Wedding BookCard

Now the wedding is over, and I can show you the bookcard I made.
Shabby/ vintage, creamy colours, laces and bling I guess must be the key-words for it.
Both papers, image, laces and embellishments are thinkgs I´ve had in my drawers for ages, just waiting for the right project :)
(I rarely throw away anything, You´ll never know when you can use "that" piece of scrap-paper…)

Bookcards take a little more time making, so they´re most for special occasions - like weddings.
I use heavyweight aquarellepaper for the insidebox, and cardbox-cardstock for the covering. Tehn I decorate with yummi papers and embellishments - my favourite part of the making :)
I stamped a weddingpoem and attached to the inside.

I also made a tag that fits into the "box".
This one also has a stamped little poem, and on the back it has a blank panel, for a personal greeting. The bow on the tag is meant to be tied around some rolled-up money. I just used a piece of rolled paper here, to show "the idea".
(After decorating the front side of the tag, I punched two tiny holes to put the ribbon through.
Then I decorated the back of the tag, so the ribbon doesn´t show there)
The next pictures show the book from different angles.

I´ll enter the following challenges:
Vintage Udfordring #66 - Lag et kort hvor du bruker en bretteteknikk
Card and Scrap #61 - Vintage/ Shabby Chic

Wedding at My Besties

Good morning all crafters!
Today we start a
Weddingchallenge
at
My Besties.
I have used the beautiful Hearts a flutter-image for my card.
Aren´t these two just a supercute couple!

It´s an easelcard:
And I´ve tried something new here.
I tried DAS modelling material, rolled it out really thin and stamped a greeting in it.
Then I cut around the greeting and left it to dry
- SCARY; would it stay flat, or would it curl up to completely useless…
It went well, and I made another claydecoration. This one a heartshaped stamp with "text" (Inkido) that I cut out with a heartshaped gingerbreadcutter.
It´s so cute! It´s underneath the ribbon, you can see it if you look closely, now that you know it is there (lol).

Pro- and FlexMarkers used to colour the image:
Skin: Ivory, Dusky Pink, Tan, Blush
Hair: Walnut, Terracotta/ Gold, Saffron, Primrose

For The One You Love at Ooh La La Creations Challenge

Today we have a new challenge at
This time our theme is
I chose to make a weddingcard to inspire you to join us
Again I've used papers and image from the Yesterdays Memories CD.
The image is built up in 7 layers - I like this effect...
Together with the papers I've used a grey, a white and a white bling cardstock from Bazzill.
I inked the edges with a silvercoloured inkpad. On the back I used silverembossing on the weddingringsimage (Papirdesign)
Inside the card I stamped a romantic little poem:

Here's the back, with the silverembossed image:
The next picture shows the card lying flat, to better show the beautiful ribbon with the text "Bryllup" ("Wedding"). Together with the picture I let the bow be the focalpoint of the card, I felt it didn't need much more embellishments - well, of course I had to put on a few pearls. It is for a wedding, after all!

I made a weddingcard, but it doesn't nean you have to do th same. You can make most anything you like, as long as it is for someone loved or about love, so come join us.
At
Ooh La La Creations
you can find much more lovely inspiration

I'll send my wedding card to the Order of the Opus Gluei, for the ongoing Weddingchallenge

Weddingcard in White and Gold

 Good morning everyone
Looking throught my blogs postinglist I found this weddingcard I almost forgot to show!
I made it some time ago, after a tutorial in Ett Trykk. I think it's kind of fun, with all the pockets for tags and small cards.
I haven't used any coloured images or photos on this card, only stamped texts.
Some of the greetings/ sentiments are embossed with goldcoloured embossingpowder.
The folding gives you one quite large pocket, with room for a larger tag/ card, on this I have stamped a cute, little poem:
I decorated the front and back of the tag with the same papers and panels:
On the frontside of the card there's two more pockets.
I've put two tags in one of the pockets, and a sentiment mounted on magnetic paper in the other pocket:
Here I've put the magnet on the fridgedoor:
This is how the back of the card looks like ( I love using this stamp on the back of my weddingcards):

