Firing up the Grill

It has been a while since we last grilled but last weekend we fired up our grill.

Last weekend was a big one for us since we were anticipating the college football game of the century. We were getting ready for LSU-Alabama game. We are big fans of LSU so it was a big day for us.

Dave offered to grill and gave me a break from cooking. He grilled T-bone steaks, asparagus and mushroom & onion.

Grilled food and a winning team. It was a fun Saturday for us!

Football Season Almost Over

I can't believe that football season is almost over. Though my favorite team LSU will not be playing for SEC Conference Title nor BCS ball game, I am still happy that they end up 10-2 on their record. The way they started playing and with all those clock management issues, who could believe that they will end up to have a winning season? I know there were far too many controversies on their games but well that's a game win or lose and no excuses!

I admit, football is really addicting. We always spend our Saturdays watching the game. Most of the games are televised on local channels or ESPN so we can flick our channels to whichever game we want to see. I am glad we have directv at home so we are able to watch different sports show.

When I applied for our cable services, I made sure that the direct tv package that I will get was the one with sports channels (included). Hubby and I like watching different sports so we needed that kind of package. As the football season soon to end, we can't wait for the bowl games, championship game and of course who would want to miss the Superbowl!

If you have problems with your sports channel you better check out the direct tv packages before football season ends or you will miss the real action in the world of football.

Super Bowl Feast

It is Superbowl! Usually, people will eat pizza, wings, or all those party platters that are sold by different stores. For us, we wanted a feast for our Superbowl.

Since it is Superbowl, we didn't have any other plans but to watch the game. We watched the pregame show, the game itself and the post game show. We were loving it since the New Orleans Saints won!

I cooked steak, mushroom and onions, and french fries during the half time. At the third quarter of the game we had our dinner while watching it.

It was a great day.. good food, good football game... and great family bonding....

Our favorite... T-Bone! We love steak dipped in A1 Sauce

Mushroom and Onion cooked in Butter

Steak Fries dipped in Ketchup

2010 BCS Champion

Today ends the football season. I so enjoyed the football games and it will be long months without football games again. Sometimes, I can't imagine myself how much I became a football fan. To think that I never knew what football is before I came here 3 years ago, it is somewhat amazing...

Anyway, The Crimson Tide of Alabama is the 2010 BCS Champion. They deserved it for they played well. I just wish that McCoy didn't get injured it would have been a better game. Nonetheless, Crimson Tide won it and congratulations to all the BAMA fans!

Well, it has been a wonderful year of football sports and I am looking forward to another season.

SEC Championship

We woke up earlier than our usual weekend wake up time. We are excited for today's championship game.

In few hours, the game will be on. SEC Championship.... who do you think will win? Gators or Crimson Tide?

We will surely be in front of our TV cheering and saying... GO GATORS!!!!

Update:
Alabama won the game! They played well and I am giving them credit for that! This means no Heisman for Tebow... I will now look forward to the BCS Championship game between Alabama and whoever wins between Texas vs Nebraska.

It's All About Football!

I can't wait for the football season to start because I can't wait to cheer for my favorite NFL team - the Pittsburgh Steelers. I am a big fan of Steelers because I am impressed with their defense. Of course, they have the heart of a champion too!

During the preseason games, Steeler performed okay. On their game against Arizona Cardinals they won by 10 points, the game against Buffalo Bills, they won by 17 points. Sadly, they lost against Washington Redskins. Their last pre-season game will be against Carolina Panthers. Regular season will start on September 10 and I hope that Steelers will performed better.

I am not only updated with Pittsburgh Steelers but I am also updated with other players and other teams because I am managing my own football fantasy team, for the first time. I have to be updated with the players' stats in order to be able to compete with other players of football fantasy league.

Right now, I spend most of my free time browsing at WaiverWire because it provides me with player rankings, injury reports, news, updates and a lot more....

Football Season

It is this time of the year when we are almost at the end of the countdown for the football season. I admit, we are big football fans both college football and pro football. Every year, we sign up for our fantasy football team. For the past 2 years, Dave and I managed the same team. Now, for a change, we will be managing different teams. I hope that my players will perform well in my football fantasy team as it will be great to win another virtual trophy to add to my other trophies which I won in baseball fantasy.

