Happy Saturday! Time for another wonderful sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday!! Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring this week's sketch challenge, offering a $25 gift certificate as a prize!
Isn't this a yummy sketch? In my quest to clean out my craft room, I'm running across paper scraps and stamps that have yet to see ink, and I'm determined to use them. This My Mind's Eye paper has owls in it, which reminded me of this adorable Hoo Loves You stamp set by The Greeting Farm which I had yet to use. A perfect match!
I gave this card to my dear friend Alicia, who loves owls. We had a crafty night together last night, which is always such a pleasure. I definitely do love that girl! ;)
Please stop by the Sketch Saturday blog to see all the wonderful creations from the design team ladies. They are an amazing group of artists who are sure to inspire and delight you.
Have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

So Long, Farewell... for now (*wink*)
This is my last post as April Guest Designer for The Greeting Farm. sniff sniff. But I had a heckuva good time, so I can't complain. In fact, I'm very grateful to Marie and Jess for giving me the chance to play with one of my all-time favorite stamp lines! I always have been and always will be a fan of The Greeting Farm!
I set sail with another look at Creeper Crew Syren, released April 1st. And now it's nearly time to see what new things are up for grabs at TGF in May! I paired Syren with patterned paper and chipboard embellies from the Salt Air collection by Cosmo Cricket.
I followed this week's sketch challenge at The Farm Fresh Challenge Blog. Have you stopped by the new challenge blog yet? You must! So much fun is going on over there all the time!
Thanks for stopping in today! I'll be back soon with more! Have a wonderful day!

Time to Follow Your Dreams
A blessed Palm Sunday to you! This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Our challenge hostess this week at Stampin' Sisters in Christ is Peggysue Turner. Peggysue chose as her inspiration scripture Matthew 16:23 "Jesus turned and said to Peter, 'Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men." Her challenge is to use Versamark or the same color ink on the same color of paper (e.g., purple ink on purple paper) for a tone on tone effect somewhere on your card.
Peggysue put just the first part of Matthew 16:23 (i.e., "Jesus turned and said to Peter, 'Get behind me Satan!'") in the database for her challenge and I had no idea where she was going with this until I prepared the SSIC post and read her devotional. And then, of course, I pulled out my Bible and read the entire scripture... actually the entirety of Matthew 16:21-28.
As I write this, it's midnight and I'm not feeling well... I've been a bit under the weather the past couple of days... so I don't feel capable of writing a devotional of my own. However, I don't need to... I agree with what Peggysue has said in her devotional, which you'll find on the SSIC blog. I encourage you to jump over there and read it and see the beautiful cards created by my design sisters. You will be blessed!
My card features sweet Anya, greeting and background stamp from the Spotlight Collection by The Greeting Farm. Did you know I'm lucky enough to be the April Guest Designer at TGF? Big smiles from me! I LOVE TGF!!! I used the background stamps from the Spotlight Collection to meet the challenge by stamping in Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress Ink (which is green) on green cardstock and then I cut out the banners with Spellbinders Nested Pennants dies. The background paper and chipboard piece are from the Origins collection by Basic Grey.
TGF is sponsoring the current challenge at The Play Date Cafe, so I decided to combine challenges! A $25 Gift Certificate to spend at The Greeting Farm is up for grabs! There's still time to play, but you must hurry... the challenge ends on Tuesday at 11:59 pm Eastern!
Oh, and you'll definitely want to HOP over to the TGF blog and grab the adorable FREE digi images... Easter Ian and Easter Anya! Cute!!!
And I hope you'll come play with us at Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenges this week. We are delighted to welcome back Designed2Delight as our sponsor. There's a $10 gift certificate up for grabs! Have you visited their store lately? Lots and lots of wonderful digi images to be had!
Thanks for stopping by my friends! Have a blessed day!

Daisy Two
Happy Saturday!!! Time for another fabby sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday!!!
I flipped the sketch on its side to better showcase sweet Wild Sprout Daisy, one of the newest stamps released by The Greeting Farm this month! Okay, so I experimented with her hair. Believe it or not, I actually practiced this three times before making the final version, so, yes, it's on purpose! lol Don't tell me if you hate it 'cause I might cry. Just kidding. It's different, but I kinda like it with the paper.
Speaking of the paper, it's from the beautiful Portrait Collection by Crate Paper, along with the border strip and buttons. Love those buttons! And there's a bit of Tim Holtz tissue tape on there. ;)
Please be sure to pop over to the Sketch Saturday blog to see all the gorgeous cards created by this amazing design team. Seriously, these girls rock! Plus, Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring and there's a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to spend in their awesome store, so you'll definitely want to play!