Materials used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
DP: Papirdesign
Ink: Colorbox Gold, Versafine Onyx Black, Versamark
Stamps: Papirdesign, Kreativ Hobby, Panduro, Kort & Godt
Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace PATP-set
Embossingpowder Gold
Halfpearls, Pearlstrings, Swirlstrings, Flowers, Ribbons, Charms
Magnetic sheet

Vintage or Nostalgic at Ooh La La

Good morning fellow crafters.
This Monday we have a new challenge for you over at Ooh La La Challenge Blog.
The theme for the next fortnight is Vintage/ Nostalgic.
How fun is that!
I must admit I had a bit of a block making my DT-sample for this challenge.
Or maybe it's wrong to call it a block, it was more like "I don't know what to make or what to use" - there are for sure a lot to choose between on my OLL-CDs...
Then a friend came and wanted me to make a bookcard for a wedding she was invited to, and everything fell in place. I knew exactly how to make it; what image and wich papers to use. Even what to use for decorating it!
An here it is!
Here comes a few pictures showing the inside, the inlaycard and the back of the book:

I hope you've found a little inspiration here for your vintage/ nostalgic-project. For more inspiration, hop over to the Ooh La La Challenge Blog to see what lovely creations the rest of the DT have made.

I'll enter my weddingbookcard into
NSHK's challenge #72 - Festlige Begivenheter

Have a wonderful day, everyone.
I'll be back in a little while :)

Pink Weddingcard

I have made a new weddingcard after Kenny K's latest sketch. I have used a digi-image from Kenny K, that I've coloured with ProMarkers. Isn't the groom cool in pink suit?!
I've used lots of glitter, pearls and bling on this card. The ribbon with the Bryllupstext (wedding) was originally white, but I used a pink ProMarker to colour it. I felt a pink ribbon would look better on this card than a white...
The punched-out hearts are mounted on wires. I've covered them with Glitterstickles. I used Glitterstickles around the frontside-sentiment too.

Close-up:

Here's the inside. Around the greetingpanel I used a Martha Stewart PATP-punch.
The text is from Storyteller.

I'll send this card to the following challenges:
Kenny K's Krafty Krew #107 - Get Sketchy
Scrapperiket #56 - Hjerter
My Mum's Craft Shop #71 - Weddings /Anniversaries
Panduro Hobby - Alt er tilladt (Anything Goes)

Happy Couple

Here's a weddingcard I've made after this weeks Sketchy Colors sketch.
The image is a digi from Kenny K, coloured with ProMarkers (and a little Glitterstickles for the bride).
The papers (can't remember where they're from) have a light goldshimmer, so I used a little gold on the flowers, and some goldembossingpowder around the image and the text on the backside (Storyteller, if I don't remember it wrong).
I'm afraid the little heartcharm attached to the ribbon doesn't show very well in the picture - but it is there!
For the first time making a card, I think I've found the perfect place for a pin! I have quite a few of them, but never seems to find the right spot for them...

Inside the card I used a Martha Stewart PATP to make the greetingpanels. The text here is from Papirdesign.

Here's a closer picture of the backside. The embossingpowder is Rangers Ancient Gold embossingpowder (Roman Gold).

 Here's the Happy Couple:
You can see I've used both pearls and LiquidPearls (OpalWhite and Biscuit)

I'll send my newest wedding card to these challenges:
Sketchy Colors #127 - Sketch
My Mum's Craftshop #71 - Weddings/ Anniversaries
Divas by Design #49 - Anything Goes!
Papertake Weekly - Pins and Needles
Gingerloft - Heavy Metal
Scrappin' All Over #4 - Glede (Happiness)

