Souvenirs
These treasures are shining in the showcases in the passages of Expocentre, exhibition complex. You can buy or be blinded by glitter or make a photo, as I did.

Bauhaus in Gorki Park
Renovation of Gorki park includes the construction of new open-air cinema. You see here the back side of the screen. According to the explanations of the Bauhaus architect (you can see her in the photo), the screen will be rolled up between the movies, so the audience would enjoy the greenery decoration.
I have to be back there in December..

Decoration
Scared? When I saw these two kids at the entrance to the subway station "Rimskaya" (Roman), I was scared too.
But there is no reason to fear. The info from Wiki explains it all:
It is new station and was constructed in 1995. Italian architects J.P. Imbrigi and A. Quatrocci were in charge of the station decoration. The theme was "Roman attractions". The sculpture portrays infants Romulus and Remus - the founders of Rome.

New Year Decorations
The New Year tree near Kievsky railroad station (you can see the tower of the station in the background).
Behind the tree to the right you see the corner of new shopping mall, very special architecture (link to the site of the mall where you can see it in full beauty).
Few days ago they asked us here why we called this tree New Year tree, not Christmas tree. Very simple. During 70 years we did not have religion (well, we had the H-o-l-y but his surname was Lenin, and most of our problems now are because 7 generations of Soviets did not believe, to my point of view).
That is why it was logical to call it New Year tree.

Moscow Yards
Part of the interior of the restaurant yard at Solzhenitsyn street.
This part of the restaurant is located outdoors and preparing for the winter. The furniture was removed, the wall decorations was still there. I was caught by the unexpected combination of colors and the old photos.
And the view of the main restaurant building. Renovated mansion of 19th century.

Under the Sun
I made this photo in Moscow State Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts named after S.Stroganov ( who founded it in 1825). I am sure this girl is famous artist or designer to be. Or both.
The circle in the upper part of the window holds the "1920-1927 VHUTEMAS" inscription, the name of the school in first years after revolution.
The second photo is the decoration around the side stairs inside the building. Very artistic.

Tea House on Miasnitskaya Street
Tea house on Miasnitskaya (Google map) was constructed in 1890 by merchant S.Perlov as tea and coffee shop on ground floor and apartments above. The decoration in Chinese style was added in 1896 to please the Chinese tea trader and to win the contract for tea delivery. The contract was never won, but the place became so popular among Moscovites that quickly compensated all expenses for decoration.
In Soviet times the apartments were divided in communal flats (in which kitchen and toilet facilities are shared by several families) one window = one flat = one family. Nowadays the house is rented by the descendants of the owner.
