Jelly sandwich combo with Clinique 01 Call My Buff and OPI Polka.com

Hello lovelies,

Just one speedy post today. I've done a pretty cool jelly sandwich using Clinique Call My Buff and OPI Polka.com

I've started with two coats of Clinique, then added one generous coat of OPI and lastly I've added a coat of Clinique. I like how soft it looks, the Clinique is quite sheer jelly.

Zoya PixieDust Summer 2013 Collection - Review and swatches

*Products provided for a review

Hello lovelies,

The Zoya PixieDust Summer Collection has finally reached and I'm happy I can show you the swatches. They are gorgeous, bright and bold, you're going to love them! The whole collection consists of six textured finish shades and the bottles feature matte black cap.

Luucy's Stash - Zoya PixieDust Summer Collection

Solange - metallic yellow gold texture. Solange is AH-MAZING! It's so sparkly, especially in the sun and I just couldn't take my eye of it. Apparently it contains a gold pigment exclusive to Zoya. I've applied two coats which were enough for full coverage.

Beatrix - bright orange texture with gold particles. This orange shade is leaning to gold a lot and it also has some gold particles that sparkle nicely. I'm not into orange colours a lot but this ones very pretty and would go nicely with tanned skin. It is opaque in two thicker coats.

Destiny - red orange texture with gold particles. Some this a coral but in my eyes the shade is closer to the colour of red orange :) It's a really nice colour, much more wearable than the proper orange above. I've applied two thicker coats which provided good coverage.

Miranda - dark rose pink base with silver glitter. It's a gorgeous and feminine shade. It's subtle yet gives your nails that splash of colour without looking eccentric. It was opaque in two thicker coats.

Stevie - lavender textured base with silver glitter. I like purples but this one is not my cup of tea as it doesn't go with my skin tone. It is otherwise a nice and very sparkly shade with good formula. I've applied two thicker coats and it dried slightly less gritty than the rest of the shades.

Liberty - vibrant blue base with silver glitter. Wow, this blue is super bright and gorgeous, it definitely stands out for me. Unfortunately it stained my nails a lot despite me using a base coat. I managed to clean my nails with whitening toothpaste but please bear in mind that this polish stains. I needed two coats for good coverage.

The formula of all six shades was more or less the same. They applied very easily and the textured finish is not too uneven and sharp like with some other textured polishes. I like that the finish is not too rough so switching between glossy polish and PixieDusts is easy without me needing to pick on the polish.

The drying time was rather average, they do take their time to drying properly. Even when they looks already gritty and dry, they are not. They need at least 10 more minutes than regular polish.

My absolute favourites are Solange and Liberty (despite the staining), the vibrant shades are just perfect for summer!

You can purchase Zoya polishes at the official website and at your usual stores.

Review and swatches of Naild'it Unique Nail Polishes!

Hello lovelies,

I'm grateful I got a chance to try and review Naild'it Unique Nail Polishes and I'm sure you'll find them very pretty! Andrea, the creator of these polishes must have a great imagination to create such pretties. You can find different finishes, mostly glitters and glitter jellies.

Tea parties and Fairytales - mix of purple, white, black, pink and holographic glitter. I have applied one coat over Jacava Raspberry Bavarois. There is plenty of glitter in the bottle so I didn't have to fish it out. I wouldn't apply it alone as it would take at least three coats for good coverage. It's much better for layering. It applied good, dried fast and slightly satin.

Aurora’s Grape Escape - grape purple holo base with holo and turquoise glitters. This one is so pretty in real life and in the sun, the camera didn't pick up on the tiny holo specks. The formula was on the thicker side but I still managed to apply the polish ok. I'm wearing two thick coats and topcoat. The drying time was average to fast (partly because of the thicker coats) and removal was bit difficult due to glitter. I've soaked cotton pads in nail polish remover, held them on the nails for three minutes and then removed without problems.

Sir Round Sound - milky pink base with multicoloured  and multi shape glitter. I've left the best at last, I completely adored this polish on me! It applied very well but the base colour could have been a bit more opaque. I've applied two thick coats for good coverage but next time I might layer one coat over white. It dries slightly gritty so topcoat is needed.

So far I have tried these three Naild'it Unique nail polishes ad I was very pleased with them. I would like to see a tad better pigmentation but they can be layered. They all applied well so no problem formula-wise. I'm looking forward to try few more I've got so stay tuned :)

China Glaze Glitter Crackles collection - Review and swatches

Hello my lovelies!

today I will show you the new China Glaze Crackle Glitters collection. It consists of four shades: Luminious Lavender, Gleam Me Up, Jade-d and Glam-more.

I've tried to fit in as much pictures without overloading the page so you might notice a slightly new format of some pictures. Hope you'll like it.

China Glaze says: "Sparkle all summer long with China Glaze®’s new Crackle Glitters collection.  Once again taking crackle technology to the next level, this third-generation polish pairs the edgy innovation of crackling nail lacquer with glamorous glitters. Create glamorously different looks with just one sweep of China Glaze® Crackle Glitters.  Layer over different base colors to create bold styles.  Use a lighter coat to create a fine crackle, a thicker coat for a deep shatter effect.  Brush sideways or on an angle to create different looks.  As versatile and edgy as China Glaze®’s biggest celebrity fans (Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nicole Ritchie and Kelly Osbourne, to name a few), China Glaze® Crackle Glitters add a spark(le) to one of the hottest nail art trends!"

I'm not a huge fan of crackles but these look very nice. I'm wearing the Jade-d over black right now and I really like it! It looks much better than crackle creme shades, the glitters create sparkly and interesting look. For you who are not entirely fed up with crackle polishes, I think you'll like these:

Gleam Me Up - bright blue/turquoise coloured glitter. CHG describes the shade as bright sky blue which describes it well too. I like the turquoise shade as it is a nice contrast to black. The glitter is fine and it applied very nicely. One coat of Seche Vite topcoat.

Luminious Lavender - lavender purple glitter. Lovely cool-toned lavender shade. I've applied a bit thicker coat so the cracks are big and thick. It's up to you how thick coat you'll apply so you can achieve thinner cracks if you want. One coat of Seche Vite topcoat.

Direct sunlight

Jade-d - spring green glitter. I wouldn't really call this shade jade, it is bright spring green, really lovely for this time of year. It applied nicely as the other shades and I'm still wearing it and I'm not experiencing any chipping. One coat of Seche Vite topcoat.

Glam-More - bright fuchsia/magenta glitter. This one is my favourite, it is so vibrant shade! It crackles nicely but I've applied a bit thicker coats because I wanted lots of the glitter on the nails :) That caused bigger cracks. Two coats of Seche Vite topcoat.

Overall, all the polishes have surprisingly very good formula for crackles. They don't dry as fast as the creme/metallic crackle shades which makes it much easier to work with. I usually have problem with too fast drying when the polish starts to crackle right after application which makes it really hard for me to go back and even the layers.

Also you'll need two coats of topcoat. If you have a look at the Glam-more shade where I've used two coats of Seche Vite and compare it to Jade-d with one coat you'll notice the difference. The first coat of topcoat gets sucked into the glitter and in between the cracks so if you want shiny even layer, use two coats of thicker topcoat.

What do you think of these shades? Yay or Nay?
