Kit and Clowder Christmas card swap

Happy New Year everyone!

I just want to tell you about this amazing lady....Alyce from Kit and Clowder. She is leading this facebook-group of the most amazing girls. It is so great to be a part of this community.  There is allways some backing up no matter what you struggle with and they allways cheer on you if you have great things going on.

She is also doing online colouring classes. And i just have to say they really makes a difference in your colouring technique. If you want to check it out you can find it here

It`s not only colouring we do. There is bingo weekend every first weekend of the month, there are challenges, there is a book club for those who want to join in. And lots more. Among one of the things we do is swapping stuff, lol. And the card below is the one i entered in this last years Christmas card swap.

I had to restart colouring 3-4 times as i managed to muck things up. I guess you can understand the relief i felt when i finally finished the image without any huge flaws, lol. It`s been a while since i coloured and my confidence is not on top i`m afraid. Anyway...here it is.

This card was sent to Chris Neal across the big pond to USA. I hope she liked it.

Last challenge at My Besties Norway.

Hi everyone!

We have reached a crosspath over at My Besties Norway. Our DT leader has decided step down and close the blog so this will be our last challenge for now. I`ve also decided to step down so i won`t be back if or when the team is gathering in the future. So i want to thank you all for beeing such wonderful supporters for our team and challenge. It has been a blast visiting you.

Well...let`s get down to buisness. This last challenge is a nice and easy one.

ANYTHING GOES

For this one i`ve used IMG102. Isn`t she a total cutie. I just adore her.

The colours used are:

Skin: Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan, Sunkissed pink for cheeks and Coral for lips.
Eyes: Umber, Rose wood (FM), Chestnut, Terracotta
Dress and hat: Slate, Winter berry, Iced pearl, Soft Mauve (FM) Ice grey #1,3 and 5

Hair: Cocoa, Saffron, Mustard, Buttercup
Flowers, Forest green, Pear green, Coral, Sunkissed pink, Sand dune, Dusky rose
Bow and basket: Pineapple crush, Eggnog, Primrose, Mustard, Tan

I created this flower just by using some flower shaped bling i had laying around and finished it off by gluing a pearl on top. Just love the look, lol.

Resin element from Prima.

I find these big beads so beautiful and just had to incorporate them somehow. Just love the colour.

This gorgeous sentiment is from a digi element pack designed by Michelle Roos available here.

Cloud Lily canvas

Hi everyone!

Mona has done something she doesn`t know how to do, lol. I`ve created my first canvas using this totally adorable Cloud Lily from Ppinkydolls

I was so scared that i was going to muck things up, but i`m so pleased with the end result. I`m just so sorry that the pics doesn`t do it justice. If i have had any idea of how much fun this would be, i would have tried this much earlier, lol.

I`m warning you right now....this is going to be a pictureheavy post. I`m just a bit bummed by the fact that i missed the daylight and my flash killed allmost every pic i tried to take. But it will have to do.

I started to colour in the image. Cloud Lily from Ppinkydolls. Using my fabby ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. As it has been sometime without colouring i`m just starting to figure out how to use them again. I can tell you...colouring i just like fresh goods. It has to be maintained or it gets degraded after a while, lol.

Colours i used:

Skin: Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan, and Sunkissed pink for cheeks.
Lips got some Coral
Hair: Aubergine, Amethyst, Winter berry, Pink Pearl
Outfit and wings: Baby pink, Pink mittens, Antique white
Cloud: Ice grey #1 trough 5
Shoes: Umber, Warm grey #2 and 4
Eyes: Azure, Cool aqua

I started with decoupaging the image to the canvas. Next i did the same thing to some paper pieces randomly placed onto the canvas. Sorry they don`t show too well. I know where they are, so i see them but i don`t think you can tell, lol.

Next up is the stencils. I used some texture paste to make some texture. I used a text stencil and a honeycomb stencil. You can see the text at the side of the canvas, on the image below. The honeycomb you can see on the first pic on the left side. For some extra texture i mixed sand in the gesso as well.

I then added some lace from my stash. I mixed my own blend of acrylic paint from white and purple. Blending it to a lavenderlooking kind of colour. Which i used painting all the sides and selected areas on the top.

I also painted the chipboard frame with white acrylic paint. The frame is the Circle flourish chipboard frame from Make it Crafty. I don`t know if it is available any longer though. I tried to find a link to it but it seems like the shop only contains stamps now. When it had dried i glued it onto the canvas.

Next i glued on all my items of choice. I have flowers from Prima and Storyteller, Leaf from Wild Orchid Crafts. Metal embelishments from Prima and Korthobby.

