Paper Pierced Mr Frosty

Hi there crafters, another little Christmassy card for you again today.

So as usual I started with the 7" x 7" white card blank.
Then cut several pieces of card in lilac and white for matting, layering and embellishing as follows:

6 ½ x 6 ½  Lilac Bazzil Basics Card
6 ¼ x 6 ¼ Plain White Card
6 ¼ x 2 Lilac Strip
6 ¼ x 1 ¾ White Strip
6 ¼ x 1 ½ Lilac Strip

Then cut a piece of lilac card 4 ½ x 4 ½ then a piece of white card 4 x 4 for the image.

I then stamped the Woodware Mr Frosty stamp onto the 4 x 4 white card with a little sentiment then again on to some scrap, this is going to be for colouring and cutting out.

I tipped out a tiny amount of the Starlights Lilac Mist onto a tile and added a very small amount of water and carefully painted in the scarf and hat on the second snowman and painted the stars and hat band with Silver Starlights.

On the main image I decided to paint the snowman's body with some Blanc Rusty Patina and before it dried I sprinkled some glitter on him to give more texture.  I also coloured in his carrot nose with water colour paints.  Then cut out the hat, scarf and stars from the second image.

Next was to put the card together, before that I wanted to add some texture to the background, so using the Hobby Art Winter Snowflakes stamps and the Press to Impress platform I randomly stamped some snowflakes using Versamark and Wow Bright White Embossing Powder.

Then I layered up the white onto the lilac, then place the largest strip down in the centre first before matting the white then the next piece of lilac.

I then 3D foamed the back of the main image and placed that in the centre of the card.

Just as an embellishment I used one of the larger snowflakes from the Tando Mini Snowflakes and painted it with Rusty Patina again then covered it glitter, keeping the little start in the centre of the snowflake so I could place a little gem there.

I then wanted a bit more interest and just added a few random lilac gems to finish.

Here's the completed card again

Thank you for dropping by the blog again today,  hopefully will see you soon.

Imagination Crafts Santa Claus

Hi there crafters, today's blog features the Imagination Crafts Santa Claus Art Stamp.

A nice little simple card too, as you can see some old fashioned matting and layering to complement the stamp.

First of all I wanted a little bit of sparkle around the 7" x 7" card itself, so I dabbed some Imagination Crafts Diamond Sparkle Medium on to my craft mat before transferring onto the card border.

Santa was stamped using Versafine Black Onyx and WOW Clear Sparkle Embossing Powder onto Super Smooth card.

I wanted the image to pop so I used the Bright Red Sparkle Medium to create the border by dabbing onto a craft mat before transferring it around the border of the image.  I then tied some red and white bakers twine around the bottom card before matting it onto some white then red card.

I stamped the Imagination Craft Art Stamp Christmas Words onto a piece of white card I cut slightly larger than the Santa image but not as wide, again using Versafine but this time I used WOW clear Embossing powder.  I then created the border as before then matted it using the same method as the Santa.

The little sentiment got the same treatment then it was ready to assemble, making sure there was the same amount of distance around the edge of the background piece.  I used 3D foam on the Santa image and the sentiment.

Here's the card again with a close up.

The card done, hope you like the simplicity of the this card, thank you for dropping by, take care and see you again very soon.

**Remember the Lisa B Designs November class has been postponed to November 11. Lisa will be demoing on The Imagination Crafts stand at the Hobbycrafts show at the NEC this weekend, if you're visiting the show stop by and say hello.**

Imagination Crafts Winter Robin on Silver

Hi there crafters, today's card is on a similar line to last week's, where I used the Imagination Crafts Winter Robin Stamp but this time I used Wow Iced Silver Embossing Powder and Silver Sparkle Medium.........

So, as usual, I used a 7" x 7" white card and cut a piece of black card slightly smaller to mat onto.

This time I used Black Stars Sparkle Medium around the border of the black card and applied it with my finger so it created a slight hint of foiling.

I then cut a slightly smaller piece of Super Smooth white Card to create a background using the Imagination Crafts Christmas Words Art Stamp.   Stamped it all over using Versamark and Wow   Iced Silver Embossing Powder.

I then distressed the border of the card with Silver Sparkle Medium again using my finger to create a foiled look.

That's the background sorted, now onto the topper, which I stamped the Imagination Crafts Winter Robin Art Stamp using Versafine Black Onyx and WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder on a piece of white Super Smooth Card, then distressed the edges of the card with the Silver Sparkle Medium as before.

The last thing to do was put the card together, I matted the background card onto the black, then I wrapped a piece of white ribbon on the left top corner before sticking it down to the base card.

I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Hobby Art Poinsettia Stamp set onto some white card in silver and distressed, then backed that with black before placing on the finished card..........

Another simple little card but what makes them special are the stamp sets.

Thanks again for dropping by and see you again soon.

Love, Jan -x-

Monochromatic Hobby Art Poinsettia

Hello again crafters, wow how these Fridays come around so quickly.
Today's card has been done with the Hobby Art Poinsettia in a black and white theme.

I took a 7" x 7" white card and matted it with plain black card , then I cut a slightly smaller piece of the Super Smooth white card and using Versafine Black Onyx ink I stamped the poinsettia images as seen below then clear embossed.

I wanted to create a poinsettia background just using Versamark &  Wow Bright White Embossing Powder, so masked off all three images using Mask-it then started to randomly stamped the large poinsettia stamp over the masked images.

Once the first layer was done, I removed the mask from the large image an replaced it over some of the white embossed areas so I could do the same again to fill in the gaps you can see in the above picture :o)

Once all that was done, I wanted to decoupage the black outlined images so stamped onto black card using clear Versamark and embossing with Wow Bright White and stamped the images again on to white card using Versafine Black Onyx and Wow Clear Embossing Powder.  I then cut out the images as I wanted them layered onto the images.

Next was the sentiment, I used the Merry Christmas stamp from the same set and stamped onto some Super Smooth white card, quite a large piece so I could cut it down to fit the card, then masked the sentiment with a pieced of Mask-it then randomly stamped the large poinsettia over the image and embossed.

I then cut it down to the size I wanted then backed it with a piece of black card.

Then I built up the poinsettias forming them as I stuck them on and glued small gems in the centre of each poinsettia.

Thank you for dropping by the blog today and I hope you enjoyed it.