Cheeky Howdy!
Howdy... and Happy Saturday! Time for another wonderful sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday!!!
It's Cazza's turn to host the challenge and she's come up with a great sketch for us to play with. My card features Cheeky Howdy from The Greeting Farm. I admit I'm a bit keen on retro, so the Cheeky Cherry series is one of my faves.
I also turned to a favorite for the patterned paper... yep, that's "vintage" Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket. The colors and patterns of that paper still make me happy. *smile* I created the border with my Magnolia DooHickey Cherry Lace die.
I hope you'll come along and play with us this week. Our sponsor is Lisa B Designs. Such cute critters has she... plus, I'm partial to her name. *wink* For more inspiration, be sure to jump over to the Sketch Saturday blog to see all the goodness created by the fantastic design team. We're an international group, don't you know. I love it!

Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year!!! May you enjoy good health, prosperity and many blessings in 2011!!!
Another reason to celebrate... it's time for the first sketch challenge of the new year at Sketch Saturday!
Jilli is our design team hostess and has come up with a really fun sketch! Create With TLC is our sponsor!
My card features a freebie digi image from The Greeting Farm... sweet Anya all dressed up and ready to ring in the new year! I've paired her with patterned paper and chipboard pieces from the Circa 1934 collection by Cosmo Cricket. I added a bit of sparkle to her petticoat, sash and headband with my clear atYou Spica gel pen. A girl needs a bit of sparkle when she parties, don't you agree?
I hope you'll come along and play with us this week... a great way to start the new crafting year off right! And be sure to stop by the Sketch Saturday blog to see what the rest of the ladies have come up with. I promise you won't want to miss them!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Just A Blog Hop
Welcome to Just A Blog Hop. We were invited to put aside all of our stamping oriented obligations and deadlines and create something just for fun. The hop guidelines were simple: choose a challenge to play and choose either a new uninked stamp or an old favorite. Create a card and mail it to someone. What could be better to celebrate World Card Making Day?
The fun begins on Jami Sibley's blog, the brilliant organizer of this special hop. So please start there so you won't miss any of the fun! Jami will also have the complete links of all participants on the hop in case there's a break along the way.

I've always loved The Greeting Farm images, and I own TONS of them, but never seem to have time to ink them up. I intend to play in at least one of their challenges every week, but then the week gets away from me. Today I finally did it! I made this card for the Saturday Sketch at Club Anya & Friends! So fun! I haven't figured out who I'm mailing this to yet, but I have a couple of ideas in mind. I think I'm going to become more of a "card sender" instead of just a card maker. (*grin*)
Your next stop is Charmaine Ikach's blog. Enjoy!!! I know I will!

Happy Anniversary TGF!!!
Today is The Greeting Farm's second anniversary, and we're celebrating with a humongous blog hop!!!
They don't call me "Last Minute Lisa" for nothin! This sweet image is the brand new Cupcake Anya which was released today in digi form, so yes, I whipped my card up today and posted 8 minutes late!!!Yikes!
I pulled out some "vintage" TGF designer paper, which is perfect for this sweet image. The greeting is from the Spotlight Kit.
I won't take a lot of time for chat, because who has time to read nearly 100 posts? All the deets about the festivities, prizes and a list of blogs participating in the hop are on The Greeting Farm Blog.
Tip: to go back and forth, use Control+click on each link, which will open up a new window. Then you can easily navigate back to the TGF blog without having to use the "go back" arrow, which can be very frustrating and time consuming.
I'll see you on the hop! Enjoy!
And CONGRATULATIONS MARIE!!! This one's for YOU!!!

Happy 4th of July!
Happy Independence Day my American friends! And Happy Day to everyone else!
While I am indeed proud to be an American, I also recognize that this is a great big world geographically, yet a very small world in terms of how we are all connected. And one thing is for sure, God is great and He loves each one of us just the same. God Bless America, and God Bless the World!
This week's challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ is hosted by the lovely Chris Olsen. She chose as this week's scripture inspiration 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
That sounds simple enough, doesn't it? We sin, we feel remorse, we repent, and we ask God for forgiveness... and then we sin again. While I don't think it gives us a free pass to keep sinning, we can rest in knowing that we are forgiven time and again by our Heavenly Father, who sent his only son to pay the price for our sin. But we must keep trying, my friends. We must keep trying.
I hope you'll pop over to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ blog to read Chris's devotional.
The challenge this week is to use the color red and/or blue in your card/project, although it need not be patriotic.
I've been wanting to ink up Cheeky Mate for quite some time. I especially love her because my dear mother was in the Army as a young woman in the 40's. I have the most amazing photos of her. For those who were following my scrapbook pages of my mom, I'll be sure to do a page soon showing her in uniform. She was a stunner!
I also have to tell you that my heart belongs to the 40's. I love the music and the fashion from that era. It's crazy, but true.
And of course, my father was career military, so I guess you could say this day and this image resonate with me!
By the way, if you want to read a great book that takes place in the 40's, read Coming Home by Rosamunde Pilcher. Excellent! It will transport you. Another one is The Shell Seekers, also by Rosamunde Pilcher. Hmmm... I think I feel a re-read coming on.
Since I'm finally playing with one of my beloved stamps by The Greeting Farm, it seemed only right that I play in this week's sketch challenge at Club Anya & Friends.
I can't wait to see what you come up with using the colors red and/or blue!
Have a truly memorable day, my friends!

