Happy Saturday! Happy Fall! I know this is kind of a funny card for me to be making this time of year, but I'm using up scraps I've discovered while cleaning up my craft room... you know, the ones that are too good to toss... and, trust me, I've tossed a lot...gone are the days of keeping every little scrap. :) Besides, living here in Southern California, where it's HOT HOT HOT, rain is the best I get when it comes to changing seasons. And I happen to LOVE rain. So thanks for indulging me with this sweet image called Rainy Day Ruby from my dear friend Sparkle's store. :)
I made this card for this week's sketch at Sketch Saturday. Our sponsor is The Craft Barn, offering an amazing prize to one lucky player! Be sure to check out the post for all the details and to see the design team's cards...they are spectacular!!!
This is my last hurrah as a design team member for Sketch Saturday. It's been a great run, and I sincerely thank Jo for inviting me to be a part of it all. I was so proud to be the only designer from the US on the team, and it was a really hard decision to step down. But my focus needs to be elsewhere now. I hope you all will continue to visit their blog and play... the sketches are among the best!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

But wait, there's more! SCRS is also releasing 2 new Karber Rubber Stamps -- Rainbow Leslie and Reading Millie! They are ALL available in the store now!
Sparkle has assembled an all-star lineup consisting of her Current Design Team, DT Alumni and past/present Guest Designers. If you happened here by chance and would like to start from the beginning, the hop begins at the SCRS blog -- please see the complete list below.
What's a hop without prizes? Sparkle has hidden TEN single stamp prizes along the way and one lucky winner will win the ENTIRE July release! All you need to do is leave some love at every stop along the hop.. You have until 11:59 PM EST on Sunday to leave comments for a chance to win! Winners will be announced on the SCRS blog on Monday. Good luck to all and Happy Hopping!
Thanks SO much for joining us!
I am very proud to have been one of Sparkle's first design team members. I had a blast! Some of my favorite cards are ones I made with SCRS stamps, and this one is no exception. Lucky me got to play with Ukelele Josh. It doesn't take much to make a striking card with this wonderful image taking center stage.

You Are Purrrrrrfection!
Happy Saturday! Time for another fantastic sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday!!!
Our sponsor this week is one of my very favorite stamp companies Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps! I had the privilege of being part of Sparkle's inaugural Design Team. I was looking back over the cards I made while part of her team, and I'm telling you the truth... they are some of my favorite cards ever!
My card today features Kitty Cat Josh. Of course I'm drawn to this stamp because I have two cats and four boys. (*grin*) I paired Josh and his kitty with patterned paper and embellies from the Max & Whiskers collection by Basic Grey. Purrrrrrfect.
I hope you'll play with our sketch this week! Be sure to drop by the Sketch Saturday blog to see the lovely creations from the rest of the design team AND to see the prize up for grabs from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!
Oh, and check this out!

Love is in the air...
Hello all you love-ly ladies out there. Time for another fantastic challenge at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!!!
I happen to love this image of Cafe Lucy. I confess, I'm partial to coffee. Gotta have it every morning, and sometimes even at night. I paired Cafe Lucy with patterned paper from Papertrey Ink. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the challenge graphic... perfect!
The sketch is from Friday Sketchers.
Why not come along and play with us this week? There's a chance you'll win a free stamp! You'll really be inspired when you see what the rest of the design team have come up with for our LOVE theme:
I also need to mention that this is my last post as a member of Sparkle's design team. It was a hard decision to make 'cause I've loved every minute of being on her team. I am so proud... always will be... that I was part of her inaugural team. And no doubt I will continue to be a customer and enjoy my SCRS stamps for a long time to come. Wait until you see who's joining the team in February! I see lots of wonderful things in store for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. ;)
Cheers!

Amore, Amour, Love
No matter how you say it, Love is a wonderful thing!
Hey everyone, time for another fantastic challenge at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!!!
My dear friend Kim Yu has come up with a wonderful sketch for us to play with this week! Since Valentine's Day is around the corner, I reached for adorable Valentine Oliver and paired him with patterned paper from the Sugar Rush collection by Basic Grey. As you can see, I cut out the words "amore, Amour and LOVE" from the patterned paper to create the greeting for my card.
Come on over and join us this week! You'll not only enjoy playing with the sketch, but you'll also have a chance to win a stamp from Sparkle! For more inspiration, take a peek at what the rest of the design team have created with this fabby sketch:
With the new year upon us, we are looking to add a new position to the Sparkle Creations team. We are having an open call for a Sponsorship Coordinator. Below are the specifications and requirements for the position.

Today we are showing Celebrating Chloe! This time I turned to Jen's January Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) for inspiration.I wish I could tell you the name of the patterned paper, but I don't know. ("sparkle," get it? *grin*) This card is winging its way to my step-mother Wanda!
Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of Celebrating Chloe. Sparkle will be giving away a Celebrating Chloe to one lucky person! For a chance to win, you need to comment on all of the designer's blogs (list below). Then head on over to the SCRS blog and comment on the Josh post. You have until midnight EST each day to comment. Yay, it's time for a preview of one of the TWO new stamps being released by Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps on Saturday!!!
Today, we're showcasing Birthday Josh. Isn't he cool? Since my mojo and I have been on vacation for the past several weeks (ha!), I went in search of a good sketch to get me going, and found this one at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Cupid Emily
After taking a holiday break, we're back again with more fabulous challenges at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!
I was sad to hear that Mercy Kerin is discontinuing her Tuesday Sketch Challenge. Boo hoo! So I had to play in the last one.
I cropped Cupid Emily to fit the sketch. Isn't she adorable? I love her! The patterned paper is from the Olivia collection by Basic Grey. The twine reminds me of the string of Emily's bow. :)
I hope you'll come along and join us in this week's challenge... get the creative juices flowing again! For inspiration, you'll definitely want to check in on what the design team has come up with using ribbon or string:
Oh, and we'll be back later this week with two new stamps to add to your Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps collection. All I can say is, YOWSER!!!

