sister Act Card Challenge - #57 Anything Goes
ABC Challenge - L is for Lots of Layers

M is for Mom at Crafting by Designs

This week at Crafting by Designs we are celebrating US mother's day. Our sponsor for this is Delicious Doodles and if you join in you might be lucky enough to win a wee prize! Come and check out the blog for the team's inspirational projects!

I have used a Frame digi from Delicious Doodles and the sentiment was a freebie from them too. I've coloured this with Promarkers and fussy cut the frame, mounting it on a Spellbinder Fluer De Lis Frame. The papers are from a magazine freebie edged with Picked Raspberry DI with some white opal Liquid Pearls added too. The ribbon at the bottom was made with the same papers and my We R Memory Keepers Envelope punch board - the lovely Jackie Cornfield makes fabulous bows and directed me to YouTube for a tutorial! Thanks Jackie! The centre is a rolled rose tinted with the same DI.

Tickled Pink!

Two of my favourite challenge blogs/digi artists - Ike's Art and Delicious Doodles - are going pink this fortnight for Breast Cancer Awareness! I figured I'd best join in!

I have used the 'Vaguely Goth' image from Ike's Art and the Awareness Ribbon which is from a freebie 'Awareness' set from Delicious Doodles. The challenges on both blogs are to go Pink... which is so not like me!! I usually colour this image with purple hair and lots of black as the name suggests but even she is sporting some pink eyeshadow and lipstick for the occasion, having dyed her hair all shades of Promarker Pinks!

I've used freebie papers from a crafty mag. The picket fence die from Memory Box and the frame is Spellbinders. I have used the current sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday2 so will be entering my card in their challenge too!

Challenges -
Ike's World Challenge - Tickled Pink - winner!
Delicious Doodles - Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness - spotlight
Sweet Sketch Wednesday2 - Sketch #011 - Top3!!!
Crafting Musketeers - #12 Monochrome

Favourite Books at Left of Center

It's midway reminder time at Left of Center! Our current challenge is 'Favourite Books' and is sponsored by Delicious Doodles! I have used 'The Raven' to create this wall hanging and I have used items from the 'Tic-Tac-Poe' board over at Quoth The Raven, Nevermore, so I will be entering this in their current challenge.
I printed the image and inked up a large acrylic block with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, spritzed the ink with water and pressed this directly on top of the image to give a mottled coloured background - the edges are inked with black soot. The 6x6 chipboard was painted with Tim Holtz Bronze Distress Paint, stamped round the edges with black archival ink and a TH stamp and then a bouquet of flowers added. The whole thing was then sprayed with Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls mixed with water to give a pearly sheen (not that you would notice in this light!)

There are pins in the bouquet (Metal?!), paint and ribbon to hang the project - top line of the board. Or, it is 3D and has flowers along with the ribbon is a diagonal!
As well as joining in at QTR, I will be entering this at the current Delicious Doodles Challenge - Black plus one other colour - brown(s)!

Bloody Valentine Blog Hop with Smeared and Smudged Day 3

Welcome to the third and final day of the Bloody Valentine Blog Hop arranged by Smeared and Smudged.

My third project is quite a Clean and Simple card. I bought this fabulous image from Delicious Doodles after seeing it on a card by Wendy and thinking it was a great image, and it totally is! I printed it larger than I expected, coloured it with various red Promarkers, some green, browns and black for the blood and blood pool! I used a dark red 6x6 card base and stamped it randomly with the Visible Image 'Ripped Fishnets' background stamp and used a black inkpad on the edges of the card and the stamped image.

And then, nothing looked right on the card with it! I played about with some bits and for most of the day, the image has sat on the background and looked great as it was. And so I left it as it was - of course, as fate would have it, I glued the image on squinty!!

Now, If you are hopping the next stop is Fiona. If you have joined me randomly, why not jump back to the start and see what else is on offer! Here's the blog roll -

Hearts and Harelquins for February at PunkyouGirl

Another wee post from me today! It's the start of a new challenge at PunkyouGirl and the theme for February is 'Hearts and Harlequins'. This month we are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps and I have chosen the 'Emo Valentine Fairy' by Teresa Sherman of Delicious Doodles to work with.

We are low on team members just now for various reasons so I've created two inspiration cards for this post.... I did cheat a bit though! Being short on time, I coloured the image with promarkers and coated it in Triple Thick to give a glossy finish - its my favourite thing just now!! And rather than adhere permanently to one card, I used a couple of tiny foam pads (Candi Fix from Craftwork Cards) and I was able to peel the image off and try it out on my second card! I'm sure I'll do another image for the other card when I have the time!

So my first card uses a white with silver foiling card blank from Kanban that I dug out my stash and covered with Fired Brick and Black Soot distress ink using a foam blending tool. I added black pearlescent paper behind the aperture and more Triple Thick to the blackened heart from the centre. I have finally gotten hold of the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch which forms the border along the top and I've hand written the sentiment.
For my second card, I have a black 6x6 card with red and black core-dinations. The black square is embossed using a Tim Holtz valentine embossing folder and the red is embossed with the Sizzix Swiss Dots folder. I've wrapped some red raffia (left over from Christmas!) around the card with a large bow and added the image.
I am entering this card into this week's challenge at Delicious Doodles - Love (good or bad!) also -
Cute Card Thursday - Lots of Love
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Love is in the air
Little Red Wagon - #223 Love
Nutcrafters - #61 A Little Bit of Love

Challenge #22 New Beginnings at Left of Center

This fortnight's challenge at Left of Center Creative Challenges is themed 'New Beginnings' and is sponsored by Delicious Doodles. I had the privelege of working with the 'A Mother's Love' image and created a New Baby Boy card.

The image is coloured using promarkers and the papers were a freebie from a magazine last year - I just thought the blues worked well with the image. The ribbon and flowers are from my stash and the sentiment is Craftwork Cards.

I will enter this card into this Week's Challenge at Delicious Doodles Challenges - the theme is 'Layer up'! I have lots of layers with dps, doily, ribbon and lots of 3d foam!

I hope you can join us for this challenge!
