Ooooops! I Did It Again... *lol*

And this time I did it with Malsen og Mor`s Shetland Soft. =)

The yarn is a bit waxy and it took me a while to get used to... But it was a good knitting and turned out beautiful after washing! =)

Pattern: Rose Red by Ysolda Teague.
Usage: ca. 70 gr. Shetland Soft - two threads held together on 4mm needles.

Just LOVE Them Roses! *lol*

Another Rose hat has been born. This is my third contribution in the summer-contest at Strikk innom!

This hat is knitted up in Dolce from Cascade yarns. A beautiful soft blend of alpaca, merino and silk! It`s not that easy to see on the photos, but it shows off the cables and pattern very well.

Pattern: Rose Red by Ysolda Teague.
Usage: ca. 94 gr. Dolce from Cascade yarns on 4mm needles.

And here is... Oh, well - yes, it IS another Rose hat... *lol*
I just love this pattern - it`s so well written, and the hats turn out beautiful in every yarn I choose! What`s not to love? =)

This one is knitted in Kirkcaldy 2-ply wool bought at Malsen og mor. This was ment as a gift, but I like it so much I might just keep it... *lol*

Just for me! *yey*

Finally, I found the time to knit wristwarmers for myself! =)

Not that I don`t have plenty, of course..., but I wanted to make my lovely set in Sublime Angora-Merino complete! <3

In January I knitted the beautiful hat Rose Red designed by Ysolda Teague. I loved it so much I also designed a matching neckwarmer. And for two months now, I have used this set almost every day, while my inner knitter has tried to work out just how I want the matching wristwarmers to look. *lol*

It was obvious that it had to have the big cable from the Rose hat, but that was all I knew... Untill I saw the beautiful Yummy Mummy Wristwarmers designed by Alexandra Brinck, on tesha`s blog and on Ravelry. But after I looked at the pattern, I saw that there had to be lots of changes to make this fit my DK-weight yarn... And I didn`t want the twisted ribbing and the slipped stitches, and the cables were too small... So I ended up using the idea with the two big cables (over 7 stitches) in the middle and the two smaller cables (over 3 stitches) on the sides of the front - and a thumb gusset. That`s it. *lol*

And here`s the result! <3

Not the best pictures, I`m afraid, but they`ll have to do. I put a cardboard-figure I cut out to "fill" the glove in the right wristwarmer - so that you better can see how it looks on the hand. =)
I am quite pleased with them, but if I make another pair, I will make the thumb gusset differently and less enormous... *lol*

Pattern: my own - based on the image of the Yummy Mummy Wristwarmers.
Usage: about 46 grams Sublime Angora-Merino on 3mm needles - a bit small for this yarn...

I just love it!!! =)

PS! It just struck me - is the correct word for these perhaps fingerless gloves and not wristwarmers? They *do* have a thumb... Hm...

Venezia again! =)

Resultatet ser du her:

Mønster: Garter Stitch Mittens
Forbruk: ca. 75 gram tynn alpakka dobbel tråd - bare rester.

-----------
Pattern: Garter Stitch Mittens
Usage: ca. 75 gram thin alpaca two strands held togheter - only left-overs.

Mønster: Rose Red by Ysolda Teague
Forbruk: ca. 90 gram Venezia Worsted fra Cascade på pinne 4 mm.
Gave... =)

-----
This Rose hat is knitted in Cascades Venezia Worsted. I am not used to yarn divided in different weight types, so I just now discovered that the name for this yarn is Venezia - and that it is Worsted weight... That explains why there`s only about 12 grams left of the 100 grams skein... *lol*

This yarn really shows off the beautiful pattern - each stitch shows! =)

A gift... =)
