Review and swatches of A England Excalibur (new revamped version), comparison and nail art design!

*This post contains PR sample

Hello lovelies,

As you may know, A England has introduced some new shades apart from the recent Burne-Jones Dream collection. I'll show you one of them today. I'm talking about revamped version of Excalibur! I personally love the original metallic silver Excalibur, it is my favourite silver so I'm sad to see it going. The new one is also beautiful though...

Excalibur (revamped) - golden silver foil with coppery gold flakes. This colour is very hard to describe because it's not pure silver or pure gold but kind of a mix of both. The formula is excellent like with all other A England shades. It applied very well and two coats were enough for full coverage. There were no streaks despite the foil finish.

I've done a comparison for you of both A England Excaliburs and shades close to them. Btw would you like to see more  comparison pictures like the one below?

And I've also done some doodling over Excalibur using Barry M Nail Art Pen Black :)

SpaRitual Laugh Collection - Review and swatches

*PR sample

Hello lovelies,

Today I have the newest SpaRitual collection to show you and it's a very exciting one! No nude and earth tones but bold shades and glitters! The collection is called Laugh and has been released for Summer 2013.

Lucy's Stash - SpaRitual Laugh Collection

Lucy's Stash - SpaRitual Laugh Collection

Burst - red and pink glitter in a pink jelly base. This is a very pretty combo packed with glitter. It applied very well and I'm wearing two thicker coats. The tinted jelly nicely fills out any gaps but I can see my tips showing a bit. I needed thick topcoat to smooth the surface.

Hugs - blackened indigo blue with purple undertones. Absolutely stunning dark indigo blue! It might seem to be black but it really is not. The subtle blue shimmers shows under the light or in the sun. it applied very nicely and the pigmentation was excellent. One coat was almost enough but I needed two coats for perfect coverage. Short nails might need just one thicker coat.

Optimistic - muted matte white with beige undertones. Ok I don't know what I was thinking when I painted my nails but I put topcoat on *facepalm*. Without topcoat this polish dries nicely matte. I needed three coats for full coverage, two just weren't perfect. Otherwise it applied easily and dried fast.

Giggle - multi coloured glitter in a clear base. Fun glitter topcoat that will work with many colours. The bottle is loaded with glitter that applies well. There's plenty of it so I didn't have to worry about glitter placement. I'm wearing just one coat over Optimistic.

HA...HA... - silver and red glitter in a clear base.Oh I love this glitter topper! Rubies in the snow I say! It looks just perfect over Hugs and would look great over any dark colour. This is just one coat so you can see there's plenty of glitter in the bottle. It applied easily and dried fast.

Out Loud - teal jelly with blue, green and green holo glitter. Last but not least there's this gorgeous teal jelly packed with glitter it is on a sheer side so I've applied three thicker coats. It would be more efficient to layer it over teal polish but then you would loose the gorgeous layered jelly look. The drying time was a bit longer due to thick layers and I needed thick layer of topcoat to smooth the finish.

I like this collection a lot as it offers great variety of colours and finishes. SpaRitual collections have been quite bland lately (pastels or earth tones) so I am very much welcoming this fun Summer collection. The formulas varied a lot so please refer to each shades' separate review above.

My top picks are Hugs, Burst and HA...HA...

*PR sample

Hello lovelies,

OPI has introduced more Liquid Sands polishes in the Bond Girls Collection and I have swatches of all of them for you! the collection consists of six Liquid Sand polishes and each is named after a Bond girl. So let's have a look at them:

Lucy's Stash - OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand Collection

Honey Ryder - champaign gold glitter texture. It's a pretty and office-friendly shade which I liked wearing. It applied easily and two coats were enough for full coverage.

Jinx - orange-coral base with gold glitter. The finish is very sparkly and bright, perfect for Summer! Two coats were enough for full coverage and the polish applied very nicely.

Pussy Galore - light baby pink base with fine fuchsia glitter. It's a gorgeous girly shade with blue undertones. Pussy Galore felt smoother to touch than some other Liquid Sands. It had good and easy to apply formula and I needed just two coats for full coverage.

Solitaire - pearl silver white with silver glitter. Solitaire is very sparkly and not overly gritty. It applied well and I'm wearing two coats.

Tiffany Case - aqua blue base with silver glitter. This is my favourite of al the Bond Girls shades, I love how sparkly it is and the bigger silver glitter nicely stands out. I'm wearing two coats that were fully opaque.

Vesper - eggplant purple jelly base with black glitter. The colour is very dark and rich in real life, my pictures don't seem to capture the true beauty of this polish. I've applied to thicker coats for full coverage.

I feel that this collection of Liquid Sand texture polishes have much improved if compared to Mariah Carey collection. The finish is gritty but not too sharp. They all applied easily and were opaque in two coats. The drying time was rather average. The polishes look dry and gritty within 5 minutes but they are not truly hardened so be careful in the next approximately 30 minutes.

The removal is similar to glitters so let them soak properly otherwise the glitter particles stick to the skin. All polishes also look very nice wit topcoat but you'll need at least two thick coats.
