*waves*

Oh, dear. Just not into this blogging 'thing' lately, I'm afraid. :(

Can't say it's for any particular reason either, other than general 'winter has gone on MUCH MUCH TOO LONG now' malaise that is probably affecting almost all of us in the northern hemisphere. Busy with work, yes, as always, but things are moving along as normal otherwise.

Figured I should get in here before TOO much time goes by and I forget how to do it all together. Plus, I had a stack of  this hanging around that I'd like to put away:

Blogging or no blogging, I still pile finished things up to be photographed. It's like they aren't TRULY done unless their existence has been logged online in some fashion. That's a little sad, I think. I mean we DID 'exist' in our pre-online lives, didn't we? (And you can just shush if you are reading this and too young to have ever had a chance at a pre-online life, ok? We do not like young whippersnappers poking at our older selves. lol)

Thanks to some tv-binge-watching (both seasons of House of Cards in EIGHT days! Eight!) I've actually been plugging right along on a bunch of things. Most of the individual photos I went for came out cringe-inducing awful though. Grrrrr. I only managed to take a decent picture of my newest pillow finishes:

Sadly, I did not put these 'together' in time for the holiday this year but I did finish STITCHING them in time. That has to count for.............something? I could only dig up two other appropriate smalls for this holiday so I figured it well past time I did a few more. The heart pattern is from a designer I saw on Etsy and the other two are freebies from The Primitive Hare. Used random scraps of linen and bits and bobs of lace and what not that I could scrounge out of my craft closet.

I'll have to retake the photos of Most Hated Socks Ever and my L*K stockings. :)

I'm going to end this with another clover pic. A day late, of course, but I have a sweet spot for this holiday. For one, it's ridiculously easy to celebrate (wear green!) and comes with really tasty food and, two, I just plain ole like the color green. We need more fun, color-based holidays! :)

So many kittens....

So little time for hobbies lately!

Wow, these guys keep you busy. Think I've got a bit of 'twin' syndrome going on. Get one happy and satisfied and then the other one starts crying for attention, so  you get that one happy and satisfied, and then the other starts in again....................repeat repeat repeat.

There have been a few tummy and litter box troubles this week, especially with this one:
He may be a boy but he's a big baby who seems to be a lot more delicate than his tough-as-nails sister. (Big, whiny baby too because woooowweeeeeee does he like to whine!) We stuck with our original names of Fitzgerald/Fitz and Olivia/Livvy for them...........but are mostly called Pooh Bear and Peepers because, well, that's what they do. :)

Lots of blogiversaries around this month but I got y'all beat with my regular blog (Livejournal) anniversary a few days ago:

  • 3,542 journal entries
  • 27,235 comments posted

THIRTEEN YEARS. Yep. Over a decade. That's kinda crazy, right?

I'm journal 11,375 out of almost 40 million. Been using it mostly as a food blog lately, writing up my adventures with the Fresh 20 weekly meal plans. (Love the plans but have to tweak them a fair amount to suit my tastes/boost the veggie portions a little.) There's no sense in giving it up either because my early adopter/permanent account automatically gives me all the upgrades (and zero ads) for free forever - or until it's shut down. I'm not going to pass up FREE  now, am I?

Will be interesting to see if I can make it another thirteen years. :)

Random Tuesday.

 Nothing to see here...
Clearance Felici striped yarn from Knitpicks.

 *cough*cough*cough*
I, like, needed the darning egg though.

That big 'for me' Black Friday purchase?

(Not my house.)

An official Ass Kicking Machine aka rower.

I loves me some exercise machines, man! ESPECIALLY ones that fold up, like this one, AND it was on lightening deal for cheap-cheap. He joins the line up along with my skier, treadmill and Pilates reformer. (Though I'm mostly off that last one so I think it's on it's way out.) I always loved the rowing machines the most a long, long time ago when I had a gym membership. (A long, looooooooong time ago.) Not sure why but I did. It's kinda fun and it kinda kicks your ass without you realizing it. lol You use it and get a little out of breath but feel fine otherwise.........until you try to stand up and realize you don't have LEGS THAT WORK ANYMORE. Haha! It sneaks up and POW! You're dead. Maximum work out for minimum amount of time = appeals to my ultra-lazy self. I'll take that over walking on the treadmill for an hour. :)

I was seriously behind on blog reading but have been trying to catch up the last couple days. I'm tackling it in blocks of ten posts at a time. lol
You can't say I'm not a dedicated follower/commenter! :)