When it all had dried i painted the whole thing with gesso and finally spritzed averything with mists from Lindy`s Stamp Gang. I made sure to heat-set it all between every colourchange so it didn`blend too much. I absolutely love all the shimmer. Here is the list of stuff from Lindy`s i used:

Startbursts:
Gag me with a spoon of grey
Jazzy Jivin` Purpple
Golden Lump o`cool (dark grey with gold shimmer)
Soft Water Taffy (pink)

I also used Cactus gold (Glitz spritz) and Golden sleigh bells (Magicals)

The lightbulbe (under) is from Junkyard findings by Prima. Under the flower you also can see some banners from Melissa Frances. The star on the left is also from the same company. The key is also Prima. I`m not sure but i think the heart maybe from Korthobby. If not, i`m sure you`ll help me correct it, lol.

The Resin corner is from Prima`s Shabby Chic Treasures and the bird and branch is a metal-embellishment form Korthobby.

For the finishing touches i added some bling, pearls and stickles glitter glue here and there. I also tuched up some small areas with the golden sleigh bells magicals from Lindy`s. And that sweet tile from Prima as the last little "must have" thingy.

Here`s a last look at this sweetie from Ppinkydolls Art. I hope you have enjoyed my little tale about this canvas. Well at least i hope i didn`t bore you to death, lol.Hope i did`t forget anything, lol. Don`t hesitate to ask me if there is something you are wondering about. I will try and help you as best as i can.

Thanks for visiting me.

Favourite colour combo at WhoopsiDaisy

Hi everyone!

It`s been a while since i last posted anything in my blog. I`ve had a good long holiday from crafting and i`m starting the new year with newfound inspiration. The main issue is the time aspect. With my job and silly workhours it`s not so much time left to get crafty. But i love crafting and try as best as i can to make time.

This year i start with the new challenge over at WhoopsiDaisy. The theme set for the challenge is

Favourite colour combo

The image i have used is available on sheet #506 which is one of the newest sheets in the WhoopsiDaisy Shop

I actually don`t have a favourite colour combo as much as i just love the combination of colours with the vintage / shabby chic style. Allthough i love the combo with the pink and brown together.

Hair: Umber, Roewood (FM), Burnt orange
Dress: Antique pink, Dusky rose, Tea rose (FM)

Other colours: Olive green, Pear green

The sentiment and most of the dies is from Marianne Design except the scalloped one i used for the image which i a Sizzix one. All the Designpapers are from the Maja Designs Vintage spring basics collection.

The array of flowers is from WOC, Mulberry crafts and Kort & Godt.

Here is a list of the dies i`ve used:

Utfordring #24 hos ProMarker Norge

Heisann folkens!

Velkommen over!

Hud: Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Sunkissed pink, Tan
HÃ¥r: Cocoa, Mustard, Buttercup, Saffron
Øyne: Midnight blue, Arctic blue
Kjole/sko/sløyfer: Shale, Burgundy, Berry red, Lipstick red

Challenge #3 at My Besties Norway

Hi everyone!

It`s so much fun to see how many of you out there entering our challenges at My Besties Norway. It has been beyond our wildest dreams, lol. We really appreciate your support and all the wonderful creations we get to see every time. You are the best.

Well...now we are ready with challenge #3. It`s a nice and easy one, lol. Theme set for this time is:

Use some kind of dies

The image i have used for today`s challenge you can find here.
I have kept the colours in a fall theme as i am in that kind of mood at the time. I just love the fall. Such beautiful colours all around us, don`t you think?

The dies i have used are Fleur de Lis squares by Spellbinders and Border Craftable CR1250 by Marianne Design. I`m sorry but i couldn`t find any link to where it`s available. I got it in a DT pack a little while ago.

I have tried blending some new colours and the result you can see on her clothes and bow. Colours i normally wouldn`t think could go well together but i`m really surprised and happy they did.

Colours used are:

Skin: Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan, Sunkissed pink
Hair: Rosewood (FM), Terracotta, Spice, Honeycomb
Eyes: Emerald, Green, Mint green
Lips: Budding rose, Pink mittens
Top/Tights/Bow: Rosewood (FM), Burnt orange, Peach
Shorts: Firewood, Grey squirrel, Pastel beige
Cat: Ice grey #1,2 and 5, Budding rose, Pink mittens
For white highlights i used Sakura gelly roll pen

Here i just rolled up some string, made a bow and put on a brown rose. Just real simple.

I used some different kind of papers for this one. They are from Websters Pages, Marianne Design and G45.

Please stop by our challengeblog over at My Besties Norway and join in on the fun. Remember you don`t have to use a My Besties image to enter but we would sure love it if you do. Also...The candy has been drawn so make sure to check it out if you have entered.
