Circle Easel Card

Hi there crafters, hope you're enjoying the warm weather, a bit too warm for me though.

Today's little card is using the Indigo Blu Ella Bella (Sale on the web site) stamp again, I think she's quite effective, again I also used the Imagination Crafts Clematis Elements as I love the fact you can use the flower heads for a background, as I did with this card, but also cut them out to be 3D.

First of all I folded a piece of A4 White card in half, then using my largest circle die, I placed it on the folded card so the die just slight hung over the edge so was able to open the card.

I then cut a single circle for the stamped image.

Next was to do some matting and layering with Bazzil Basic Black Card Stock.

Then assembled the plain circle card onto the easel

I then wanted to created my own background card by using the flower heads from the Imagination Craft Clematis Elements, I used one large and one small flower head.     I stamped the largest head using Versafine and stamped directly onto the card, the smaller flower head I decided to secondary stamping.

I then cut a smaller circle in the basic black then mounted the background card onto that.  I cut another smaller white circle of card for my main image.   I wanted to use the  Indigo Blu Ella Bella again, I think she's quite striking.  This time I stamped her with Versafine and embossed using the Wow clear embossing powder.  I gave it it's vintage look by distressing with Hickory Smoke Distress ink and just blended it slightly around the edge of the image, then matted all the elements together.

The next step was to embellish and place the easel stopper together.  So cut a small piece of black card then white to matt them together, I placed some 3D foam pads on the back for height and placed a little Happy Birthday sentiment in the centre.

I stamped the two flower heads three times each so I could cut them out and create 3D flowers.

So placing the small flower head inside the large one and put a gem in the centre of each.  I then cut out a couple of little butterflies, added a gem and placed them around the image.  Popping the flower heads on and, voila it was done.  Nice and easy, so hope you liked it.

Here's the card again.

Look forward to seeing some of you at the class today and thank you for dropping by the blog today.

Indigo Blu & Imagination Crafts

Hi all you crafter out there, how have you been coping in this hot weather?  It's nice to relax in but not work, at least it's a bit cooler now.

Today's card is using the Indigo Blu Ella Bella stamp again, (this is on sale on the website at the moment), but this time jazzed it up with some Distress Inks and Imagination Crafts New Art Stamps designed by Lisa herself.

I started with a 7" x 7" white card and matted it with a piece of black then white card.  The white card was used to create the image.

I wanted to use a few of the distress inks so used the following:

Using smoothies I covered the white card randomly with the distress inks, blending as I went.

Next was to stamp the Ella Bella image onto the side of the card using Versafine and Wow clear Embossing powder.

I wanted to add some background stamps so chose Imagination Crafts Art Stamps Distress Textures 1.   I randomly stamped a few of the images over the card until I was happy with the result.

I then stamped a few butterflied from the Imaginations Crafts Art Stamps Time to Celebrate set to cut out and 3D onto the butterflies.

I just cut out the wings not the bodies, which was nice and easy.  I love using these little butterflies at the moment, they are a great embellishment when they are 3D.

I then thought the whole thing needed a little sparkle, so used a glue pen on some of the background images and dipped in some glitter.  I also drew in some glue into Ella Bella's hair and glittered that too.

Next was to stamp a little sentiment also from the Time to Celebrate set and cut into shapes then backed them with black card, Lisa and the team are doing this on their cards at the moment and I think it's a lovely effect.

Next was to mount the card together and place the butterfly wings on using cosmic shimmer dries clear glue and the card was finished.

I hope you enjoyed this little card today and thank you once again for dropping by.

Ella Bella Silhouette

Hi all, Jan here, using the Indigo Blu Ella Bella stamp again this week but with a little bit of colour.

As always, I started with a square white card and cut a piece of black card 5.5" x 5.5" and a piece of super smooth white slightly smaller.

I created the background using the Imagination Crafts Crackle Mosaic Stencil, taping down in the usual way.

And distressed through it using Ranger Shaded Lilac, and pressed through some light and dark areas.  I thought it then needed some sparkle so foiled some Lavender Sparkle Medium and left that to dry for a short while.

In the meantime I stamped Indigo Blu Ella Bella using Versafine and Wow Clear Embossing Powder onto a fairly large piece of square paper, I wanted to shape this but wasn't sure how I was going to do that until the image was stamped. I decided to shape the corners of the card, distress the edges of the card with Lavender again and then back with black card.

Once the background card was dry, I decided to shape the corners as before but just back it with the black card.

I then tapped some lilac ribbon in the centre of the card.

I added 3D Foam Tape to the back of the image and placed in the centre of the background card.

To finish I stamped a large and small flower head from the Clematis Elements Stamp Set, distress them then cut them out before shaping and gluing together.  I had some very thin lilac ribbon I cut into three little lengths and stuck them in the corner before placing the flower on top and adding a gem into the centre.  Done :o)

You can put any sentiment you like on this little card.  I hope you enjoyed it and thank you for dropping by today.

Lisa is taking bookings for the next two workshops at Grove Green. You can find the information about them HERE and there are still places on the July classes, information HERE.

Indigo Blu Ella Bella

Hello all, I hope you're all well, who can believe we are into June, where does it go.

Today's card is using Indigo Blu and Imagination Crafts Products.

I started with a 7" x 7" white card and cut a black then white mat, which I used for the images.

I stamped the Indigo Blu Ella Bella stamp (which is 22% off on the web site at them moment), and using Versafine Black Onyx with WOW Clear Embossing Powder
(Sorry I forgot to take a photo of Ella Bella on her own, I was eager to get onto the next step)

Next I used Imaginations Crafts Clematis Elements, (29% off of the web site)  but only wanted to use the Clematis Elements.  I stamped 3 large and 3 small flower heads again using embossing powder, then cut them all out and put to one side

The next step was to put something in the top right hand corner ad was inspired by the free stencil you got free at the Friday Class.  I only wanted to use the corner image, so placed it on the card and tapped off using Repositionable Tape, everything I didn't need before spreading Imagination Crafts Structure Paste over the stencil.

Whilst that was drying, I shaped the flowers and placed the smaller flower head inside the large and glued with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue a Clear Diamond Gem in each centre.

Once the paste was dry I placed the stencil back over the card and taped it down as before making sure I only had the paste elements showing through.  I decided to use Imagination Crafts Black Starlights to give it a bit of sparkle.

I wanted a sentiment so used the one from the Clematis Elements, this actually comes as one stamp but I cut mine in half length ways to create two stamps so I could place them where I wanted.  Stamped using the same mediums as before.

I decided it needed some more dimension so stamped 5 little butterflies from the New Imagination Crafts Time to Celebrate stamp set, designed by Lisa, stamped and embossed as before and cut out.

To finish the card I matted the black onto the card then the finished card onto that before gluing on the butterflies and flower heads.

Here's the card again, I hope you enjoyed the demo, not too difficult, all techniques we've used before.

Thank you for dropping by the blog again today.
