Reflections on Chisty Prudy (Clean Ponds)
Photo made on Chistoprudny boulevard (boulevard on Clean ponds). Actually it is one pond.
The name goes to 18 century, when in 1703 it was added to the estate of prince Alexander Menshikov and was cleaned up. Before that time, in 17th century, it was "Foul pond" as nearby butchers' shops were dumping waste into it.

Vorontsovsky Park
This place is known as the manorial estate of Vorontsov family. The estate flowering falls on the 18th -19th century. During the Soviet era mansion was destroyed and what we see today - the result of restoration work, completed in 2007.
The church was restored a little earlier, in the early 90's of 20th century.
Nice place in the south-west of Moscow with cascade of ponds.

Would you believe it's Moscow DP?
As I told you a while back, Moscow-river is usually dark grey or nasty brown. But there was a day when the sky was of so rich a colour that even waters of Moscow-river looked surprisingly blue. And the boat happened to be tied at the bank.
The scene looked so far was typical Moscow landscape!

Moscow river
Last Monday was so great that even Moscow river looked blue in the center of the city! It can be counted next to miracle, I believe.

Upside down
There are few ponds in Kolomenskoe park. On a fine day the water can be so still, so glassy that you can't tell a difference between reflections and reality.

Fontain
Oh, what a monstrous thunder-storm we had last night! It was all lightning! and rumbling! and water-falling! It was loud and scaring.
Though, the photo is not about nature powers but about fontain at Pushkin's square.

Trubetskie's park
This morning I was passing by a park I never even knew about! For what I could see through the railing, I was absolutely charmed with its walks and channels. I guess, this park was a part of Trubestkie's estate in Khamovniki (now the district withihn Moscow city).

Our company is about to move to another office. That means we have all the pre-move craziness around here. So I chose this photograph to bring a bit of harmony into my today. It was taken at Chistye Prudy, in the middle of the city, and there is no fish in those ponds but, I guess, it doesn't matter for those guys.

One more photo of a hot summer day in Sokolniki park. People enjoy staying by water, and I enjoy watching them.

Melting
With temperature about 0C dirty Moscow snow is melting leisurely. Can it mean spring settling over here? Can it really be true? I can't believe but can not wait to welcome it! Oh, spring, may you be quick this year!
P.S. Another photo on my extension site.

Today is the birthday of my beloved husband. On this occasion I chose that out-of-season photograph to express my best wishes to him.
Darling, may sun shines through your days filling them with endless light and joy! And let your life sparkle with happy events of every rate like fontain sprays on a bright sunny day!

As I read your comments on my yesterday's post, I realized that you took it for photo of a pathway. I should have explained that! It was not a trail but a narrow channel, kind of drainage for ponds system. Here is the closer view, can you see water surface covered with fallen leaves?
P.S. And even closer view on my extension site.