Alice Holds the Key?
CHAPTER 12: Curiosity is Key...
"Suddenly Alice came upon a little three-legged table, all made of solid glass; there was nothing on it except a tiny golden key, and Alice's first thought was that it might belong to one of the doors of the hall; but, alas! either the locks were too large, or the key was too small, but at any rate it would not open any of them. However, on the second time round, she came upon a low curtain she had not noticed before, and behind it was a little door about fifteen inches high: she tried the little golden key in the lock, and to her great delight it fitted!"
Hello again! Welcome back to our Oh, Alice challenge! This week your curiosity is KEY to this week's challenge.
Rather, the Key IS the challenge! Yep! Let's see how YOU open the door to your creativity this week using a KEY as your inspiration. You can use embellishments, DP, stamps, whatever KEY elements you have to play is fine with us!
There's no time limit to play this week, however, entries are always appreciated by everyone at Oh, Alice! and we'd love to stop by your blogs to see your beautiful creations. Your participation is KEY to all of this and to show you just how much we thank you, we have a fantastic prize next week along with a fun few announcements too!
Have a Curious week, everyone!
A note about my card: that sweet image is from a stamp set called Signature by The Greeting Farm, which must be sold out because I can't find it on the website. My KEY element is the keyhole by Melissa Frances, through which I threaded the ribbon. The DP is by Doodlebug Designs, part of a past Key Ingredients kit by Taylored Expressions.

Shake Shake Shake Senora
Note: This is my second post for today. Please scroll down or click for this week's Tiddly Inks challenge card.
Woo hoo!!! It's nearly time for the debut of The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge blog, so we're celebrating with a Blog Hop!!! And, of course, we must do it Burton style, so our theme is Beetlejuice!!! As Beetlejuice would say, IT'S SHOW TIME!!!
The fun starts on The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge blog, so be sure to start there and follow The Burtonesque Dolls trail, collecting clues along the way so that you can enter to win some amazing Blog Candy!!! And I do believe some of the Design Team members are also offering some Blog Candy, including me!!!
Leave a comment on my post and you'll be entered to win a $10 Gift Certificate to The Greeting Farm!!! Perhaps you will use some of the money to buy the digi image I used for my card... Wild Sprout Dressy Ebony, who many refer to as Alice from Twilight. I had my son use Photoshop to remove the flower from her hair before coloring her up to be... guess who... Lydia, the goth girl in Beetlejuice who could see the ghosts. Remember, she was played by Winona Ryder? In case you forgot, here's a memorable scene from the move:
Unfortunately, I'm not artistic enough to color her uniform properly, but I do think Miss Ebony bears a resemblance to Lydia... if you squint!{LOL}
The clue you need from my blog is: While alone and insane encased in his tomb
Now on you go to Margie's blog for the next clue! Good luck!!! And enjoy!!!
P.S. I just realized that my card qualifies for the current challenge at Copic Creations, which is Black Hair. And what do you know, The Greeting Farm is sponsoring! Fingers crossed!!!

April Showers Bring May Flowers
Happy Monday! If we lived our lives by weekends, we'd only have 52 per year, so let's not lament Mondays so much. (Yes, I can hear you all saying, "yeah right."
But it IS the start of a new challenge at The Pink Elephant, so that's a good thing!!!
This week we have a color challenge, and the color is AQUA! April showers bring May flowers, and rain is thought of as being aqua blue, right? So I went all the way with the theme and colored up this adorable Wild Sprouts Rain Rain digi image by The Greeting Farm, I LOVE rain, so this is a happy challenge for me!
It seemed only right to follow the Sketchy Saturday sketch at Club Anya & Friends. The DP is from the Pink Flamingo collection by Stampin' Up. The "water drops" are Rain Dots by Cloud 9 Designs. The flower is cut from Papertrey Ink flower dies.
I hope you'll stop by The Pink Elephant to play this week, and also to wish a fond farewell to several Design Team members who are retiring after today's challenge. They will be missed!
See you all tomorrow for the next Tiddly Inks Challenge AND a very special blog hop... bwaaahahhaaaaahaaaa!
