Good morning, Kirsten here. I hope you all had a great weekend. I've got another of my Starlights projects to show you today. This time it's a 20x20cm (8x8") canvas board...........
I began by painting the board with White Linen & a tiny drop of London Blue Dylusions paint. I applied the first layer with a paintbrush, dried it, then applied more White Linen with a damp baby wipe, until I was happy with the colour..................
Once that was thoroughly dry, I applied more White Linen, through the Imagination Crafts'
Leaf Swirl stencil. This was to be very faint when dry, so I didn't use a lot of paint...........
I masked off all but one of the poinsettias from the Imagination Crafts Poinsettia Large stencil & applied Silver Starlights through it with a round blending tool & foam...........
Then Aqua Sea Sparkle Medium through the Imagination Crafts Holly Corner stencil on the top left corner..................
The Starlights mix together to make gorgeous new colours, so for the Leane Creatief poinsettia, leaves & pine branches I mixed Blue & Silver & painted it onto white Super Smooth card. I painted the Sue Wilson Holly Sprays with Silver & Blue...............
I brayered Diamond Sparkle Medium onto white card & Silver Starlights onto another piece & die cut both with the NOEL die (by Sizzix & from my stash). I glued them together, offsetting the top layer slightly.
I added a few adhesive pearls & edged the board with Silver Starlights & the canvas was finished.........
That's it from me until next Monday. Have a great week & don't forget that we would love to see your Starlights projects in the blog challenge.
