March Madness Sale

Hello lovelies, a quick post to say hello and tell you that I'm doing another sale on the website. I've been giving it a spring clean and thought you might like to treat yourselves to new goodies.

All you need to do is spend a minimum of £10, enter the code MARMS30 when you're checking out your basket and you'll get 30% off - that applies to EVERYTHING on the website, including items in the MEGA SALE section.

The sale will run for the entire month of March and you can use the code multiple times.

I reduced more items today, but I haven't added them all to the MEGA SALE section yet and I'll probably reduce more prices over the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for more bargains.

Have a great March and look after yourselves.

Hugs, Lisa B xx

As usual, it's been a bit hectic here. I got back on Sunday night from the Hobbycraft Christmas show at the NEC - it was great fun and so busy! - and I've hardly stopped since, there's still lots to do before Sunday.
I'd like to say a huge thank you for the lovely response to the new stamp sets I designed for Hobby Art. They were very successful on Hochanda and almost sold out at the NEC, but I managed to get a few sets for the Lisa B Designs' website........

At this Sunday's workshop, we'll be using Crafter's Companion stamp and die sets to make Christmas cards. The workshop fee includes a stamp and die set, plus a separate die, to use during the workshop and to take home afterwards. Here's a snippet of one of the samples..............

For those of you attending the workshop, here is a list of what we are going to be using, but PLEASE don't worry if you don't have any of them as there will be some of each to use. If you do have any of them and want to bring them with you, it may save you having to wait for items:

Die Cutting Machine
Heat Gun
Onyx Black Versafine Ink/Black Archival Ink
Distress Oxides
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
Clean Colour Pens
Clear/Coloured Wink of Stella Pens
Metallic Paints eg Gold Starlights

February Newsletter

Hello!  Happy February and a belated happy new year, I hope 2018 is treating you well so far. January was a bit of a wash out as both Kirsten and I were ill with the horrible flu that has been going around. It was very disappointing that I had to cancel the January workshop, but we just couldn't have done it. We're feeling much better now, so it's onwards and upwards.............

Saturday February 10, between 10am and 3pm, will be the first workshop of the year at Grove Green Community Hall, ME14 5BT and I've got two options..................

The theme is Spring Floral and the first option is a 30x40cm canvas panel. You will use an assortment of mediums, including paint, texture paste, stencils etc., greyboard flowers from That's Crafty and create your own foam flowers to add extra dimension to your project.

The cost for this option is £30.00 and includes the canvas panel and all the materials.

To book online click HERE or telephone me on 01622 675078.

The second option is to use the same materials and techniques to create FOUR 7x7 Spring cards. The cost for this option is £25.00 and again, all materials, including card blanks and card to use as your substrate, is included.

To book online click HERE or telephone me on 01622 675078.

The next workshop at Grove Green will be the Card Making Masterclass on Saurday February 24, between 10am and 3pm. The theme will be Resist Techniques, using various products. I'll be adding sneak peeks to the blog/Lisa B Designs Facebook page/etc., so keep an eye out for them.

The cost is £25.00, which includes four cards and TWO stamp sets for you to use during the workshop and keep.

To book online click HERE or telephone me on 01622 675078The January workshop has been rescheduled to Sunday March 11. Again, there are two options, you can find the information HERE.

All workshops must be booked and paid for in advance. My mobile shop will be present during the workshops and is open to all, so if you're in the area feel free to drop in.

In other news, I've added various new items to the website, including Flower Foam and cutting dies from Leane Creatief. The Flower foam is available in packs of 5 sheets of A4 and the colours are beautiful - we'll be using them in the February workshop.

I'm expecting the arrival of the March issue of Craft Stamper any day now, so keep an eye on the website for it. As always, it's packed full of gorgeous mixed media and stamping projects and includes a FREE acrylic stamp............

**Update! It's arrived and is on the website!**

You can find all the new products in the What's New section.

I think that's all the news for now. I hope you have a great February and I'm looking to forward to seeing many of you at the workshops.

JoFY Snowman

Good morning, Kirsten here, happy chilly Monday. I hope you had a nice weekend. I've got two quick Christmas cards to show you today, both made with the very cute snowman from stamp set JOFY58 from PaperArtsy...................

This one has a background of Victorian Velvet Distress ink, with Picked Raspberry DI sponged lightly through a snowflake stencil and splatters of Silver Starlights Metallic Paint.

I stamped the snowman on to the background with Jet Black Archival and again onto white card with Onyx Black Versafine, heat setting with WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder. I coloured his hat and the baubles with pens before cutting him out and fixing him to the background with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear glue.

I finished the card with a little bit of scribbling with black pen and matting and layering onto a 6x6 card blank..............

Card no. 2 was another very quick background. This time Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks on white card, with Royal Blood Infusions from PaperArtsy sprinkled on top and spritzed with water. When that was dry I added splatters of Rich Gold Starlights

I made sure the background was thoroughly dry before applying Imagination Craft's Structure Paste through the same snowflake stencil as above, otherwise the inks would have tinted the paste. I added glitter to the wet paste, but it's not showing up in the photo.

I repeated the steps with the snowman as above, placing him at the bottom of the card this time and adding the sentiment from JOFY56....................

On Friday and Saturday of this week the Lisa B Designs Christmas Party Classes take place - SO much to do beforehand!! :-) There will be a newsletter going out in the next few days, but please note the time of the AFTERNOON class............

Zinski Art Christmas Cards

Hi everyone, Kirsten here with two more of the Christmas card samples I made for the classes at the end of October. I used the gorgeous Zinski Art 18 stamp set from PaperArtsy.........

The background for this card is just Rich Gold and Red Starlights splattered onto white card. I stamped the baubles on top with Jet Black Archival ink, then again to separate white card with Onyx Black Versafine ink, heat setting with WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder. I coloured them with Distress inks, cut them out and covered them with double-sided adhesive and loose glitter........

I did the same for the little owl, but instead of gliitter I added Glossy Accents just to his eyes................

The cute little penguin is from is from another Zinski Art set, not in stock at the moment. He has three little stars over his head and I used them on the background of this card, after I'd swiped the white card through some Broken China distress ink, spritzed with water..............

I created the spiky mushrooms, again from Zinski Art 18, as I did the baubles on the first card, but didn't add glitter, just some Glosst Accents to the dots.................

When I stamped the penguin on to the background I made sure his feet were stamped on to the hill, so that when the hill was covered in glitter and he was placed on top of the spiky mushrooms it looked as if he was standing in the snow..............