Wedding again

I have to admit; this isn't my idea at all. I saw a card like this (other colours, though) in another blog. All the time making the card I've had the address to the blog on a post-it-note, and now that I need it, it's gone!!! Hopefully I'll find it, and can write in the address later on...
I thought the layout, with the background that almost give the illusion of a wedding-cake, on this card was SO perfect for a weddingcard, I just HAD to make it!
I used white Bazzill carstock and wedding-DPs of different kinds. All papers have inked edges (DistressInk WalnutStain). The stamped greeting inside the card is from Storyteller.
The image is a digi from Kenny K, coloured with ProMarkers.
And of course I had to use glitter on the bride!
I decorated with white roses that I gave a little brush with goldcoloured ink, heartshaped halfpearls and pearlstrings, a little ribbon and those white ironswirls I don't know what are called :)

The card - an easelcard - standing up:
(inside the easel is a writingpanel)
and finally a close-up of the happy couple:

I'll send it to these challenges:

Sweet Stampin' - Weddings & Anniversaries
Scrappin' All Over #4 - Glede (Happiness)
ProMarker Norge #8 - Alt er Lov (Anything Goes)
Paper Crafting Journey - Happy Birthday/ Celebration
Papelitos Stamps #7 - Celebrations
Just Some Lines - Layer It Up

Magic Shabby-Vintage Wedding Card

Here's another weddingcard I've made recently. I think the "Magic Card" is so elegant and so perfect for such an event.
The card is in white and greytones. All paperedges are inked with DistressInk (PumiceStone).
The butterflies are sprayed with Glimmermist (SnowQueen).
On the cardedges and the panels I've used a Martha Stewart PATP-set.
I put on a piece of tulle and a little lace. On and around the tulle I put on some LiquidPearls (White Opal).
The text on the charm says Bryllup (= Wedding).

On the he inside I stamped a text from Papirdesign.
The only decorations here are the same kind of butterflies as I used on the frontside (dies from Cheery Lynn).

On the backside I used 3D-foampads to attach the cutout:

I'll join these challenges with my Magic Wedding Card:
Papirdokkene #33 - Monokromatisk
C.R.A.F.T. #167 - Add a Charm
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Totally Papercrafts - Monochromatic

Wedding Card in White and Gold

The last weeks I've been working on some Weddingcards.
This is one of them.
I've used Cardstock and DPs in only white and gold.
To decorate the card I've used Martha Stewart punches, Spellbinders Dies (Heart Circles), flowers, leaves and different pearls - and goldcoloured Glimmermist.
I inked the edges of the diecuts with Gold.
The stamped texts (Storyteller and Kort&Godt) are goldembossed.

A few more pictures, to show details from the card:

Here are the challenges I'll send the weddingcard into:
Hooked on Craft #23 - Let's Celebrate
Try it on Tuesday - Anything Goes
Catered Crop - White Pages
Simply Greate Too #19 - Anything Goes
Crazy Amigo - Dies and Punches
Dream Valley #38 - Die Cuts and Punches

Napkin Folded Wedding Card

I have made a Napkin folded card.
I wanted to make a wedding card, and wanted a kind of elegant folding.
The Napkin folding and the Magic Card folding are the most elegant folding techniques I know (by now), and for this card I chose the napkin fold.
This technique has lots af folds, a lot of measuring and cutting and a LOT of inking, as I chose to ink all edges on both the cardstock and the papers.
I used DistressInk WalnutStain for the inking.
Around the edges of the cardstock I used a Martha Stewart PATP-set. I used the same set to make the panel on the closing. The closing is made quite simple with a magnet underneath the designpapers.
The designpapers are from MajaDesigns Vintage Summer Basics-collection. I think I used both sides from two different papers.
On the front I only decorated with a greeting (from Papirdesign, I think), a ribbon, some pearls and some flowers.

Here I've opened the "belt":

Here's the card almost wide open,

Here come two pictures that shows the inside closer:

On the tag (Magnolia DooHickey I stamped a weddingimage (Panduro) both on the frontside:

...and on the back. The images are not coloured, only goldembossed:

Here's the list of challenges I'll enter the card into:
Scrappin' All Over - Vintage Wedding
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
The Paper Shelter -  Punches and/or Dies
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' - Scallops