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps December Release Part 2!
Hey everyone! We're back again to showcase the second of two stamps being released right now at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!!!
Today we are showcasing Valentine Oliver. He is so dapper, isn't he? And Oliver surely knows how to please a girl... roses and chocolates! Yeah baby!
I paired Valentine Oliver with patterned paper and a chipboard piece from the Circa 1934 collection by Cosmo Cricket (which I love love love!). The sentiment is by Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps December Release!
Hey everyone! It's time once again for a new release at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!!!
Today we are showcasing Cupid Emily. Isn't she adorable? I just love her! and She's so fun and easy to color. I turned the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #95 on its side and paired Cupid Emily with patterned paper from Papertrey Ink. The large snap is by We R Memory Keepers... something I dug out of my stash from last year (or was it two?)... topped with a bow tied with pink baker's twine. The sentiment is by Waltzingmouse Stamps. Be sure to cock your head so that you won't notice that "be my" is crooked. (*grin*)
We'll be back tomorrow with a peek at the second stamp being released this month. He's a cutie!

Dashing Through the Snow!
Hi everyone! Time for another fabulous challenge at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!!!
Yep, it's a color challenge, and I have to say I LOVE this combo! Who knew that brown, white and red would make a terrific Christmas card? Not me!
It's double the fun because Sparkle is hosting sweet Carly Breach's sketch challenge, which goes until December 16th. Carly is my friend Kris Breach's 12 y/o daughter, and she is super talented... just like her mom! She draws up fantastic sketches... a great resource in case you ever find yourself in need of a sketch to get your juices started. (which would be me most of the time!)
Anyhoo, I flipped Carly's sketch on its side for my card featuring Sledding Chloe. Our girl Chloe sure knows how to ride in style!
I created the brown background panel by embossing the star background (by Hero Arts) in white. Reminder: before you heat emboss, use your static remover (e.g., Stampin Up's Embossing Buddy)! I'm going to stick a note on my forehead so I don't forget again next time. lol
Because the image is large, I stitched around it instead of creating a cardstock border. I punched out the snowflake on white cardstock and then covered it with chunky glitter.
Why not come play with us AND Carly this week??? There's a chance to win a stamp in our color challenge and a chance to win the two newest stamps to be released by Sparkle this month if you play in Carly's sketch challenge!!!
For more inspiration, please visit Sparkle and the rest of the design team to see what they've cooked up for the color challenge. You will love them all!
See you again soon!

Life is Good!
Yes, it is! I'm in a really good mood right now. I think my trip "home" to Mississippi to visit my family was just what I needed. Suddenly, I feel revived and hopeful and excited again... something I haven't felt in the past couple of years. It's awesome!
Plus, it's time for another fun challenge at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!
You all remember Central Perk, right? The hang-out on the tv show Friends? I wonder how much they had to do with the Starbucks craze. (*grin*)
I thought the patterned papers from the Max & Whiskers collection by Basic Grey captured the colors of the inspiration piece perfectly! Street Corner Josh definitely looks like he's enjoying life as he sips his coffee... this time, I'm thinking it's a Gingerbread Latte. Have you tried one? Mmmmm!!!
Please do come along and play with us this week! You'll definitely be inspired when you see what the rest of the design team have created!

Sweet Cupcake Ruby
Hey everyone! It's time for another fun challenge at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!!
Giving thanks. Always a winner! And what's even more fun is that SCRS is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches this week, and the challenge is to use cupcakes on your card! The prize up for grabs is adorable Cupcake Ruby, who is featured on my card today.
My mojo felt a bit flat when I sat down to make my card, so I did the sure-fire thing...looked around for a great sketch to get me going. I found one over at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
I paired Cupcake Ruby with patterned paper and a felt flower from the Marjolaine collection by Basic Grey. The greeting is by SRM.
Why not come along and play with us this week at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps? You can always use one more thank-you card, and you might just win a prize! And if you combine it with cupcakes, you can also play in the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge for a chance to win Cupcake Ruby!
For more inspiration, please visit the rest of the SCRS design team ladies:

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps November Release!
Hey y'all! It's that wonderful time of the month again (*grin*), time for a new release at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!!!
This month we have TWO new very cool stamps to share with you! Today we're showcasing Street Corner Josh. He's chillin' with his coffee (I'm guessing it's a Pumpkin Spice Latte!) and tunes while he waits for the bus in the big city. Isn't he great? I already have more ideas about how to use him and can't wait to give them a try!
Today, I paired him with DP from the Wander collection by Basic Grey, which BTW I love love love! It's perfect for Street Corner Josh.
For a chance to win this cutie, you'll want to hop around to all the blogs and leave comments along the way. You have until midnight Eastern Friday night. The winner will be announced Saturday on the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps blog. Good luck and have fun!