Football is a game that is really addicting. The adrenalin of the players in the field makes you wanna get involved. The game is very exciting and full of action, that is why majority of people in the USA is addicted to it. Football is not just an ordinary sport, it is somewhat a religion to most people especially in the South.

I am really looking forward for this season to start. I am excited to manage my own fantasy football team. I am very confident about my team because I have found out a lot of helpful tips that I can use from WaiverWire. I already signed up for their Stimulus Package which will provide me with helpful fantasy football analysis.

Football Tickets

When I was in the Philippines, I never had any idea what football is. When I got here in Alabama, I discovered that football is the most famous sport. At first, I did not understand the game as all I saw was bodies of people piling against each other. After watching few games in the television and with my husband explaining some rules to me, I learned the sports and in no time I became I addicted to it. Yes, I am now addicted to football and I could not wait for this football season to start.

Football is not only famous in USA but also to other countries including England. If you want to watch live football games of Liverpool you can check the website SportsBoxOffice.com to buy Liverpool Tickets.

University of Alabama on Probation

There have been rumors about University of Alabama to be put on probation. As of 2:00PM today I learned from both ESPN and Birmingham News that University of Alabama is placed on three years probation for textbook violations.

UA will be forced to vacate football victories from the 2005, 2006 and 2007 seasons and individual records in men's and women's track and men's tennis. There were no scholarship losses for any Alabama sports program.

I am not an Alabama fan but I think it is sad to be forced to vacate all those victories. I just hope that other teams will learn from this.

Miami Dolphins

Football had become a part of our family tradition. Although football is not the primary sports that I love since childhood, it became a very entertaining sport that I learned to love watching. I never imagined how serious fans can be when it comes to football. During my few years of stay here, I have witnessed how fans cheered for their favorite teams and how football apparel are worn with pride. In the south where I live, football is a way of life to many people.

Last year, I became an avid fan of the football game. I even have to wake up early so as to catch the game on TV on time. Weekends are days I looked forward too because of the games.

If you are a fan of Miami Dolphins and you want to watch their games, you can now buy Miami Dolphins Tickets at a very affordable price. MiamiDolphinsTicket.com is your ultimate destination if you want to know anything about Miami Dolphins. This website sells ticket and tailgate packages. With this website, purchasing a ticket is just a breeze because it has secure online processing and superior customer service. 2009 NFL Draft

I didn't think that I could be a Football Fan. The first time, I watched it, I didn't understand why all the players are just pushing each other. The first time I watched the game on TV, I was feeling like "okay, whatever". After few explanations of the football rules, I started to understand it and since last year, I became a big football fan. I like the college football better than the professional football. I still watched the NFL and my favorite team is the Steelers.

The love of the fans for football (especially in the South) is amazing. I couldn't believe how they take the game so seriously. Well, in the Philippines there is no football so I couldn't relate. After being an avid fan of the sports, I started to understand why. Football is somehow a part of living.

I was following the 2009 NFL Draft because Matthew Stafford is one of my favorite college QB. I was astonished as to how much TV coverage the NFL Draft gets. They even provide a countdown for it. The result of the top pics of the NFL draft is not really surprising because there were projections on whose gonna be on the top. There were published 2009 NFL Mock Draft which more or less 50% accurate.

This year's draft was my first experience of monitoring how does an NFL draft goes. I am looking forward for next year's draft and I will for sure take a note of Doc Sports NFL Mock Draft.

Chick-A-Fillet Bowl

Last game of the season for LSU. I never expected this game to be won by LSU. Georgia Tech has been playing good so I was prepared for another loss. I have resigned to the fact that LSU has more losses.

Surprisingly, LSU ran over the Georgia Tech team. I couldn't believe how good LSU's defense and offense and how good LSU's quarterback (Jefferson) had played tonight. Somehow I think "where are these kind of plays when they needed to win"

Well, I am happy they won the game. Hopefully LSU team has found its QB and hopefully next year they will do better.

Good luck and geaux tigers!
