Juhlissa - Party

Tänään oli koulun joulujuhla. Hauskoja, liikuttavia, jännittyneitä, reippaita, ihania lauluja ja näytelmiä... On aina mukavaa päästä katsomaan lasten joulujuhlatouhuja. Vaikka ääntä saisikin välillä olla enemmän. Mutta kiitos taas lapsille! Enää pari päivää ja sitten ansaittu kahden viikon loma!

It was school's Christmas party today. Funny, touching, excited, brisk, lovely plays and songs. It is always to nice to get to see the children showing their skills and things they have prepared for us. Even though sometimes I need louder voices... But thanks for the kids again! Only two days school left and then they will have well earned holiday for two weeks! 

This picture is a scam. I haven't baked mince pies yet. Perhaps in the weekend.

Keiju-seinämaalaus - Fairy wallpainting

Tänään vietettiin tyttären 7-vuotissynttäreitä, ja tottahan täytekakkua piti olla! Ensimmäisen kerran kokeilin tuota ristikkopintaa ja siitä tuli tosi hauska! Ja kakku oli myös hyvää - nam.

Today we celebrated our daughter's 7th birthday, and of course I had to make a cake! This was the first time that I tried to make that weaved pattern with cream, and it was fun to make! Of course the cake was delicious too.. yum!

Maalasin tytölle seinälle keijukaisen synttärilahjaksi, hänellä on niitä jo ennestään kolme, tästä neljännestä tuli onnistunein. Malli on netistä, tyttö ihastui tähän asentoon jossain kuvassa. Keksin, että maalaan tämän vuoden aikana lisää keijuja, niin että niitä on yhteensä seitsemän, ja sitten teen joka synttäreillä yhden uuden, niin pitkään kun hän keijuista tykkää... Samoin toiselle tytölle. Heidän huoneidensa seinille olen maalannut kukkaköynnöksiä, niiden seassa keijut lentelevät. I painted her a fairy on her wall as a birthday present, she had three of them already, and this fourth is the best of them. I found the picture in the internet, my daughter loved this pose when se saw the picture. I got an idea to paint more fairies this year, seven alltogether, and then every birthday I will paint one more, as long as she still likes fairies... I will do the same in her sister's room. I have painted floral murals on their walls, and the fairies are flying between the climber plants.
