Hello lovelies,
I've purchased many KIKO polishes at the beginning of the year and this bright blue creme is one of them. As you can see on the old watermark it has been sitting the 'to publish' folder for a long time :)
KIKO 295 - bright blue creme. KIKO does creme shades very well and this one is not an exception. It has great pigmentation, I got away with two coats. It applied very easily and the polish levelled itself out nicely. I'm not wearing topcoat.
I swatched this polish when I was doing the Gardening manicure with Carrots & Parsnip...remember?

Glitter Disco nails manicure with KIKO 335 :)
Hello lovelies,
As always, I've done some nail art on a swatched polish and today is a disco nail art! :D I can't help myself but these nails seriously evoke disco era to me.
So now I had painted and dry nails with KIKO 335. I've painted a straight line from the tip to cuticle with The Best Glue Ever and let it dry. Then I started to apply the glitters one by one in a straight line. I must say I really liked the look of the manicure with just a straight lines too but just to add a bit more bling I've applied more glitter! I've sealed it with Seche Vite top coat.
And this is the glitter I've used. I've got it from Born Pretty Store and it comes in a plastic screw lid jar and there is ton of it (16 grams)! I don't think I can ever use it all. I found it great for this kind of nail art. I've got a 10% discount for the Born Pretty Store which you can use too. Just use code LHJ61.
*The glitter was provided for a review

KIKO 335 - gorgeous royal blue jelly - Review and swatches
Hello lovelies,
lately I have a very soft spot for royal blue and dark blue jellies. I have about four and one of them is this KIKO 335.
KIKO 335 - royal blue jelly. This polish being jelly is very well pigmented. I'm wearing two thicker coats and the nail line is hardly visible. It applied very nicely. There's not much to say, it's just very pretty polish :)

Sea Shells nail art manicure with KIKO polishes
Hello lovelies!
I live almost by the sea but the weather so far has been nothing else than cold and rainy :( UK is experiencing lots of rain and flash floods and NO SUMMER! So I was quite pleased to do this Summer Challenge - Sea Shells. It totally reminds me holidays in Italy and Croatia, picking up sea shells and having a great time :)
Anyway...for this manicure I've used KIKO polishes #295, #352, #299 and one without the label which has greenish teal colour. I've sponged the polishes in patches to create shimmering sea background. Then I painted the sea shells and starfish with acrylic paint.

KIKO Frozen collection #02 and Revlon Gold Coin in a simple reversed french tip mani
Hello lovelies,
I'll be cheating in the Summer Challenge today as I didn't have time to create any Cricket manicure. Let's say this is my Cricket manicure :)
It's just a simple 'french tip' manicure using KIKO Frozen collection #02 and Revlon Gold Coin.

Wimbledon nail art tape manicure - Summer Challenge Day 22
Hello lovelies!
Today's post is all about Wimbledon. I don't care much about tennis but Wimbledon is today's topic of Summer Challenge so I caved in and created Wimbledon mani :)
This manicure is inspired by Wimbledon logo which has green, purple and white colours. I've used purple Devilish Polish Denise as a base colour. The I've applied two strips of tape diagonally on the nail. I've painted the tip of the nail in green (KIKO 343) and small gap in between the tape strips in white (OPI Alpine Snow). Simple and done!
And this was my inspiration - Wimbledon logo:

Parrot nail art manicure for Summer Challenge - Scarlet Macaw in the jungle
Hello lovelies!
Thanks to the Summer Challenge I participate in (Thank you for putting it together Debbie!) I take on 'projects' I wouldn't normally do and it pushes me to do very elaborate and creative manicures. Like today's one!
The topic for today's Summer Challenge is Jungle mani or Parrots and I chose to paint my favourite parrot - Scarlet Macaw (Ara Macao). Macaws are magnificent birds and I love them! My first ever boyfriend had 24(!) of them so I've spend years in their company, could admire them and sometimes even touch them. Don't get me wrong, they can be very angry, aggressive and dangerous birds but they are beautiful. They could snap your finger in half if you'd just give them a chance :D
I used to paint and draw macaws so this mani wasn't as hard for me. Firstly I've used KIKO 343 and CND Urban Oasis to create the jungle background. I dipped dots of CND into the wet KIKO polish and dragged the needle through it to create two-colour background. Then I started to paint the macaw with acrylic colours.
Hope you like it and hope you'll share it to spread the love :)
Aren't they just beautiful?

Ladybird/Ladybug manicure with Tutorial! Summer Challenge Day 16
Hello all polish lovers!
I've also created a tutorial of how I've done this mani:
And this was my inspiration for the ladybird/ladybug:
These are other lovely ladies who participate in the Summer challenge:
It's another day of summer challenge and the theme is Ladybird/Ladybug! I was thinking a long time about what I'll create on my nails as I didn't want to do a classic ladybird (red nail wish ladybird on it in black lines and dots). I chose to paint an animated ladybird on one accent nail standing on a leaf and the rest of the nails red with black dots.
I've used China Glaze Poinsettia, KIKO
343, Nails Inc. Dulux Forest Falls and acrylic colours.
And here is my manicure:I've also created a tutorial of how I've done this mani:

Ozotic Elytra 529 over KIKO 379 & mattified! Includes Ozotic 529 Review
Hi everybody!
I finally own Ozotic Elytra polishes!!! I absolutely love them in the bottle but they've disappointed me a bit on the nails. I will try more combinations so I can explore their full potential. Today I've layered Ozotic 529 over KIKO 379.
Ozotic 529 - multichrome glitter in a clear base. It is really hard to describe this polish. The glitter shifts from dark blue, almost purple through lighter shades of blue to pink and burnt orange shades. Amazing! I was staring at the bottles for a very long time when they've finally arrived. I don't know if it's just this combination but it didn't look as good on the nail. I haven't used any topcoat so the surface is uneven.
The removal was the same like with all glitters - difficult to say the least :) Use the foil method or at least hold the soaked cotton pad on your nail for few minutes. That's what I do instead of preparing foil stripes.
And here is the mattified version using MASH Matte Top Coat. I actually like the mattified version much more, the top coat makes it very elegant.
I've bought the Ozotics at Harlow & Co. and MASH Top Coat can be purchased at mashnails.com
